Gear Check!

For anyone serious about their character and performance, peer critiquing is extremely helpful.

This thread is dedicated to posting character profiles and requesting feedback/suggestions for upgrades.

The best way to do this is to setup a magelo profile, and use raidloot.com (http://raidloot.com) as a resource for reviewing gear. I've outlined both below briefly to help.

Magelo

Site: eq.magelo.com (http://eq.magelo.com)

This is basically an EQ Character profile service. Whereby you can view your gear out of game and do all sorts of gear swaps/projections etc.

You can Register for free, but limited use, or Subscribe with a minor fee.

Non-subscription is limited to syncing AA only I believe. For gear/augs, you have to manually insert all the pieces via their lookup by item name etc.

Subscription allows for syncing of Gear/AA/Augs the works. It's by far the easiest, and fastest method to get up and going on what matters and that's getting your gear path sorted out.

The nice thing about Magelo is, you can create alternate profiles for your character. So for example, you can makeup a "Short Term" goal profile, with gear swaps for content we're currently farming, or coming up on the radar. Magelo automatically shows you the +/- differences from current/profile. Makes it easier to plan ahead.

Raidloot.com

This is the defacto standard at the moment for looking up gear, and doing quick comparsions etc. Highly recommend using this site for checking out the loot tables of raids we're currently farming and what's coming up on the radar.

The Process

So basically, register/sub to magelo in some form. Then sync/setup your character via magelo.

Once done, goto raidloot.com, and lookup gear related to what we're currently raiding and next tier.

For each choice from raidloot.com, slot it into your magelo "alternate profile" you setup for say maybe "Short Term" goals.

Continue this process until you're satisfied with the virtual upgrades.

Post in this thread your magelo link. From there, others will be able to review and offer advice/suggestions.

The important thing about this process is to not be subconscious about your gear. All that matters is that you're making the effort to improve your character, and that you take the advice offered into consideration.

Does it not sync gear unless you are a premium member? Or just take a while? My level synced fast, but my gear is still pretty old.

To update (semi) automatically, you need to be a premium member. If you don't want that, you can update each of your slot manually. Possible, but yeah pita. That's how they are trying to make you feel you want to pay them.

You also cannot have alternate profiles unless premium. I guess one could just create another profile, but it wouldn't be linked.

Ok, I'm just going to cover your AUGs first, and Mod2/3's at a glance. I havn't looked too closely at the other gear (visibles/non-visibles).

As a tank, in the heroic stats area, I'd focus on the following: AGI, DEX, STR. But first read the link below if you havn't done so aleady:

Aug Review

I put all your augs into a table below and replaced the ones with appropriate tank heroic/AC oriented. Some augs are lower AC then what's out there, but their heroics are what counts. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a degree of AC for heroic gains. It's all about culmulative heroic gains in those three key areas.

Aug Notes:

There are several seasonal events that result in extremely powerful AUG rewards. Unfortunately, you missed them this year, so I'm just going to reference them here until they pop up again around April or so.

Sacrifice as many kittens as you have to in order to get these when the events are live again:

Charm Aug

Best Charm aug is tied to a seasonal EQ Raid basically. It comes around every April or so yearly. The raid is called: Dragons, Dragons, Dragons (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=4845). There's a group version also. But basically, when this comes around again in April, get it done with Freelance.

In the interim, unless you've done LDONs WAY back and you have that aug banked or something, there's only one other AUG I can think of, but it's a tedius quest arc from the SoF expansion. Basically, unless you're done gear/aug wise, this would be the last resort imo though. However, I'll list it here for reference anyway in case: Valthon's Memory Shard (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=100084).

Mod2/3's

At a quick glance, you appear to be set on these modes. Most importantly, you're at 35+ shielding, and maxed on avoidance.

AC & Softcap

AC in your shield (secondary slot), directly contributes to raising your soft-cap. This helps mitigation, and why you see everyone putting their highest AC aug in their shield.

What you have currently in your shield is basically the best you're going to get until those "seasonal" events come live again. When that does, then slot in the 38 AC Beveled Mithril Gear Set aug imo.

Thanks a lot Furro for that very nice and complete suggestion. It will give me lots of work to replace all of those but time is something we have in this game... I will focus on one by one as I have some freetime .

Mooto's Stone is a pain to camp -- after hours upon hours of the single-placeholder camp in Al'Kabor's, I instead starting doing as many "Catastrophic Power" missions as I could. CP is not very hard at all -- I boxed it with Monk/Druid/2 cleric mercs a few times -- and after about six tries, the stone was in the chest.

Keep this in mind for some of the other drops and augs. The Incardadine Gemstone drops in the Bonfire of the Adherents mission (Lichen Creep), and can also be purchased at UF vendors IF you have the Convorteum 12-man raid done. The Stone of Insanity drops often in the Well mission "What Lies Below" -- like 10% of the time (another mission I often box with druid/monk).

Furro makes an excellent point about seasonal rewards. The 11th Hour run you can probably solo. :) Only hard part about this is waiting until next spring when they're active again.

For non-augs, I suggest the following: in any slots you have purchased HoT gear (Eidolon), please check out the following link:

This has an excellent list of the group gear that falls in HoT T4 (SS and MC), and where to get it, and who should be getting it. For example, in the top section ("Ear") you should probably get Warden's Hoop and Beast King's Claw, or browse for others that make sense.

While I'm not an AC king like Mten or the famous Manual, HoT T4 group gear is an excellent place to start if you don't have a lot of raid gear.

Oh, and for comparing, I use 1 AC = 10 HP. This seems to be accepted by a lot of folks. So if you see gear that's the same in heroics and other ways, but it has 10 more AC at the expense of 50HP, you take it. :) That's just my opinion, I'm not an official tank.

One more thing I forgot on the aug front. Change your BP to Emblem of Rallying Dreams (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?page=1&class=Cleric&text=emblem+of+rall&source=Group&view=Table). Your current Emblem doesn't give you any Hagi or Hdex.

Off-Topic Comment:

Off topic, but related to tanking. If able, start parsing yourself using GamParse (http://gambosoft.com/Pages/Downloads.htm).

Why Parse as a Tank?

Tank perspective: GamParse parses both offensive and defensive damage, among a other things. The defensive information is very detailed, but summarized etc, and you can combine multiple mobs etc for an overall picture for bosses that go active/inactive (ie, Queen, Brath etc). Why is this interesting? Because as you gear up, you can store this information and see how your tanking evolves as you gain heroics/AC/etc. Anyway, call me a geek, but the nice thing about EQ is it's complexity, and this is just another avenue to really get nitty gritty and min/max your potential. I admit, it's not for everyone though. :)

Heal perspective: Everquest doesn't echo heals from others, only heals that land on YOU, and only YOUR heals that land on others. That means, I have no means of parsing collective heals from others, towards tanks without those tanks actually parsing. What I'm interested in is heals towards the Main Tank for miniboss/boss sections of our raids. GamParse provides all of this in a nice summary area, and with an option to copy to clipboard which you can then use to paste into EQ channel(s). Anyway, the information is useful to me, and if it can be provided by all our MT's, it'd be greatly appreciated and helpful to the team.

DPS: Warriors do great DPS in addition to tanking, and by monitoring your DPS, as you tweak things you'll be able to see the improvements.

* EDIT: AA wise, when you're done Discordant Defiance, can you polish off Hastened Fortitude Discipline. That should bring your fort from 40 min refresh to 28 mins. Often times between wipes on hard hitters we're waiting on warrior discs like fort.

Charm Aug - Wanderlust Guild Loadstone (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=52451)
It's far from the best, but all it requires is a bunch of running around in the Serpent Spine in a quest arc. Basically, it's better than nothing, and you can work on it a little at a time and see immediate results (however minor they may be).

Obviously any group gear that is lower than T4 should be replaced with an appropriate T4 piece over T3 or lower. The exception being the purchased gear, because it has lower heroics, which you also want to replace with any appropriate piece of dropped T4 as well.

As Furro mentioned, parsing is for more than just DPS. The DPS parse is great for those with an inferiority complex ::), but healing parses are not uncommon in high end raiding guilds. It allows them to see who wasn't pulling their weight. The problem is, the person being healed or the person doing the healing has to report it. Personal tanking parses let you see what the aa's and gear is really doing for you.

Elnoche, I see you have a 38 ac aug that can go in your shield in your back and range slots. Beveled Mithril Gear Set or Hardened Steel Spur. Shield ac is uncapped ac, including that of any augs in the shield. You should always have the highest ac aug available in your shield.

Beyond that you're in pretty good shape as far as group gear is concerned. I would try to replace that vendor back slot with something else.

For raid gear upgrades, ac, h-agi, and h-dex should be main priority (not necessarily in that order) and any upgrades to things like Improved Dodge - Parry/Block and such. I'm sure some of the tanks can be a little more specific.

AUG Review

Your current AUG configuration is good for a defense oriented Monk (ie, Tank heroic augs w/AC). The critique below is based on an offensive (DPS oriented) AUG setup. Primary Heroics: STR, DEX.

You'll take a very minor AC hit with these swaps (-45). But to keep it minimal, I only selected AC oriented augs with the above key heroics.

I've updated, as many of the suggested augs I had in the bank. The only change left to make is to replace the Hardened Steel Spur (in face slot currently) with the Blazing Protective Scales.

You'll note I also changed both earrings (for ones that had more heroic STR) and also used a Gem of the Eleventh Dualist and Rock Guardian Shard (AC33/HP25/hStr3). I also updated the leggings as they are HoT Tier 1 Raid.

With these changes you suggested + the earrings, the following happened:

Str 766 > 786 (+20)
Dex 753 > 765 (+12)
Atk 2805 > 2823 (+18)
HP 52759 > 52737 (-22)
AC 5742 > 5674 (-68)

These are actual stats from the game, either the differences in what you suggested at 20AC off or it's a bigger difference in AC than expected.

Anyway, I figure I still need to camp the basilisk in Convo, but I think what I have is now better than the Crystal Dragon Scale. And then look for raid-quality range and neck items (one dropped in Decon but I bowed out of bidding last time).

Also, I can't update my inventory, but in it is the House Clock Pendulum Bob with an Unbreakable Sandstone (217/36 ratio with a 75 dmg bonus), but I am not entirely certain that parses better than the two hand-to-hands. And I do have a Hardened Energeiac Leather Tunic, as well as the epic 2.0 for click (it adds 10000 hp temporarily, useful) and a Dream Servant's Ring for Form of Defense VIII, and of course the old earrings for Soothing Breath III.

Do you know which Orb I should be using? I've been using Metal for the AC.

Depends on the song.

Bards have two forms of haste songs (v2/v3). V2 is normal spell haste (can't exceed cap). V3 is overhaste (I recall it's currently 30%).

An example of Bard Overhaste song (v3) would be Eriki's Psalm of Power (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=5382&source=Live)

As for Rapier of Somber Notes (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=69114), it's v2 Spell Haste 60%. So, with a 40% or higher worn haste item, you'll be capped (100%) with symphony buff.

If you had an Overhaste clicky item such as: Girdle of Solusek Ro (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=80688) which has Ancestrial Memories I (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=9621) (12%). Then an example of your setup maybe: 40% Item Haste + 60% Symphony of Battle + 12% = 112% Total.

* EDIT: Exported my Divine Intercession (http://www.eqfreelance.net/audio/divine_intercession.gtt) GTT for ya, since your {} keys don't work you said. Just right click/save as, the link there. Adjust the color and/or add sound if you find that more effective. I have it text only atm.

I consider that to be a mild trade off really (the AC hit, the HP is meaningless). My AC calcs were rough on paper and could have been in err.

Either way, +20 hstr gain +12 dex is nice overall.

As you know already, but posting in case other DPS read this:

Heroic STR

Every 10 hSTR adds +1 to all attacks.
Indirectly, it'll boost your Attack as well.

Heroic DEX

Every 10 hDEX adds +1 to most (not all) attacks.
Indirectly, boosts crit rates. This maybe more in line with 25 pts hDEX per 1% crits.

My understanding is 2Hers for Monk DPS can't outperform 1h's. But really, ask on Monkley Business imo and/or parse your own results.

Pallorax Frozen Flame (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?page=1&type=Augmentation&augslot=7%2c8&text=Pallorax%27s+Frozen+Flame): It may not have HP/End, but it has the key heroics you're after and AC to boot. In the process of farming Curator's Treasure, you may happen on this.

Silver Dragon Scale (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?page=1&text=Silver+Dragon+Scale): OMM Vendor. Monster Missions, via PoK. Just google for details if not familiar.
Red Dragon Scale (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?page=1&text=Red+Dragon+Scale): OMM Vendor.

OMM Note: With the OMM Vendor options, if you have brews to burn they're quick shuffles/swaps for instant gains. From what I know, you don't box, and it'll be harder to form groups for these missions. So in your situation, I would only consider these augs as a last resort if you can't flesh out the Gem of Unwavering Tenacity from Feerrott.

* TYPE 3 AUG Note: Missing Dodge 8% aug Icy Prism of Avoidance (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=42150). This is important.

* TYPE 13/14 Purity: As you upgrade your visible set going forward, switch to Purity 25 AUGs only. They're dirt cheap from a variety of vendors now across several expansions.

A couple things I have to mention because I feel they are important and were brought up in this thread.

Symphony of Battle - Symphony of Battle, the clicky from Rapier of Somber Notes, has never been considered great because of it's 60% haste. It's percussion modifiable attack buff is why people love it so much. The haste is just a nice bonus.

Heroic Strength - Heroic Strength's effect on dps is minor. 10 points is 1 extra damage per melee hit. A speedfocusing monk with 2 18 delay weapons (as in, the burn situation with the most hits being applied on a single target in the game) will only see about 8-9 dps per 10 points.

Heroic Dexterity - My parses show WAY less than 1% crit rate for 25 h-dex. My parses show closer to about 185-200 h-dex for 1% crit rate for a 90 max aa monk. I have reason to believe, but cannot currently prove, this is based on your current crit rate.
** The following numbers are theoretical, not actual **
Hypothesis - If a monk's crit rate is 9% and a rogue's is 10.5% the rogue would gain more from the same 175 h-dex.

This is what I currently believe, but have had so little time at my actual computer I've had no chance to test it (I also lack another max aa melee character with tons of gear I can switch in and out to modify heroics, but I can work with what I've got)

This is not to say you should or should not focus your gear/aug's on these specific heroics as they all have multiple benefits. I just want people to realize the effects are not going to be dramatic.

AUG Review: Zuhymn

Bard critique. Although you're ADPS/DPS, I went balanced with defense oriented augs, with a mix of STR/DEX and AC.

If you're okay on OMM Brew, the Silver Dragon Scale will be a quick upgarde. There's some other OMM augs I didn't mention as you probably know (red/black dragon scales).

If you have UF vendor unlocked, then picking up those augs with Brellium Tokens are other quick upgrades for no time spent camping the rares.

AUG Review: Zzhymn

I approach Cleric itemization with a strong emphasis towards defense, but with some balance in mind as well (priority hAGI/STR/AC, with HP/M/Mods being 3rd/4th factors). More often then not; as a result of being in the thick of things getting hit, we die more with MANA then running out. We have the benefit of being a plate class, on the same mitigation table as Bards.

A couple SOSO exceptions can work as noted below due to their mods. You're limited on replacing these due to seasonal AUG gaps currently. So no worries here, it's not a make or break at this point. When the seasonal events roll around again, I'd suggest picking them up if able.

AUG Review

Several of your AUGs are missing the key tanking heroics: STR, AGI, DEX. The critique below is focused on AUGs with these heroics in mind, in addition to AC. Trading off AC for heroic gains is acceptable. Play the long game with regards to heroics, and it'll pay off in your mitigation.

GEAR Review

You'll want to cover the basic focii, and replace pieces with interim vendor Dream Mote gear in Feerrott. Upgrade those with group named specific drops abroad eventually, and sell back your Elusive for Dream Motes (remove aug before selling).

So, with that in mind, here's some direction:

RING-L: Both your rings have the same Focii (beneficial Range). You only need one range focus. Use the other ring slot for your Beneficial Mana Pres focii. Quick upgrade would be: Replace Warden's Band, with Ring of the Elusive Eidolon (http://raidloot.com/Compare.aspx?id=121388) from vendor in The Feerrott using Dream Motes as currency.

MASK: Replace with vendor Mask of the Elusive Eidolon (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?page=1&class=Cleric&text=Mask+of+the+Elusive+Eidolon).

AUG Review

I approach Cleric itemization with a strong emphasis towards defense, but with some balance in mind as well (priority hAGI/STR/AC, with HP/M/Mods being 3rd/4th factors). More often then not; as a result of being in the thick of things getting hit, we die more with MANA then running out. We have the benefit of being a plate class, on the same mitigation table as Bards.

Since you're missing the seasonal event AUGS, I used other types that have AC, with balance HP/M and mods w/hWIS/STA that work fine. When the seasonal events roll around again, I'd suggest picking them up if able.

Note: I realise my hWIS/STA comment contradicts the previous hAGI/etc statement. The thing is, you can go to town hAGI/AC etc, and I can give you those options, but it's more involved with extensive camping. The way I wrote this up is to try and give you the biggest bang with a reasonable timeframe. Augs that are relatively easy to obtain as well.

Additionally, being you box, you'll have no issues with any of the options given below.

GEAR Review

You appear to have well rounded T4 HoT Group gear in the majority of your slots.

I recommend replacing your 2H Primary in favour of 1H/type and Shield. You'll benefit more from the combo in terms of DPS/Mana savings. In addition, the shield AC will contribute to your softcap, which translates into increased mitigation when you do get hit. As always, put your highest AUG in your shield. Opt for raid shields over group, as they have superior AC, and stats depending on the tier of content (ref. list provided below).

Currently, you're using Sap of Rejuvenation. This is a defense oriented proc aug imo, because it's healing you. You may wish to consider DPS/Mana Return AUG, as you are a DPS class. Suggestions:

Acorn of Spite (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?page=1&text=acorn+of+spite) - DPS
Bark of the Wilting Grove (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?page=1&text=bark+of+the+wilting+grove) - Mana Returns, which translates indirectly to DPS as you can nuke more.

RAID Type 4/8 RANGE Slot option: Bragnar's Sympathetic Stone (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?page=1&text=bragnar%27s+Sympathetic+Stone
)

Sympathetic Proc augs can fire from RANGE also. However, the aug selection of this type that fits into Range is limited. The best I could come up with is Bragnar's, via UF vendor, with Silver Tokens as currency. Either way, this is another DPS option, longer term when you pickup a raid range. All the little DPS edges add up.

OK after looking at your gear, aa and augs here is what I suggest.

AUGS
First move your highest AC aug to your feet slot. AC affects kick damage therefore boosting DPS. I am a DPS oriented guy so all suggestions will stem from such.    Below I have compiled a list of augs listed with the highest to lowest ( I stopped at +5 for most) heroics that you should get and replace any aug that does not fall into that category.    Now while I do not have all Hstr augs I try to balance some between Heroic Dex and Heroic AGI. Dex will help you proc more and AGI helps you in the defense. I prefer a mix of the highest of all three categories but you should decide what suits you best.

Feral SWIPE          Finish this off as it gives us a free really good attack

Weapon Affinity       Procs off our weapons does soo much dps and our Gelid Rendering AA will proc more often

Veteran Wrath          Weapon CRITS BETTER
Fury of Magic             SPELL CRITS BETTER
Destructive FURY       SPELL CRITS BETTER
Burst of Power          Triple attack I would put this lower than the ones above

Spell casting subtlety for the agro you will be getting from dds

After these I would then work on the pet aa Flurry first then pet crits.
I have noticed you focused on getting more defensive aa’s first and that is fine if that is the play style you want but the aa above would definitely help you move up on the parse and therefore be more productive raider.

Spells
For dps I usually only use those dd’s that I can chain cast. I have dots loaded but rarely use them. I use swarm pet only in the initial agro and tend to not use it again. DDs are faster casts and therefore better dps gains on a raid since I can swing more and hit more. I throw in DOTS when all my dds are down.

Charm AUG: Have you updated it lately? If I recall, the /played stats portion doesn't auto-update as your character ages. You have to pop it out, destroy it and get a new one from the NPC outside of lobby entrance.

Use raidloot.com (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx) to help narrow down any/all gear choices. Review drop tables of targets we raid and note pieces of interest to keep an eye open for. Having an excel spreadsheet is handy, and quick to jot down quick gear paths for short term goals.

Magelo has alternate profiles, but I find it kinda mickey mouse to work with. But it's all personal preference really.

If you havn't already, read/refer to The Classroom (http://forums.eqfreelance.net/YaBB.pl?num=1311137602) post. Frequent both forums related to your class, and possibly in-game serverwide mage channel.

The review below includes both SHORT and LONG term upgrade paths. Obviously seasonal stuff is beyond reach until it's back in game. The LDON paths are min/maxes, but good sideprojects after polishing off your AUG/AA and DoN/MPG deficiencies.

My advice is don't be overwhelmed by all there is to do. Work on little things each game session. If you're LFG, task out read your class forums, research different paths further and work on soloable things in the meantime. At the same time, LFG also requires effort, so if you're not already setup with some regulars, expand out and get active in zones, ooc/shout LFG in zones related to your goals. Tap into FLRaids channel also, different players are active at various times of the evening/day etc.

Resynced magelo, but in the process of moving augs again. Got some really bad advice from FL tanks who bought t2 VoA mask because they "have plenty of agro". After buying it and loosing agro several times talked to several more tanks who said "they would never ever" not use an agro focused mask. So i will be baggin my t2 voa mask and going back to old agro mask. Guess I should have been clear that I didnt mean can you stun lock trash mobs while wearing a non agro mask, meant can you maintain agro tanking during a dps burn. ah well, live and learn

Agro is different for hybrid tanks, because their agro is almost entirely spell based not swing based like warriors. So I think Warriors benefit more from the agro mod on mask for example. Check with TSW to confirm though imo.

AUG Adjusts:

Put your Beveled Mithril Gear Set aug in your shield slot. Highest AC always in shield.

Move your Glowing Lena Fete Rune to your right ring. Move Lifeweaver's Symbol to your boots (highest AC in boots, contributes to kick dmg). May seem minor, but why not? ..

You're missing an AUG in your Left Ring. Anything in there is better than nothing.

The following AUGs lack key tank heroics:

* TYPE 13/14 Purity: As you upgrade your visible set going forward, ALWAYS slot in Purity 25 AUGs. This way you benefit from the gains in the interim. They're dirt cheap from a variety of vendors now across several expansions.

* Type 3 AUG: Missing Dodge 8% aug Icy Prism of Avoidance (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=42150). This is important.

* Type 15 Chest Emblem: Your current emblem lacks key tank heroics. Replace with the following:

Note: Perhaps a few of our other warriors can double check your AA, in case I missed something really useful. You have many good lines already polished off which is nice.

Final Note:

Regarding VoA named, boxing I can see being an issue against some of them for sure. Perhaps seek out others that can compliment your setup and/or share similar interest in the named you're after? Utilizing FLRaids to see who's around at the time imo. Not always possible of course, depending on playtime, but just putting it out there.

Oh, also, talk to other boxers, they may have isolated some T3/T4 names that are easier to box and drop pieces you're after.

If you havn't already, don't forget that raidloot.com (http://www.raidloot.com) you can sort/filter augs by heroic stat, and isolate a short list more quickly. It'll even list where it drops.

my primary question with him is augments.. in the past i was focusing on AC.. which was a mistake..

I don't know what the conversion is for Hstr to damage, but i heard Hdex has diminishing returns on +crit chance...

So what should he focus on primarily for augs... + hp and + Hstr.. with Hdex secondary?

I'm working his AA's with more survive-ability as focus (resists, +hp, then remainder of CA/CS), i might get hasten cry of battle done first though...

I built him for max DPS... Light tank... AE's where eating him.

Word of Renewal 2.7s becomes 2.3s
and so on...

#6488 - Flurry of Life: Increase Healing by 30%

#8500 - Healing Frenzy:
Duration: 12s (2 ticks), Extend: Yes
1: Increase Spell Mana Cost by 50% to 80%
2: Increase Chance to Critical Heal by 100%

Burn a bit more mana, but the 100% crit rate more than makes up for it.

#1417 - Second Spire of Divinity: Increase Healing Bonus by 2000

Notes:

For raids, aside from "oh snap" moments, every raid I'm using a heal burn at one or more points in the event where it's dicey. At times, depending on the length of the event and when the burn is used, you can get it in more than once, since they're 10-15 min refresh discs. You don't have the AA yet, but I'll often combine the planned burns with Silent Casting just prior to avoid unneeded attention. In addition, during the burn I'll use Forceful Rejuvenation (refresh all my spell timers) for maximum effectiveness.

Twinheal

My heal technique is as follows:

Almost every heal I cast is centered around fast casts 0.5-1.5s Heals, Heal to Nukes, with a twincast/twinheal weave.

Twincast: The Glorious series is our Twinheal line consists of a nuke with a chance to twinheal buff with counters. You nuke a mob, a Twinheal buff icon will appear in your short-term buff window, and the next TWO heal type spells you cast will CRIT HEAL (double heal).

The concept is simple. Use a Glorious line to twinheal proc; follow up with an Intervention, GC and/or whatever as the situation demands. Rinse, repeat.

The entire technique is designed to increase burst heals.

Notes:
Any direct cast heal will work with the twinheal. This includes our target Splash, Group Direct Heal, etc.
The Intervention spell lines are not linked together. So casting one doesn't lockout the other(s).

Gear wise, if I were you I'd do the following:

Augs

Pickup the LDON type 3 dodge aug Icy Prism of Avoidance (8%) (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=42150). This is important.

I'd go through each aug and replace heroic stamina with heroic dex, or agi (w/ac included on them). The consensus seems to be leaning towards hdex now for tanks though possibly.

CoTF note, there's currently a nice 44 AC HDex aug so far that would be good for tanks. raidloot.com doesn't have all the CoTF augs listed yet, so I'd check eqresource.com as well until then. But raidloot.com is still handy to sort by HDex for example and see if there's any good augs you've overlooked to date.

Gear

Visible: Covered with RoF cultural currently.

Non-visible:

There's always upgrades, but you mentioned looking for something to spend your shadowstones on currently, and what stands out to me is your group charm slot. I'd replace that with Quintessence of Shadow (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?class=ShadowKnight&text=Quintessence+of+Shadow) T3 charm, it's stats are based on Mission/Quest completion in RoF/HoF (which you mentioned you enjoy doing). Maxing out the quests/tasks gives this charm some big stats (153 AC, 3620 HP + 15 to all heroics that matter etc). It's the charm I currently use and it costs 60 Shadowstones from the T3 vendor. This is the charm I currently use, so you can check my magelo profile in sig to see the stats more clearly.

If you're in doubt on the charm, /testcopy and buy it there first and then equip to see how it works out. But if you're maxed out on RoF/HoF missions/quests, it should reflect the above stats (not what the raidloot.com link shows).

EDIT: Key of Memory (http://raidloot.com/Search.aspx?class=ShadowKnight&slot=Charm&text=key+of+memory&order=Heroic_Dex) is also a RoF progression charm. I'd definitely /testcopy and buy both to test if you have the T4 currency for Key just to check which ends up being higher Hdex (14 on the key according to raidloot.com, but this could be wrong, as Quint is 15 clearly and raidloot.com lists as 13).

No reason to comment on AA, as you seem to have them all covered pretty much.

I sent a tell for the most important one to get next is hunter return kicks. You just need level 1. This maybe the most import AA in game.

Get all the dps aa's first. Don't worry about the innate crap or the hastened stuff till your max on the others. Sinnister strikes, spice, guardian lines I would focus on first.
