We all have things that touch our lives each and everyday. One of the most horrifying thing is to have someone taken away from us. A loved One .. a parent , a spouse , a child , a friend. to not have that person there to hold or to talk to.
around 1,400 people die to cancer each day. this staggering number shows that no matter who you are , one form of this disease has most likely touched your life.
The ONline community wasn't left spared from this truth , Norrath wasn't spared.
As much as we all log on to escape real life , or even to reconnect with parts of life that might be more easily found in a game. We have stilled made friends and connections that mean so much to us in life, But the monsters worse then raid mobs found us so easily.
On APRIL 2nd 2008 the Fennin Ro server was affected by this monster. As a prominant member of the server the PINK Warrior known as FUlanita had been seen just about everyday for years. Well known for not only the PINK armor and the battle cry of the BEHOLD THE POWER OF PINK> Fula was also known for his want and ability to help others in game. He forged long lasting friendships throughout his EQ carreer. His passing left a hole on Fennin RO .. hundreds of people on the server chose to go pink to show thier rememberance of FULA and also to show that they to had been affected by Cancer.
SINCE THEN WE CHOOSE TO show that same support for everyone that Cancer has touched , For those that fought the battle , FOR those still fighting.
SO ON APRIL SECOND .. GO PINK , we want as many people to be showing PINK on the server as we can .. take screen shots and show the love and support the online community has for each and every person who has been touched by Cancer.
FOR our LOVERS , CHILDREN , PARENTS, FRIENDS ,
cop will be handing out pink dye in the lobby for as much time as possiable tomorrow .. and also during events. you can dye one part or all your armor. get a screen shot list who you are remembering send them to quinaveere@yahoo.com if you can .. we want to show the world THE POWER OF PINK
since we started fula day in 2008 if we added up all the pink folks it far excceeds a thousand .. we hope to keep growing that .. people have written me and posted on facebook sharing thier stories of how thier lives were affected by cancer THIS day ISN"T JUST FOR FULA .. it is for everyone touched by this monster .. this is our raid against it .. when folks go pink we donate money .. to the american cancer society send me your pick each one counts post it on our facebook page .. circle of prophets .. also last year i started a thread with piestro about an in game market place item where part of the proceeds go to the american cancer society .. we have seguested a mount or an ornamentation .. a griffon or a sheild would be awesome .. if you like the idea drop him a line so that he can pass the devs on that it has support
