Shadow Knight / Re: DPS considerations.
« on: October 19, 2016, 06:43:50 PM »
changes:
keyboard key "1" tied to hotbar 10 slots 4-12.  In order on the bar: Lacerating blade, Multi hotkey: (/alt activate 15073 Banestrike, /disc repel, /alt activate 825 Vicious Bite of Chaos, /alt activate 3822 Chattering Bones, /alt activate 1278 Soul Flay), Spell, Spell, Spell, Spell, Spell, Spell, Spell
This is the key i spam most.  Spell line for that is standard:
Spear of Vizat
Dichotomic Fang
Dire Declaration
Touch of Lutzen
Touch of Falsin
Touch of Urash
Touch of Dyalgem

spells get traded out per event - sometimes urash and dyalgem are replaced with bond and deceitful deflection.
Lacerating is 48s cooldown with aa and type 3, chattering bones and soul flay are in there to keep them in use. vicious bite of chaos should always be on cooldown - its free mana for you and the group.

Due to the order that the game takes, clickies aren't recommended in that line as the game will stop casting the chain for some reason. so that is what keyboard key "2" is for.  this is mapped to hotbar 10 slots 1-3.
multi key: (Vicious Rabbit, Necromatic Dragon Bone, Amulet of the Drowned Mariner, Mark of the Dragon Slayer/Breastplate of Wailing Hatred), Overflowing Urn of Life, Repel.  i need to get a couple other clickies to go in there when i have time.... more deeps!

All of 2 is longer cooldowns (3-5m) except repel, but that is only there to keep it used.

both keys are still bound to the main hotbar and both 1 and 2 have bash in to keep that on cooldown as well.

the burn keys above have remained constant with no changes.

first spire should always be used with Thought leech and Leech Touch. - the crit mod and damage increase are too nice not to.  162500 base/708000 crit vs 162500 base/911625 crit.  i do love seeing thought leech twincast and crit all 4 hits - 3,646,500 damage in one hit.... yummy.

you're missing out Drogba - we just finished out the raid vanquisher lines.

also - trying to get away from tanking multiples on some raids - training tanks.  Can't always have bren and i tanking them all /duck.

Distasteful is great for doing the ae damage on multiples sure, and the aggro bonus on it is great. the ae sets bren listed are to keep you up on aggro on multiples in the event a tank dies the adds can go elsewhere easier.

deceitful has the bonus of healing for every mob hit where distasteful does not.

yeah, if you are already top dog on a mob - you should receive a line like this when you hit taunt:
[Sun Sep 25 20:21:03 2016] You already have your target's attention.

you wont be resetting your aggro by hitting taunt, and you are just wasting a cooldown. - no need to use your taunt button unless you are losing the mob.

Since there was seemingly some confusion with the attempt at Strong to the Core - i'm going to clarify some.

100%-70% - the fight doesn't change. you dps him down to 70, and the charms stop.  you assist on adds.

70%-43% - the fight doesn't change much - you simply DO NOT CURE the disease debuff.  Stop DPS at 43%, let the next wave of adds spawn and get under control.
when we have the debuff "decay IV" for the full 66s timer, burn will be called - you will dps your ass off to get him dead asap.

43%-0% - this is all burn when called.

Decay 1 - your hp will be capped at 90%, you cannot heal to full
Decay 2 - your hp will be capped at 80%, you cannot heal to full
Decay 3 - your hp will be capped at 70%, you cannot heal to full
Decay 4 - your hp will be capped at 60%, you cannot heal to full

if you or anyone in your group is not at one of those waypoints when the entire rest of the raid is - you or they need to get out of the zone.

At no time during the 70%-0% should you cast a spell of any sort that will cure disease on you or another person.

Raider Essentials / Re: Targeting, ETW, and YOU!
« on: August 13, 2016, 06:20:15 PM »
Let's keep pounding this in until people get it or we hit on an example that makes sense to them.

Pulled from last nights raids a couple of examples.  Plane of War and Stem the Tide.

[Fri Aug 12 19:44:24 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ TZ MT: Minasu, Khur - RT  Mystery ]- Dimerall (), Baghdaddy (), Raccoo (slow/m), Netn (), and east side healers, Minasu (), Khur (), Mystery ()'
[Fri Aug 12 19:44:24 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ VZ MT: Zarake, Blaqheart (RT - none) ]- Healers: Zenyan (), Kissabooboo (), Toransa (slow/m), Furrol (), and west side healers, Zarake (), Blaqheart()'
[Fri Aug 12 19:44:25 2016] Furro tells the raid,  'VZ Swarm (clones) add kiters are: Gimamam, Owmy, Evilash --- ALL OTHER ADDS: Brenlaven, Endotron, Doramurx, Luthernhamner, Feroxide'

TZ MTO is Minasu and Khur.  Minasu should have Khur on his ETW whatever slot he chooses. Khur should have Minasu on his ETW whatever slot he chooses, they are not concerned with anything other than each other and TZ. the other 11 slots on the ETW are irrelevant if they are doing their raid funtion correctly.

VZ MTO is Zarake and Blaqheart. Zarake should have Blaqheart on his ETW whatever slot he chooses. Blaqheart should have Zarake on his ETW whatever slot he chooses, they are not concerned with anything other than each other and VZ. the other 11 slots on the ETW are irrelevant if they are doing their raid funtion correctly.

Healers Dimerall, Baghdaddy, Raccoo, Netn - need to have Minasu and Khur on their ETW at the minimum as they are directly assigned and may not be in group.
Healers Zenyan, Kissabooboo, Toransa, Furro - need to have Zarake and Blaqheart on their ETW at the minimum as they are directly assigned and may not be in group.

Gimamam, Owmy, Evilash are concerned with the VZ clones. The other adds are irrelevant and they should add each other to their ETW to know when coverage of a death is needed.

Brenlaven, Endotron, Doramurx, Luthernhamner, and Feroxide are concerned with the waves of 5 adds that spawn. They are to pick up the add # that they are assigned to based on order listed: Brenlaven = add 1, Endotron = add 2, Doramurx = add 3, Luthernhamner = add 4, Feroxide = add 5.  VZ clones ARE NOT ADDS. The bosses ARE NOT ADDS. Neither should be counted when looking for your specific mob you need to pick up.

Below are a couple example pictures to outline what is expected with this setup with regards to tanks:

Picture 1 - How the ETW looked.
Picture 2 - Who should be concerned with which mobs.

To further illustrate, there was a wave of adds with clones up at the same time.  See below as to how assignments should look:

Picture 1 - How the ETW looked.
Picture 2 - Who should be concerned with which mobs.

The first thing you should notice is that the 5 people assigned to adds should have no concern about the clones. They are not assigned to them - they can safely ignore them and focus on their mobs.
The clone tanks should focus on the clones and pick them up.
MTO should focus on their specific mob and work on staying alive.

This should illustrate the separation of assigns and the focus you need to have on your specific assignment.

Moving on to Stem the Tide:

[Fri Aug 12 18:10:18 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Boss MTO: Zarake, Blaqheart, Overeasy ]- Zarake (), Blaqheart (), Overeasy (), Zenyan (), Kianara (), Dochter (), Dimerall ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:27 2016] Furro tells the raid,  'Adds at Boss HP%; (num. of adds): 88%; (1), 76%; (3), 64%; (5), 52%; (5), 40%; (7), 28%; (7), 16%; (11), and 4%; (11) --- Utilize defensive discs for sets: 40%;, 28%;, 16%;, 4%;.'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:28 2016] Furro tells the raid,  'When adds spawn, adjust outside melee range and snap up your add (be aware they start off inactive and your aggro is wiped once they go active).  Call out if more than one add on you. '
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:33 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Brenlaven 1 ]- Brenlaven (), Aphie (), Evonnee (), Dochter ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:33 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Leazer 2 ]- Leazer (), Aphie (), Evonnee (), Dochter ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:33 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Khur 3 ]- Khur (), Aphie (), Evonnee (), Dochter ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:33 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Minasu 4 ]- Minasu (), Aphie (), Evonnee (), Dochter ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:34 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Gimamam 5 ]- Gimamam (), Furro (), Twoma (), Netn ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:47 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Endotron 6 ]- Endotron (), Furro (), Twoma (), Netn ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:47 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Darkarma 7 ]- Darkarma (), Furro (), Twoma (), Netn ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:47 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Owmy 8 ]- Owmy (), Furro (), Twoma (), Netn ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:48 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Feroxide 9 ]- Feroxide (), Toransa (), Raccoo (), Baghdaddy ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:48 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Doramurx10 ]- Doramurx (), Toransa (), Raccoo (), Baghaddy ()'
[Fri Aug 12 18:10:55 2016] Furro tells the raid,  '-[ Othen 11 ]- Othen (), Toransa (), Raccoo (), Baghdaddy ()'

These assigns seem bulky and complex.... but really they are quite simple.

Zarake, Blaqheart, Overeasy are assigned to Akkapan Adan.

MTO tanks should have each other on their ETW - Zarake, Blaqheart, Overeasy.
Healers Zenyan, Kianara, Dochter, Dimerall need to have Zarake, Blaqheart, Overeasy on their ETW.

Brenlaven is assigned Add 1.
Leazer is assigned Add 2.
Khur is assigned Add 3.
Minasu is assigned Add 4.
Gimamam is assigned Add 5.
Endotron is assigned Add 6.
Darkarma is assigned Add 7.
Owmy is assigned Add 8.
Feroxide is assigned Add 9.
Doramurx is assigned Add 10.
Othen is assigned Add 11.

Healers Aphie, Evonnee, Dochter need to have Brenlaven, Leazer, Khur, Minasu on their ETW.
Healers Furro Twoma, Netn need to have Gimamam, Endotron, Darkarma, Owmy on their ETW.
Healers Toransa, Raccoo, Baghdaddy need to have Feroxide, Doramurx, Othen on their ETW.

The adds do not have a finite name, they will spawn randomly from 6 differently named types of mobs - so regardless of the add name, if it is in your slot - you pick it up.

This is with no ETW slots assigned to anything but AUTO, and who is on what mob:

Akkapan only exists to the MTO.  Add tanks - you need not count him when counting from the top looking for your add #. You are not counting the ETW slot, you are only concernd with the adds.

More examples of this showing Akkapan in different slots as well as other ETW targets added all the add slots are still on full auto:

http://www.raidloot.com/Spells.aspx?name=46375 - Protective Aura

Emote when you enter aura: You are protected.
Short term buff goes in your song window - looks like a little shield.

If you wanted to make yourself a trigger that you are actually in the aura, so you don't fail - use the above emote to know when you have entered the aura.

From watching her HoTT when she is rooted, she seems to keep the target of the tank taunting her. I know Zarake and OE have been at range on her and she still keeps them as target.

I'm pretty sure it does not follow standard 'root' rules for aggro, she will still taunt.  Similar to VZ/TZ in PoWar raid summon tanking - except she doesn't summon.

Will watch this week. and if we need a sacrificial lamb - I'll go sit on the floor under her.

yes sir - she is still live, just not able to move. dots, dds, taunts, melee will land on her - pets will still attack, but as long as the mto holds aggro, she won't go apeshit on a dps when she is loose.

however, we are all following the MA as we are supposed to correct?....

High Bokon Boromas Achievement Goal post

None Shall Stand - This is completed by having 0 add mobs up when he dies. This is difficult because the Bone Constructs spawn every 20s. Very important when working this achievement that you follow the MA and do not over-DoT HBB at the end of the fight.

A Quick Death is a Good Death - This is completed by killing him in under 10 minutes. This one is pretty routine at this point.

Strong to the Core - This is completed by getting the stacking debuff that happens in Stage 2 (70%-40%) of the fight to Rank 4. The debuff gets cast every minute. So we will have to be in stage 2 for about 4 minutes to get fully stacked debuff to rank 4. The debuff at rank 4 would limit your max hitpoints to be only 60% of normal. The debuff will only last for 66s, so we would have to kill him from roughly 41% to 0% in under a minute. All while dealing with the AE's and the adds spawning.  IF you for any reason were cured during this time, you will need to leave zone or you become the cause of the failure of this ach.  If you die during this time, you will need to leave zone or you become the cause of the failure of this ach. This includes hovering - if you die, you release.  The unfortunate side effect of this need - means you will not get a rez until event end or wipe.  Bring your A+ game, bring your healing pots, and stay alive through the debuff.  This will also result in our need to save heavy burns until the last 40% so we can throw the kitchen sink at him.

Achievement posting for Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls.

Destruction of Purity - This is completed by killing all of the A Shard of Health mobs that spawn in the first 30% of the fight and not letting any explode.  This should be a goal every single time as the crystal ae sucks balls and the heals from them can negate our burns pretty badly.

Dance Dance Retribution - This is completed by having 0 people hit by the Mortal Decay DoT. This DoT is nasty - see the above post for spell link.  This one is also necessary to be doing every single time.  The DoT damage is 127150 per tick, and even at the lowest 35% dot shielding you should have at this level, that is roughly 82647 a tick.  That is going to be 4,132,350 damage over the course of the 5 min dot. You are basically wasting healer mana at that point.  To complete this achievement - get into the aura when the emote goes off, stay there until after she casts MD and you are good.  From the time the emote goes off until she casts MD is a 10s window - that is plenty of time to locate the aura and get into it.

Golem is as Golem Does - This is completed by having the three minis at 45% combine into one mob. This Enraged Guardian of Sul mob hits like a truck (about the same amount as AS does). This sounds easy, but normally when the minis are up, AS is rooted and causing no melee damage to the tanks.  When the Enraged Guardian is created, she becomes unrooted and two very hard hitting mobs are active and the ae's are still going off causing damage.

Goal - for the most part, the Dance Dance Retribution ach is the only outstanding at this time - fix your particles so you can see the aura or at the very least follow the herd to the aura.  There is not really a reason to be taking that much damage when it can be avoided.

Upcoming Events & Strategy / Re: TBM - Crypt of Sul - T3 - Anashti Sul
« on: August 11, 2016, 01:46:36 AM »
Continuing the updated strat and achievement goal posts - here we are at Anashti Sul - Enslaver of Souls

This is long overdue for this event:

This fight is a fustercluck of activity! This is a multi mob, add wave, AE heavy deathfest!

This fight is split into multiple stages with new abilities along the way. Cliffnotes version:
First Stage: 100%-70%. Boss will summon waves of 8 adds. Boss will summon crystals to heal her and explode on us if we don't kill them.  Boss will put a defensive proc on herself that will cause large amounts of healing from melee attacks.
Second Stage: 70%-45%. Boss will turn into the damsel of decay version - no more corruption/disease spells. Boss will stop summoning adds. Boss will stop summoning healing crystals. Boss will start casting Mortal Decay. Boss will start casting Poison Blast.
Third Stage: 45%-0%. Boss will turn into Enslaver of Souls at 45%. Boss will summon three mini named with their own shit abilities. When mini's are dead or combined, starts casting Aura of Pain doom effect. Boss starts casting Rotting Flesh.

Event is timed, we should not exceed 25 minutes:
[Thu Aug 04 17:43:21 2016] Anashti Sul shouts, 'Can you feel it? You are already declining, dying, and within 24 minutes you will be MINE!'

Spells in play:

Minis:

http://www.raidloot.com/Spells.aspx?name=46383 - Punishing Blow
http://www.raidloot.com/Spells.aspx?name=46384 - Chilling Stare
http://www.raidloot.com/Spells.aspx?name=46385 - Horrifying Shriek

Expected Tanking Position:

Black star is the platform in the middle. She should be tanked here for Stage 1 and Stage 2.  Blue circles are the aura pools - North, East, West. Red Diamond is where she should be tanked after unrooted at 45%. If the enraged golem is spawned, both her and it need to be in the red diamond area.

All toons - after 45% should be stacked under the mob(s) that are up for splash curing of the Rotting Flesh DoT. The only time you need to not be in this pile is when you have Aura of Pain and are supposed to run away for the short duration of that debuff.

The fight:
Hail her to start the fight, no ramp tank needed. From 100%-70% full burn should be done to limit the amount of adds that are dealt with, limit the amount of healing crystals that spawn, and to limit the amount of times she can cast Mark of Sul. AE abilities should be used to hit her and the adds. All mobs should be tanked on the platform in the center.

At 70% she will switch to Damsel of Decay, and burns should continue. She will start casting Poison Blast and Mortal Decay. When emoted on Poison Blast - get near the pile of toons, the damage gets split. When Mortal Decay is emoted - you have 10s to find the Aura in one of the three pools and get into it. This is preventative to keep the Mortal Decay DoT from landing on you, it will not remove it if you already are afflicted. This is for ALL toons, all 54 should get in the pool. No one pee in the deep end.  Tanks - She will become rooted in the center and memblur - cast a hate over time on her before getting in the pool or pick her up asap when the all clear goes off.  Any adds that are still up when Mortal Decay starts should be dragged with you to the Aura.  She needs to be returned to the center platform to spawn the Aura that protects against Mortal Decay.

At 45% she will warp to center, become Enslaver of Souls, become rooted, and 3 minis will spawn. MTO - keep aggro on her, but there is no need to stand and get beaten as she is rooted and will not summon during this time. The three minis will be pulled to their respective pools (marked above) to be killed. When the minis are dead, AS,EoS will unroot and can be moved to the diamond location for final killing.  Everyone should be gathered nearby to get cured of the Rotting Flesh DoT. If emoted for Aura of Pain, you need to run either to the far north or the far south in the room to get away from other people, so when you explode, you will not kill everyone.

Log of fight:
Beginning of event text:
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:22 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life shouts 'Why have you been so cruel, coming to me with [malicious intent]? Have I not been the most benevolent benefactor? The lifegiver? Am I not more deserving of your affection than the Prime Healer himself?'
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:24 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life shouts 'You bring [pain and death]. I bring life everlasting. You misunderstand what gifts I have to offer your world.'
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:25 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life shouts 'If I must defend myself, I will, but I cannot comprehend this unwarranted aggression towards me.'

After 6s, the first wave of adds spawn:
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:31 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life calls upon her devoted followers to defend her!

And then every 1m 30s after while still above 70%:
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:02 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay calls upon her devoted followers to defend her!

You can see in the above that we hit 70%, turned her to Damsel of Decay right as the adds were due to spawn - this means we need to kill her faster next time.

Also while she is Lady of life, we have A Shard of Health crystals to deal with. These spawn 3 at a time at the pools in the North, East, and West.  They cast Healing Light repeatedly while alive.  After 30s, AS,LoL will cast Wave of Life. The power of this spell depends on how many crystals are still up. At 0 crystals, the AE from Wave of Life isn't too bad to splash heal through. At 3 crystals up, expect a mostly raid wide wipe:
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:58 2016] a Shard of Health begins to cast a spell. <Healing Light>
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:58 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life is lightly healed by pure energy.
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:58 2016] a Shard of Health begins to cast a spell. <Healing Light>
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:58 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life is lightly healed by pure energy.
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:58 2016] a Shard of Health begins to cast a spell. <Healing Light>
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:58 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life is lightly healed by pure energy.

[Thu Aug 04 17:43:26 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Wave of Life>
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:31 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay begins to cast a spell. <Wave of Life>

To illustrate the varying power of the Wave of Life spell:
[Thu Apr 21 19:12:49 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Wave of Life>
[Thu Apr 21 19:12:49 2016] A blast of energy throws you backwards!  You have taken 179822 points of damage.
[Thu Apr 21 19:12:49 2016] Anashti Sul is greatly restored by the shards of pure health!

[Fri Apr 15 18:53:30 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Wave of Life>
[Fri Apr 15 18:53:30 2016] A blast of energy throws you backwards!  You have taken 134787 points of damage.
[Fri Apr 15 18:53:30 2016] Anashti Sul is moderately restored by the shards of pure health!

[Thu Apr 21 19:11:44 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Wave of Life>
[Thu Apr 21 19:11:44 2016] A blast of energy throws you backwards!  You have taken 70258 points of damage.
[Thu Apr 21 19:11:44 2016] Anashti Sul is lightly restored by the shards of pure health!

The Shards of Health need to be killed ASAP to prevent the AE, and to prevent them from healing her - each cast of the Healing Light by them on her is a 4250000 heal.

While all that is going on, we also have to deal with her casting Mark of Sul on herself.  This ability puts a defensive proc on her that will react to melee hits.  Every proc will heal her for 2575500.  This spell procs A LOT.  It is important to use a beneficial dispel to remove it.  This spell is cast every 35s and needs to be removed.  With all the melee, tanks, pets, and swarm pets - this can negate the entire burn if not removed:

[Thu Aug 04 17:42:58 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Mark of Sul>
[Thu Aug 04 17:42:58 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life is healed by enemy attacks.
[Thu Aug 04 17:43:33 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Mark of Sul>
[Thu Aug 04 17:43:33 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life is healed by enemy attacks.

To throw one more ability into the mix before 70% - she will also cast Splash of Purification on herself approx. every 35s. This seems to strip some debuffs off her and also heals for a large amount:

[Thu Aug 04 17:42:57 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Splash of Purification>
[Thu Aug 04 17:43:31 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Splash of Purification>

At 70% she emotes, and turns from Lady of Life to Damsel of Decay:
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:01 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life shouts 'Enough of this charade... You are not deserving of my charity or my compassion. No... Death and decay is all you deserve. And you shall have it! Come lay your weak and worthless flesh at my feet!'

At 70%, she stops summoning adds and begins new abilities.  No more corruption or disease spells should be cast at this point.  She starts emoting poison blast every 15s.  You have approximately 10s to get into the pile of people to disperse the damage:
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:06 2016] Sunlace has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:21 2016] Cyprian has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:36 2016] Mulila has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:47 2016] You are hit by a Poison Blast for 13888 damage.
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:51 2016] Minisca has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:45:02 2016] You are hit by a Poison Blast for 9803 damage.
[Thu Aug 04 17:45:06 2016] Mudkip has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:45:21 2016] Cyprian has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:45:36 2016] Celebairn has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:45:52 2016] Aphie has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:06 2016] Gimamam has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:06 2016] You have been targeted for poison blast by Anashti Sul!
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:17 2016] You are hit by a Poison Blast for 15625 damage.
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:21 2016] Landaru has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:36 2016] Gimamam has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:36 2016] You have been targeted for poison blast by Anashti Sul!
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:48 2016] You are hit by a Poison Blast for 18518 damage.
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:51 2016] Pikell has been targeted for poison blast!
[Thu Aug 04 17:47:02 2016] You are hit by a Poison Blast for 14285 damage.

Also at 70%, she starts emoting for Mortal Decay. When this emote goes off, she will root in center, stop summoning briefly, and you will have 10s to get to the Protective Aura pool. She will emote this every 30s until 45%.  All toons including MTO need to get to the Aura.  This emote should be set to interrupt and set to make sure you know that you need to pay attention to it:
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:21 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay says 'Stand and watch in horror as I melt the flesh from your bones!'
[Thu Aug 04 17:44:51 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay says 'Stand and watch in horror as I melt the flesh from your bones!'
[Thu Aug 04 17:45:21 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay says 'Stand and watch in horror as I melt the flesh from your bones!'
[Thu Aug 04 17:45:52 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay says 'Stand and watch in horror as I melt the flesh from your bones!'
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:21 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay says 'Stand and watch in horror as I melt the flesh from your bones!'
[Thu Aug 04 17:46:51 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay says 'Stand and watch in horror as I melt the flesh from your bones!'
[Thu Aug 04 17:47:21 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay says 'Stand and watch in horror as I melt the flesh from your bones!'

You need to make your best effort to get into the correct pool on Mortal Decay emotes.  You need to have your particles adjusted to allow you to see the Aura, or you need to get into the pool with the pile of people in it. Neither should be hard to see at this point of your raiding career. 10s is an eternity to find that Aura and move to it. If you fail this emote, you are wasting healer attention off the tanks. This is a 5 minute high damage DoT and at that point, you are more of a drain to keep alive than to rez.

All toons should be shrunk for this event so that 54 people can fit into the kiddy pool. See this post if you are confused as to the requirements of shrink: http://forums.eqfreelance.net/index.php?topic=7416.0

At 45% she warps to middle, becomes rooted, turns from Damsel of Decay to Enslaver of Souls, and summons 3 minis.  These mini's do not hit terribly hard, but have special abilities they use:
[Thu Aug 04 17:47:46 2016] Anashti Sul, Damsel of Decay shouts 'Witness the true might of decay, disease, and death! EVERYthing dies, and I control what is dead. I will command EVERYTHING!'

The three minis are Brutal Aspect of Decay, Voracious Aspect of Disease, and Haunting Aspect of Death.  These minis should be tanked in their respective auras marked on the map above.  They also cast and have abilities below:

[Thu Aug 04 17:47:47 2016] Brutal Aspect of Decay begins to cast a spell. <Blessing of Decay>

[Thu May 05 19:26:24 2016] Blood flows from a massive slash in your side.
[Thu May 05 19:26:25 2016] You have taken 19111 damage from Ravaging Wounds by Voracious Aspect of Disease

[Thu Apr 21 19:41:00 2016] You are crushed by a massive fist!  You have taken 30929 points of damage.
[Thu Apr 21 19:42:21 2016] You resist the Punishing Blow spell!

[Sat Apr 16 18:46:04 2016] Haunting Aspect of Death begins to cast a spell. <Chilling Stare>

[Sat Apr 16 18:46:04 2016] You are frozen by a chilling stare.  You have taken 81427 points of damage.

[Thu Aug 04 17:48:22 2016] Voracious Aspect of Disease begins to cast a spell. <Horrifying Shriek>
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:22 2016] Your arms feel weak.

During this time from 45% to 0%, she will target 2 people every 25s and cast Aura of Pain on them. This 12s (server tick rounding could show up to 17s) debuff in your song window makes you the target of an AE called Explosion of Pain. This is high damage and you should leave the raid pile and move to the far north or the far south of the room away from other people. When the debuff is gone, you are safe to return.  The last attempt (8/4/16) only 34 people got the aura of pain emote - yet 294 people were hit with the AE. This means people were failing the move away emote pretty horrendously - PAY ATTENTION:
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:14 2016] Anashti Sul envelops Meepitt in an Aura of Pain!
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:14 2016] Anashti Sul envelops Tirranun in an Aura of Pain!
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:39 2016] An aura of pain envelops you.
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:39 2016] Anashti Sul envelops Othen in an Aura of Pain!
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:39 2016] Anashti Sul envelops Gimamam in an Aura of Pain!
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:39 2016] Anashti Sul envelops YOU in an Aura of Pain!

Timer up, AE being cast:
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:28 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Explosion of Pain>
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:30 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Explosion of Pain>
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:55 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Explosion of Pain>
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:55 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Explosion of Pain>

AE hitting people:
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:55 2016] Minasu explodes.
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:55 2016] Syco explodes.
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:55 2016] Pain explodes from your body.  You have taken 80305 points of damage.
[Thu Aug 04 17:50:31 2016] Denriel explodes.
[Thu Aug 04 17:50:31 2016] Xdezilx explodes.
[Thu Aug 04 17:50:31 2016] Nintap explodes.
[Thu Aug 04 17:51:46 2016] Overeasy explodes.
[Thu Aug 04 17:51:46 2016] Meepitt explodes.
[Thu Aug 04 17:51:46 2016] Denriel explodes.

Also from 45% to 0%, she will be casting Rotting Flesh every 45s.  This is the reason we need to be bunched up under her - so the paladins can splash this off:
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:21 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Rotting Flesh>
[Thu Aug 04 17:49:06 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Rotting Flesh>
[Thu Aug 04 17:49:51 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Rotting Flesh>
[Thu Aug 04 17:50:36 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Rotting Flesh>
[Thu Aug 04 17:51:21 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Rotting Flesh>
[Thu Aug 04 17:52:06 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Rotting Flesh>
[Thu Aug 04 17:52:51 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Rotting Flesh>
[Thu Aug 04 17:54:21 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Rotting Flesh>
[Thu Aug 04 17:55:06 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls begins to cast a spell. <Rotting Flesh>

[Thu Aug 04 17:48:35 2016] Blaqheart has taken 37261 damage from Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls by Rotting Flesh.
[Thu Aug 04 17:48:37 2016] You have taken 33761 damage from Rotting Flesh by Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls
[Thu Aug 04 17:50:37 2016] Pikell has taken 37261 damage from Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls by Rotting Flesh.
[Thu Aug 04 17:50:37 2016] Endotron has taken 37261 damage from Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls by Rotting Flesh.

After the minis are dead or combined...:
[Thu Aug 04 17:50:50 2016] Haunting Aspect of Death has been slain by Oruatyrim!
[Thu Aug 04 17:50:51 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls shouts 'Impossible! I don't know how you have survived, but now you will die! I will finish this myself!'

[Thu May 05 19:55:00 2016] If you successfully complete the raid, you will earn the achievement "Golem is as Golem Does."
[Thu May 05 19:55:05 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls shouts 'Impossible! I don't know how you have survived, but now you will die! I will finish this myself!'

... she will be unrooted and can be moved to the red diamond for final killing.
[Thu Aug 04 17:55:16 2016] Anashti Sul, Enslaver of Souls has been slain by Nintap!

At points in the previous fights, that look like post wipes, there was another spell cast as well, but very infrequently seen on my logs:
[Thu Apr 14 19:56:14 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Ocean's Cleansing>
[Fri Apr 15 18:11:44 2016] Anashti Sul, Lady of Life begins to cast a spell. <Ocean's Cleansing>

Also, repeatedly failing triggers will not go unnoticed.  There are options you can set to help GINA work faster in your favor.

In game: /loginterval 0 - The log file write interval is 0 second(s).  To change this, use /loginterval [seconds].  A value of 0 will write immediately to the file without any delay.
This will cause your logfile to update immediately. Default iirc is 1.

In GINA: important triggers that you absolutely cannot and should not miss that have an output in text to speech - check the Interrupt Speech checkbox on the specific trigger. Below is an example on the very important trigger for Enslaver raid to not miss Mortal Decay:

People failing triggers will be spoken to mid or post raid.  These failures are logged and easy to see.

There are websites were you can create your own audio files if needed so you can have your own voice screaming at you, the GINA on screen display fonts can be enlarged to make you take notice, etc.  The tools are there, use them.

Continuing the updated strat and achievement goal posts - here we are at Wither and Decay.

The strat has changed since initial inception. Where we used to tank them separated and run away with the oozes, this is no longer.  Now Wither and Decay are tanked on top of each other in one static location.

The reason for this change is two fold - it lets us have 8 under them at all times for The Crazy Eight Achievement, and it limits the movement of melee migrating from one mob to the other when the MA target changes.

While the mobs are stacked in one location with the melee, the ranged/casters are subsequently stacked on the rocks across the room. A side effect of this split of the melee pile and the range pile is that the oozes go after the ranged folks 100% of the time.  The travel time of the oozes and the hangup of the bridge in the middle of the room causes them to expand well away from people.  This prevents damage from the oozes, and pretty much guarantees us the All Retch and No Vomit Achievement.

Due to the above, once you have started the fight in one pile or the other - you stay there. Don't move from the melee pile to the range pile and DEFINITELY DO NOT move from the ranged pile to the melee pile.  If you start in the range pile and move to melee, you are likely to cause an ooze to target you and drop it on the melee.  Also, due to the oozes going after the ranged pile, you are safe to delete your 'run away' trigger for an ooze targeting you.  If you are in the melee pile, get under the mobs - not a few feet away, not halfway across the room, not on the ramp. Be under the mobs, or be with the ranged. This fight is under 15 minutes, you can manage to stay put for that long.

Achievements: Third Time's the Charm, All Retch and No Vomit, The Crazy Eight
Third Time's the Charm - kill the wrong mob (red one) twice in a row before finishing event. When we do this, the first two mobs to die will be the wrong ones. Follow MA.
All Retch and No Vomit - Don't let the ooze damage you. See below.
The Crazy Eight - Have 8 people on aggro for each mob and under them at all times. see below.

For the All Retch and No Vomit - Do NOT cross the center of the room for any reason. The oozes are going to be in the middle, and you will fail us this achievement. This one is a gimme - literally stay put in your pile and we get this one.

For The Crazy Eight - all melee that will be under the mobs during the fight should get on the platform with auto attack on while targeting one of the two mobs. This will get you on the aggro list immediately on engage.  The first check for this is within a couple seconds from engage.  Follow the mobs to the fight location staying within melee range at all times. Tanks - Do not move the mobs too quickly, we need to keep people under them. Range, please wait until mobs are at the fight location/MA call before going balls out.

Raider Essentials / Reminders for Raiding. Please read.
« on: August 10, 2016, 03:10:33 AM »
With the lucrative rewards that come from the Vanquisher Raid Achievements the last several expansions, FL Raid team has worked on them when time and effort present themselves. These achievements unlock purchases on vendors, present you with special titles, present you with gear, and present you with some of the more powerful augmentations not available anywhere else in the game.

These achievements take a coordinated effort that includes all 54 of the people on the raid.  So you following instructions, following position announcements, following emotes/GINA triggers, following MA, and watching the pertinent channels you belong to are required.  Below is some reminders of basic behaviors that you should, by level 105 and 3/4 of an expac in, already know and be constantly doing as second nature in a raid.

I am more than well aware of real life commitments, lag, being tired, playing while intoxicated, among other things.  I will not sit here high and mighty and pretend that I myself haven't been one of the items on that list. You are able to raid with FL Raid team for up to 9 hours a week. That is only 5.4% of your week. We ask only that you bring your A+ game and intention to play your role to the best ability to meet the goals of the team.

I understand as well, that we all raid for our own reasons - to see content, to get better gear, to win the hard mode, etc. However, for too long now, too many people have been coasting. We have seen people lax in following MA calls to boost their DPS numbers on the wrong mob, ignoring instructions because they 'know' better, yelling louder than the next guy to get people to follow them, failing to ask questions when uncertain, etc.  FL is led by Furro. Strats are learned from experiencing the event and adjusting. Sideline coaching will be a quick way to get yourself benched. This does not preclude you from offering ideas in channels and on the boards - but telling FL that XYZ guild does it this way...

Adjusting raids on the fly and post event is part of the FL raiding experience. Adjusts are usually posted within the next week to the FL Forums event strat post.  Forums should be visited more than 1 time an expansion.  You should be here checking up periodically on new and exciting ways of the FL raid experience.  To be able to see full posting (pictures, links, etc) you should be registered on the board and logged in - this takes 2s.

DPS parses are posted frequently by FLBOT, or by individuals from within the raid team.  While there is a measure of competition that is present and somewhat desired by some individuals of the raid team, the goal overall is to defeat the event in a timely and low death fashion.  If you have to lower your dps to move out of some bad shit so that the cleric doesn't have to heal you and let a tank die, this is something you do.

On the whole, you are expected to do the most DPS you can do.  The aforementioned DPS parses being posted is to increase awareness of your fellow class members who are pulling out more dps and give you the opportunity to learn from them.  On these boards, there are MANY posts on how to increase your DPS.  Read them and learn. If you are shy, speak to one of the leads who can help you speak to another of your class for tips.

One key point that doesn't seem to get across as often as it needs to for this to happen - Always Be Casting - ABC. If you have spells and your little blue bar isn't being used, you are not doing enough to increase DPS. If you have AAs or activated discs/abilities that aren't on cooldown during a fight, make use of them.  Find your class type websites that still exist, find the eq forums, and use them to learn what discs/abilities/adps stacks for your use.

There are options available in your settings to help decrease your lag, Even Furro plays on a machine so old it's almost legal to vote.  Several posts can be found to help you with this. One such is Scornfire's lag reduction guide: http://www.daguild.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8823

GINA is not optional.  This is a powerful tool to help you avoid bad emotes, help remind you to keep your abilities on cooldown with timers/announcements, and to assist in bettering your burns with notifications from ADPS abilities landing on you.  There are trigger packages available from the individual event posts.  At minimum, you need these triggers.  There is nothing stopping you from altering the triggers to fit your needs, or creating new triggers for your own personal use or to share.  You should know the events past and present via these boards at the very least and not failing emotes.

All classes should have the ability to shrink themselves. This is basic Raiding 101. This is not optional.

Here is a list with links to all/all shrink devices:

I suggest you invest some time to get one for use.

Any and all shaman that raid, should have the rank 2 of the Shrink AA.  You may be called upon to shrink people in some events that require 54 people to fit in a tight space.

Playing in third person can and does help when you are shrunk, learn to play in third person on the short term for raids if needed.

There are spells that alter your form that get cast mid fights.  The illusion portion of these spells needs to be put on the block list.  Your increased size is a detriment to the raid.  Events do call for people to squeeze into a tight space, and you being big can prevent people from fitting.

Here is a short list that is incomplete - add yours to this thread as they appear.

http://www.raidloot.com/Spells.aspx?name=21684 - Form of the Black Wolf - /blockspell add me 21684

We are getting to the point where winning the raid sloppily is not enough. If you want to see the Vanquisher achievements finished out, you need to step up and be better. Attempts that are failed will start resulting in a "die please" call so we can start over and do it right.

It is expected that you ask questions. If you are assigned to a role you are uncertain of, speak up. If you fail emotes, fail to pick up your assigned mob, fail to do any myriad of things that you were assigned to and the raid wipes - you have wasted 53 other peoples' time.
