Communication

Freelance primarily uses in-game chat channels for communication. 

For players who enjoy voice chat, Freelance Discord server is available.  Not everyone is comfortable with voice chat, and it is for this reason Discord is optional for Freelance raids.

Item Distribution Overview

Freelance distributes items based on DKP and Raid Attendance (RA%).

Each player's current DKP holdings up to 1000 is multiplied by their RA% resulting in Effective DKP.

During raids, players can only use their Effective DKP to purchase items.  Item purchases from that night and any previous raid nights for the month are subtracted in real-time from a player's Effective DKP only.

Players opt-in on items they are interested in.  Winners are determined by highest current Effective DKP.  Ties resolved via /random 1000, highest wins.

Each "Real Life" person is allowed to opt-in for an unlimited number of items.  The only restriction is that for equipment, the person must be able to equip/activate the item.

Following the above processes, any remaining items are placed in the FFA pool to be distributed only when announced in /raidsay.  FFA items are associated with their standard base cost by category, as indicated in the Item Base Costs (IBC) table below.  Anyone can loot FFA items.

Brief Event Overview

Vius Vex is prepared to cross the bridge leading into Shar Vahl with her army.

Zun Vyl Dyn golems are positioned at end of bridge; enhanced by their auras.

At event start, waves of centien adds attack, while periodically Zun Vyl Dyn golems advance forward.

Hovering above, Zakra Tetoracu drop Flickering Shadows to damage and slow defenders.

Wisps spawn periodically to stir trouble.

Various other adds join the battle throughout the event.

Player emote mechanics in play.



Strategy

Kill Zun Vyl Dyn golems.

Kill Centien waves.

Assigned players to eastern and western towers to root Zakra Tetoracu to bring them down from the sky and kill.

Darkening Heart -  Immediately get cured by a Spiritualist NPC; kw: help.  Penalty add if not cured, Inner Shadow.

MEZ centi adds - Mez tick damages these adds, do not break mez.

Do not allow wisps to transform.  Reminders in raid will be given for groups to engage wisps.  Wisps transform into mischevous shadows.

Assist MA for all other add spawns.

Brief Event Overview

At event start, waves of centi adds spawn and attack.  Shortly after, Dusk and Dawn activate.

Dusk HP raised by player mechanic.  Dusk can be damaged once HP 50%.

Dawn is susceptible to player damage until HP 50%.

When both Dusk and Dawn reach 50% HP, they each transform into Midnight bosses and massive constructs activate.

Looming Shadow aura advances across zone perodically driven by shadow bearer adds.

Waves of centi adds continue to spawn throughout event.

Player emote mechanics in play during event.



Strategy

Kill adds via MA.

When Setting Sun emoted, run away to cancel effect.

When Rising Sun emoted, run to Dawn.

Kill massive constructs.

Kill Shadow Bearers via MA2.  These adds spawn and advance the aura towards raid.  Killing them stops aura from advancing.


Tanks:
- MTO - Keep Dawn and Dusk separated
- MTO - Stack Midnights


Healers:
- Single target heals on Dusk when confused emote occurs (trigger alerts when)

If you can somehow destroy that thing then I would consider this a win and we can retreat. If we let that thing expand too much we might not be able to stop it. For now they seem to be waiting for more of their forces to arrive. It might be best if you attack them as soon as you are [ready]. If you need to [leave], I can assist you with that.'

Strategy

Demonstrated Depletion - Move with Main Tank to avoid Seething Energy.

Weakness Evinced - Stay out of Depletion auras (emotes indicate areas to stay away from).

Manifest Lethargy - Kill Lesser adds first via MA.  When Manifest Lethargy splits, kill Manifest Apathy then Manifest Drowsiness.


Tanks:
- MTO - Move boss out of Seething Energy and Depletion auras.


Healers & Casters:
- During Demonstrated Depletion boss, can position in cave and range heal/dps

Boss: Malthshisku

Numerous creatures and effects come into play during process of creation and destruction.

Various other adds spawn throughout the event, from seasoned performers, thespians and an enthusiastic understudy.

Boss.

Malthshisku inactive until all masses killed

Malthshisku despawns when multitude of creatures spawn.

Malthshisku respawns when all multitude of creatures killed: Well, now you've ruined it! I will have to start all over again! These useless actors will take ages to train!

When Malthshisku HP <= 10%, absorbs actors to heal.  Emote: Malthshisku drains the power from one of the actors and heals.

Enrage Timer: Malthshisku begins to become enraged at the extended delay to the rehearsal and calls for more extras.


All Was Darkness    Target AE 300k DoT + Mana Drain + Blind (24s duration, 50' range)
Player Warning Emote: The darkness of pre-creation gathers around Soandso.
Effect Message: Everything goes dark.

Brief Event Overview

Timed event.

Four Supervisors orchestrate trouble: Choreographer, Head of Wardrobe, Production Manager, and Stage Manager.

The Star activates once all four Supervisors are dead.

Crystals obtained by players can be utilized to their advantage for protection from effects.

Various adds come into play to stir things up.



Strategy

Assist MA.

Loot a Clear Crystal and infuse accordingly for use to provide protections at opportune times.

To infuse your crystal, move to a colored mushroom formation located throughout event area.  Once there, your Clear Crystal will infuse with the color.

Just prior to each colored shroom miniboss death, click crystal of matching color to provide protection buff (effect lasts 2 min 30s).

Reminders will be given in raidsay when to click colored crystal.

Crystal Infusions

Worker add corpses contain one or more Clear Crystal items.

Player loots a Clear Crystal and infuses accordingly for use to provide protections at opportune times.

To infuse an Clear Crystal, move to a colored shroom formation located throughout event area.  Once there, player Clear Crystal will infuse with the color.

Just prior to each colored shroom miniboss death, player activates their crystal of matching color to provide protection buff (effect lasts 2 min 30s).

The Star

Boss.  Active once all Supervisors killed.

The Star spawns workers that path towards center pillar to retrieve crystals to return to their Supervisors.

The Star devours crystals returned by workers to Supervisors.

The Star devours crystals left on worker corpses when last Supervisor dies.

Emotes:

The Star sends energy into the crystalline pillar, causing it to ring. Creatures stir in response.

The Star kicks at the Choreographer. When the poor creature leaps aside, crystals fall from its hands. The Star picks them up and devours them.
The Star rants and screams at the Head of Wardrobe. The Star then grabs all of the crystals the creature has gathered and devours them.
The Star gets right in the face of the Production Manager, then yanks away the poor creature's crystals.
The Star chews up the scenery and the Stage Manager along with it. The Star then chews up all of the Stage Manager's gathered crystals.

The Star devours 26 crystals, growing stronger and healthier.


Vibrations Mechanic:

The Star sends energy into the crystalline pillar, causing it to ring. Creatures stir in response.
Vibrations from the central crystal pillar disorients you.

A crystalkin gets too close to the vibrating crystal pillar. Bits of it shatter and are expelled from its body as it is flung away.


Enrage Timer (30m~): The Star grows thoroughly enraged and its power grows.

When Mutable Monstrosity transforms back to an ooze, it retains some powers from other forms.  Each cycle increases the powers gained.

The Mutable Monstrosity responds to its wounds by changing forms.

The Mutable Monstrosity loses its form, but retains some of the abilites of the old forms. (Bug: abilities is spelled incorrectly in the emote)

Brief Event Overview

Upon event start waves of cliknar and shiknar attack.  Once killed, Hashiss activates.

Expanding Spores spawn with a surrounding aura throughout the event.

Hashiss targets players with Curse of Hashiss, AE penalty recourse if not cured.

Hashiss DTs Main Tank periodically unless tank target changes in a timely fashion.

Hashiss inflicts severe damage against immature shiknar adds charmed by players.

Hashiss immune to damage while a shiknar aberration is alive.



Strategy

Kill cliknar and shiknar adds to activate Hashiss.

During Hashiss, kill shiknar.

Everyone DPS Expanding Spores; kill quickly before they explode. 

Spore Achievement: Do not allow any of the expanding spores to burst.

Charm immature shiknar adds to cause Hashiss to damage them.  Rinse/repeat until shiknar dies.

Get Curse cured immediately, otherwise you'll AE DD + Mana Drain everyone around you (big range AE).

Brief Event Overview

Stage 1:

At fixed locations throughout the zone are three Jakarashev Illusions and one real Jakarashev.

All four Jakarashevs must be engaged or event will reset.

Each Jakarashev is accompanied by three thug adds.

Hot spot damage auras appear on the ground during event.

Tiger adds spawn at set Jakarashev HP percentages of real Jakarashev, not the fakes.

Event advances to 2nd stage once Jakarashevs are killed only the real remains.


Stage 2:

Hot spot damage auras still in play.

Flickering Illusion adds spawn.

At fixed locations, Jakarashev spawns Illusion adds at HP: 35%, 20%, 10%.



Strategy

Stage 1:

Raid split four ways; two groups at each location and remaining float group helps with fake Jakarashevs.

Thug adds bane killed with slow (Bard AE slow and proc slow works).

Do not DPS real Jakarashev until fake Jakarashev are dead.  Real Jak spawns tiger adds at HP intervals; fake Jaks do not.

When Jaks swap places, STOP DPS until real Jak location is called.  Trigger will indicate when swap occurs.

Kill Tiger adds in your area.  Tigers are mezzable.

Move out of hot spots that appear on ground.


Stage 2: Illusion adds

Brief Event Overview

Staged event with a timer for each stage.

Upon event start, a group of adds spawn outside the gate portal to the west.

Stage 1: Gargoyles and Stonegrabbers

Four grinning gargoyle adds go active and inactive.

Four shadowstone grabber adds.

Stage 2 activates upon death of 3rd shadownstone grabber.


Stage 2: Torgarath Tekar, Pli Liako, Centien Detraias, Xin Thall Tavuel, and Adds

Torgarath Tekar targets players with various emotes.

Pli Liako add casts Light and Dark auras - Overlapping auras results in Complete Shadow (Cap HP and Mana at 75% + 35% Melee Slow).

Stage 3 activates upon death of 3rd named.


Stage 3: Kratakel, Lord Misery -- Light and Dark Servants, and Other Adds

Kratakel, Lord Misery targets players with various emotes.

Servant of light and darkness adds spawn.  Two darkness adds merge results in overwhelming darkness.

As servant adds are killed, Kratakel HP unlocks.

Various other adds spawn periodically: a great raven, bats, pools, and beetles.

Stage 1:

Four areas designated with sufficient distance between them to avoid AE overlaps.

Each area assigned a tank group.  Assigned tanks pull their shadowstone grabber add to their designated area.

Main raid positioned at the designated area near the gate.

Grinning Gargoyle adds tanked at main raid designated area near the gate.

When all gargoyles killed:

Kill two grabbers then the last two at the same time.

Raid kills shadowstone grabber at SW (gate), then North.

Raid then moves and kills South and East (upper) at the same time.

Casters and Rangers DPS East (upper) grabber from South campfire; adjust accordingly.

Main raid positioned at SW (gate) location.

Move Pli Liako add when Light/Dark emote fires -- Do not overlap the auras, or we suffer Complete Shadow (Cap HP and Mana at 75% + 35% Melee Slow).

Enchanters and Bards - Charm waning phantom adds.

Kill Centien Detraias, trash adds, Torgarath Tekar, then kill Pli Liako and Xin Thall Tavuel at same time.

Casters and Rangers DPS Pli Liako; adjust accordingly to ensure it dies at same time as Xin Thall Tavuel.

React to emotes.  Four different targeted player emotes in play during this stage.

Stage 3:

Servant of darkness adds must be kept apart otherwise they'll merge and create overwhelming darkness.

Reusing the four areas designated in Stage 1.

Each area assigned a tank group.  Assigned tanks pull their servant of darkness add to their designated area.

Main raid positioned at the designated area near the gate.

Servant of light adds tanked at main raid designated area near the gate.

Assigned MT group tank Kratakel at SW (gate); reposition each time Shadowstep occurs.


Dark Aura & Light Mechanic:

Nine players are emoted every 1 minute 40 seconds.

A Dark Aura appears around three players.  The remaining six players are Light emoted.

If a Light emoted player comes into contact with a Dark Aura, it spawns "a shade (Freed)" add.

If any Dark Auras overlap, then shadows merge, and overwhelming darkness is created.

The idea is to have Dark Aura emoted players split up and each go to a specific location.

Light emoted players move West to a designated location (just in case one or more Dark Aura players fail to move from main raid).

Brief Event Overview

The Primal Vampire is boss.

Floating feast adds spawn throughout event based on boss HP, and drop Blood Sacs when killed.

Several tenacious tick adds spawn shortly into event and latch onto players.  Ticks stop spawning after boss reaches 45%~ HP.

Two amorphous vampires spawn at boss HP percent: 75, 50, 35, and 20.

If amorphous vampires are not killed quickly enough, The Primal Vampire will heal.

When boss reaches 40%, random players targeted with long duration charm. 

Killing floating feast adds breaks charm.

Killing a charmed player results in massive AE damage and other detrimental effects.

Yellow auras appear random locations from 35% boss HP onward.  Players caught in aura hit with large amount of damage.

Boss HP locks at 5%~ and 3%~ while players charmed.


Strategy

DO NOT HAIL The Primal Vampire -- Otherwise event will start.

Assist MA.

Watch calls for DPS OFF and re-assist.

Control DPS on boss to avoid spawning amorphous vampires at the same time tick adds already up.

Amorphous vampires must die fast, or boss HP heals.

Move out of Yellow Aura - Big damage - Move to where MT moves to stay together as a raid.


Blood Sacs:

For assigned players only.

Blood Sac drops from Floating Feast adds.

Currently, we are using Blood Sac's to combine and create Enlarged Sac of Blood for the Target AE click.

Combine Blood Sac + Blood Sac to create Enlarged Sac of Blood.

Combine Enlarged Sac of Blood + Blood Sac to make Big Sac of Blood (Target AE clicky)


Tanks:
- Tank amorphous vampire at NORTH campfire

Boss.  Undead.

Boss Heal Emote: The amorphous vampire solidifies. As it does the essence of the Primal Vampire possesses it, giving it a new vessel and thus restoring its vitality. Its old vessel collapses, and it devours any remaining amorphous vampires.

Blood Sacs drop from floating feast adds.

Blood Sac is a single slot container.

Big Sac of Blood Use:

Floating feast adds spawn based on boss HP percent (small increment 2-3%~).

When a floating feast is killed:

If Big Sac of Blood effect is not present, then floating feast add will cast Feeding Frenzy when killed.

If Big Sac of Blood was used recently, the lingering effect will prevent the floating feast add from casting Feeding Frenzy when killed.

Feeding Frenzy: 450k PBAE + Mana Drain (150' range).

Brief Event Overview

Six Thall adds spawn at event start.

Unkillable Light Orb shades with damaging auras spawn periodically and path up and down the the hallways.

When all Thall adds killed, two named minibosses activate: Fade and Umber.

Once both Fade and Umber are dead, boss: Keltakun, Last Word, spawns in east room.

Three auras in play during boss:

AURA     Player Contact
PURPLE - Causes lot of damage
YELLOW - Ports player to penalty area for short period
WHITE - Protection from damage

Keltakun, Last Word spawns various adds:

A shadow chainer - Spawns two at a time
A shadowstone jailer - Spawns two at a time based on boss HP
A stolen shadow - Spawns one for each lingering player corpse


Strategy

Kill six Thall adds.

Kill Fade miniboss.

Take Umber miniboss to 15% and HOLD DPS.

WAIT for path to be clear of Light Orb shade auras.

When path clear of auras - EVERYONE move to EAST door.  Main Tank drags Umber to east door.

Kill Umber at east door.


Boss Stage:

Stay on PLATFORM - Do not hang back on bridge or small room.

No Calls - REZ ONLY - Shadow adds spawn from player corpses.  Take rez immediately.

Boss HP locked when one or more jailers alive.

MA1: Assist MA for Boss + Jailer + Stolen adds.

MA2: Rangers and Casters - DPS Chainer adds.


PURPLE Aura:

Purple aura is BAD.

Purple aura causes lot of damage.

Move to where Main Tank moves boss; to stay together with raid for splash heals.


YELLOW Aura:

Yellow aura is BAD.  If you touch it you'll be ported into a penalty area away from main raid and rooted for 36 seconds.

When root fades, return to raid by moving out of the chamber and you'll come to a platform with a bridge.

The bridge will be UP or DOWN.  To raise the bridge, look for a white crystal and click it.  Wait for bridge to appear from below then cross and return to raid.

Note: Healers - When waiting for bridge to float up you'll be in range to heal players at raid.


WHITE Aura:

White aura is GOOD.

Starts out as a big purple aura then changes to small purple aura and then a small WHITE aura appears.

Move to small WHITE aura for protection.

You can be a little off to the side of the white aura and still be fine.  Sometimes adjustment is needed because Yellow auras can be really close to the White aura.


Tanks:
- Thall adds, one tank be point to trigger event and deflect incoming adds; other tanks pickup their assigned add
- Thall adds, try not to leash, keep inside doorway; find the sweet spot

- Fade and Umber MT, try not to leash, keep inside doorway; find the sweet spot

- Chainer adds don't move - Can hold aggro from afar instead of direct contact tanking

- Stolen shadow adds - Hard hitters; need to be tanked

- Jailer adds - Movable, can be directly tanked


Healers:
- Splash

Boss.

East room unlocked: You hear a loud click from the doors at the end of the hall.

Boss Spawn: Keltakun, Last Word, speaks quietly, but everyone hears, 'Come and die, delay and you may as well leave under your own power.'

Boss Vulnerable: As the last jailer falls, Keltakun, Last Word, becomes vulnerable.


Draining Darkness- 313k PBAE + 8k Mana Drain + True North + Shadowstep (150' range)

Brief Event Overview

Timed event: 25 minutes.  Exceeding timer results in one Pli Liako add every minute.

Aten Ha Ra is boss.

Pli Liako adds spawn on engage and near end stage of event if timer exceeded.

Player emoted with Silence of Shadows.  Target AE at player location shortly after: AE DD + Mana Drain + SILENCE.

Player emoted with Fluctuating Gravity.  Target AE at player location shortly after: AE DD + Knockback + Feign Death.

Players emoted with curable Greater Shadow Poison DoT + Mana Drain + Increase damage taken from Silence of Shadows Target AE.

Several dusky bulwark stone golems spawn and path from one side of the room to the other.  Players too close hit by Body Slam (DD + KB + Stun).

Smirking guardians activate and need to be dealt with.

When Aten Ha Ra reaches 21% HP, two Oozes spawn: Kaas Thox Xi Ha Ra Dat and Kaas Thox Xi Ha Ra Set

Killing a named ooze causes it to split into two smaller oozes.

If Kaas Thox Xi Ha Ra (Dat + Set) touch each other an unstable shadow add spawns.

Aten Ha Ra HP locks at 10% while any adds are alive.

Aten Ha Ra HP unlocks at 4% regardless if any adds are alive.


Strategy

Assist MAs.

Timed event - Full burn on 3rd set of adds at start.  Discs will be back up again for final 21% stage of event.

Silence of Shadows emote - Move inside EAST Room.

Fluctuating Gravity emote - Move inside EAST Room.

Greater Shadow Poison emote - GET CURED - Self cure or ask in group if you're not able to cure.

Gargoyles - MEZ the smirking guardians to turn them to stone.


Stone Golems:

Several golems form a line and then path across the room.

There's a "gap" in the golem line that is used to move through without being hurt.

Main Tank MOVES BOSS on the steps in the SOUTH area and aligns with the oncoming gap from path of Stone Golems.

Raid FOLLOWS Main Tank and MOVES WITH BOSS to the new position.

As a raid we need to stay together.  Call out stragglers that don't move.

MA and coordinators call MOVES in raidsay and Discord.

Playing in 3rd person view is much easier to see when boss is moving and you can react immediately.


Aten Ha Ra 21% HP Onward:

Aten Ha Ra 21% HP - Two Oozes spawn.

Aten HP is LOCKED at 10% while any adds are alive.  HP unlocks at 4% regardless if any adds alive.

MA1 - Kill any Pli Liako penalty add, then get back on current Ooze being killed.  Rinse/repeat to keep Pli Liako adds down to avoid being overwhelmed.

MA2 - Casters kill oozes.  Focus on one until it dies and splits then focus on the splits.  Rinse/repeat.



Tanks:

- Pli Liako adds:
-- Upon engage spawns 3x at a time one minute apart for total of 9x (spawn: North, East, South)
-- Pli Liako spawn then activate a few seconds later; use that time to quickly acquire your assigned target
-- Pli Liako need to be pulled immediately to the main raid location (be mindful pathing on steps is a challenge)
-- Aten 21% HP penalty Pli Liako adds 1 per minute

Ooze Tanks:
- Must keep Kaas Thox oozes away from each other

- Ooze South spawn tank it SW: Kaas Thox Xi Ha Ra Dat
-- Dat ooze splits into two: Kaas Thox Xi Ha Ra Dat Zov

Aten Ha Ra is boss.

Warning Emote: Dust and blood on the floor around Soandso begins to rise from the ground.
1st Person: Gravity does mean things to you.
Note:
- Players move to avoid Fluctuating Gravity
- Emote occurs 1 minute 5 second intervals

Dusky Bulwarks - Stone Golems

Several dusky bulwark stone golems spawn and path from one side of the room to the other.  Players too close hit by Body Slam (450k DD + KB + Stun).

Warning Emote: Shadows gather along the walls and the room shakes slightly.

Shadows gather always occurs at 2 minute intervals.

Stones form North East: Stones form from shadows in the north eastern corners of the room.

Stones form North West: Stones form from shadows in the north western corners of the room.
