Event Instruction Channels

During all our raids, we have additional channels which we give specific instructions to.  If possible, please be in the channel associated with your class/role listed below:

Item Distribution Overview

Freelance uses both DKP and Random 1000 to distribute items.  All items are associated with a category, and each category tied to a ruleset; which is used for item distribution.

Current designated expansion AUG, LOOT & RUNE items require 20% Raid Attendance in order to BID/Random on them.  Retro designated expansion items are processed on demand via /random 1000 Ruleset, with normal associated base costs.  With the exception of special earmarked items (quest drops, etc).

N/A category items are distributed via Random 1000 ruleset.

LOOT category items are auctioned off in 3 rounds of open /raidsay bidding, starting at 50 DKP.  Minimum bid increments of 10 DKP at a time.  A player cannot bid beyond their Current DKP holdings.  Following no bids, an OPEN tag is associated and the Random 1000 ruleset is used (no RA needed).

Each "Real Life" person is allowed to participate, winning one AUG, LOOT, RUNE, and N/A item per night.  OPEN items still count as your item in that category for the night, and are available to anyone, including prior winners.   FFA items cost the same as their aforementioned category, but are not restricted to one per "Real Life" person.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

I worked up some preliminary details based on triggering the raid event a few times.  Thanks those who were placeholders in group so I could request the instance.

Doing the group mission version is helpful too.  I think I've done the group mission 3 times, so far.  As a side note, the group version is pretty quick, good to farm for runes, and can drop a decent aug.

Here's a brief rundown of the group mission:

Kill General Dekloaz in tower across the bridge, top floor.

Next miniboss spawns outside the forge building.  Flying drakes with target-rings on ground are in play as well (same mechanic as in Skyfire, DD in ring area on ground, can avoid by moving out of the ring).

Move into forge building, kill miniboss in there.  This miniboss may have adds, or I'm confusing with the portal adds (portals outside North-West tower).  I think the portal adds may start when this miniboss dies though.

Outside the NW tower, kill the portals that are spawning adds, along with any adds.

Move to the big North-EAST building, inside on the top floor and kill the final Boss.  The final boss summons all the undead generals to his aid.

The details in this post are based on my time experimenting in the raid instance.  The event is linear, so obviously I wasn't able to get beyond stage 1.  It's a starting point.

In-game raid Achievements, can also provide some hints.

This is a preliminary write up, which will be amended accordingly based on our experiences and feedback provided by our raiders.

Stage 1

After event starts, two Krellnakor levy spawn outside the first tower across the bridge.  In the tower, at the top floor, are three sarnak.

In addition, on the north side of the zone outside the big building, three Wulthan chokidun spawn.  Periodically, each spawns a chokidai, which attacks a player (or auto-agros on someone).

This stage may involve other tower/areas/mobs.  Since I was alone in the instance, I wasn't able to dispatch the first tower mobs and advance the script.

Event appears to reset at 7 minute mark from start.

Talking to Krellnakor Guardian Garanok triggers the event.  Located just before the bridge.


Achievements

No Fakes - Do not kill the fake mirror image versions of the Acron sarnak.
Ghosted - Defeat 3 or fewer undying ghosts.
Foul Breath - Individual: Avoid being hit by the drakes' Cinder Sputum breath attack.

A Kar`Zok snowblaze

Located stationary at the top of the ramp.  Surrounded by a blue aura that damages, has a push back and stun.

Snowblaze is damageable.  Can't get close enough to directly melee without hitting aura, but can by range.

Snowblaze is active and melee hits you, if in range.

Concussive Barrier    AURA - 88k DD + Push Back + Stun
Effect message: You are pushed back by a powerful magical force.


Emotes & mechanics:

They pathed down the ramp towards assaulter adds.

As the spheres pathed down the ramp, they stopped periodically, moved back and forth.  They didn't path directly down the ramp.

Cactiikii AE rampages, we denote a location to tank it.  Adds are killed in a location outside AE Rampage from Cactiikii.

Cactiikii shreds adds at HP percentages: 83, 67, 51~, ...  The adds are: a pitiful succulent, a surreal succulent, a spiteful succulent

A burgeoning succulent - Timed spawn.  When killed, spawns sub-entities: a pitiful succulent, a surreal succulent, a spiteful succulent

A renegade succulent - MOVE RENEGADE SUCCULENTS AWAY FROM RAID!  These explode for a lot of damage (emote warns, also has visual ring around mob, hard to miss it).  Assigned CC to move them (snare first, or it may root itself if moved too quickly).

A sprouting succulent - Spawns random locations, if not killed grow into a renegade succulent.  Sprouting adds do not hit back.  Appear on track.  We are only killing if going for Achievement: Brown Thumb

NPC at ZI gives out an item to click on the ground to plant and trigger the event script.  The location where you can click is limited, and emotes messages indicating which areas are permitted.

Upon planting, the event begins:

[Thu Jan 11 20:54:45 2018] The plant quickly expands in short, jerky movements.

... A monstrous succulent spawns:

[Thu Jan 11 20:54:57 2018] Paruaa says, 'Hail, a monstrous succulent'

[Thu Jan 11 20:55:00 2018] A tiny scream can be heard underfoot as the succulent takes to the fertile soil. It grows rapidly.


...

[Thu Jan 11 20:55:40 2018] The succulent grows rapidly in the fertile soil, producing rustling and snapping sounds as the plant's flesh unfolds.

... A monstrous succulent is killed:

[Thu Jan 11 20:56:22 2018] A monstrous succulent has been slain by Vulvana!

... A few seconds later, boss goes active:

[Thu Jan 11 20:56:25 2018] A high-pitched voice booms, 'Did you think you would be sneaky? Now you've angered great Cactiikii!'



Achievements for reference:

Atrocious - Allow at least three sets of the weird little succulents to grow together into atrocious succulents.
Green Thumb - Allow all the sprouting succulents to mature.
Brown Thumb - Kill all the sprouting succulents before they can mature.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Event is triggered upon entering the event room.

Boss roams around room with an Aura active which has a huge DD and Mana Drain if hit by it.

Various adds and mini-bosses spawn at different stages we have to deal with in different ways.

Entire event is timed, including each stage.

Stages below are listed in order of appearance.

Hammers, Axes, Siphons

Waves of adds spawn.  Sets of: 1 Essence Hammer, 2 Executioner's Axes, and 1 Magical Siphon.

Our kill order is: Siphons, Axes, Hammers.

Everyone position IN THE SOUTH EAST (SE) CORNER.  SE corner is the immediate corner to your left as you enter the event area.  Do not stand near the tables.

DPS - MINI BURN FROM ENGAGE - We must keep pace killing the adds, or we become overwhelmed and lose tanks.


Tanks:

Hammers - Tank them in corner, face them towards the corner.  We don't want their Frontal AE (Bonk) hitting tanks who have the debuff: Mana Destruction (from Siphons).

Siphons, Axes (executioners), tank at raid.


Books

6 living tome (books) spawn, along with lorenado (like a miniboss).  A viral silence comes into play.

Casters and Healers position at the nearby TABLE to avoid silence.

Paladins - Position at table to avoid silence, splash main raid, and patch heal Book tanks.

MA work books, leaving lorenado miniboss until last.


Tanks:

Lorenado Tank, position that miniboss over by the doorway right nearby our corner (it's right next to a golem).

Golem tanks, prep before Lorenado dies.  We need you to move into position at your assigned Golem.


Golems

Four Imperial Constructs (golems), activate.  Golems cast Golem's Grasp, if you're too close you get pulled in.  15s later, they cast Footstomp, AE DD (185k, down to 120k after spell shielding).

Casters and Healers, position outside Golem AEs.  Move as applicable to avoid roaming boss with aura.

MA work around room starting at SW, then NW, NE and do SE last.


Tanks:

You are assigned in pairs (two tanks per Golem), as setup allows.  You have dedicated healers, usually 2-3, as setup allows.

Be already in position at your assigned Golem before this stage activates.

You cannot pre-target Golems.

Golems like to pull ya towards them (as indicated above), which makes moving them to their corners challenging.  Do your best to snag them immediately upon activation and get it into your assigned corner.

Tank pairs, work together, communicate.  Perhaps the backup tank can initiate the aggro, and the point tank in corner snap aggro and bring it to you.  Whatever works best for you.  Work with each other.  Discuss this during prep with each other.

Casters and Healers, position in middle of room.  Move as applicable to avoid roaming boss with aura.


Dervishes

Three dervishes (cores) are in play.

We kill the LAST Golem in the South-EAST (SE) corner of the room.

ONLY when the LAST Golem dies, EVERYONE to move to the SE CORNER.  Certain players are exempt for this though (as indicated below).

BEFORE the last golem dies: Clerics, cast your IoS's as assigned and MGB Celestial Regeneration.  Druid SoTW as assigned by Dimbly.

Dervish TANKS.  Be ready and in position as assigned (SW, NW, NE).  The moment the Golem dies, get ready to DISC FORT/DEFLECT, immediately target your assigned dervish and get it positioned!

HEALERS - BE IN RANGE OF YOUR DERVISH TANK - But avoid Dervish Auras!

ONLY when Dervishes are positioned is MA to call ASSIST and start killing.

Each time Dervishes reset, 20s is added to the timer.

We are delaying on Dervishes until the first RESET -- To give us a little bit more time (this may change as we improve on this stage).

MELEE DPS on Core of LIGHTNING first -- Assisting MA1.

CASTERS on Core of FLAME first -- Assisting MA2.

Then everyone converges on STONE.





Dervish Auras:

An aura is visible around each Core dervish.  In contact with the aura and you get a DoT.  If you happen to have a lingering DoT from one of the other cores, you'll take more damage.

Core of Flame  Burning Ash:DoT 77k + Inhibit Combat + Increase damage from Shock of Lightning and Grinding Stones (30s)
RANGE DPS THIS ONLY
Pattern: Burning ash gets into your eyes.
 
Core of Stone  Grinding Stones:DoT 75k + Endurance drain 999, Increase Hit DMG Taken by 30% + Increase damage from Shock of Lightning and Burning Ash (30s)

Emote fires 1 min 30s.  On each reset, 20s is added to the timer.



Ancient Guardian of the Vault

Following Dervishes, boss activates: The Ancient Guardian of the Vault regains his vision and attacks!

Rambling Bones    Caster PBAE 119k DoT, Debuff.  Interrupts casting, Decrease chance to Double Attack
Disease Cures it (45 counters).
Pattern: Your bones start to move, as if trying to leave your body.
Note: First cast 106s, then 85s, 85s, ... no other data.

Boss AE Rampages.  Single target rampages.

Excess Mana mechanic - Starts around 30% onward.  Penalty add for each player whose mana is not between 30% and 70%.

Tank in SE corner of room.

Everyone assist MA unless assigned otherwise.  We do assign static sustained DPS groups on boss, if you're not in one of them, then you assist MA always please.

Freelance Raid Suggestion Policy regarding New Content

We've stated this frequently in-game, but also feel it's important to cover it on our forum as well.

The Freelance team requests that anyone who has done new content with their respective raid team, to please refrain from giving us suggestions, as it's more enjoyable if we learn events on our own, thanks!

The premise behind this policy is to help facilitate an enjoyable and original raiding experience when facing new content.  By asking others that have done an event already to refrain from making suggestions, it helps preserve the mystery, allowing for discovery by others.  The discovery process provides the opportunity for those other players to contribute their suggestions, for the team to co-ordinate their efforts, and eventually defeat the content.

We appreciate all those who wish to participate in our raids.  This policy is in no way meant to lessen the importance of one segment of our players from another.  Players who must refrain from offering suggestions are still able to contribute in their class roles and other helpful forms.

Be aware, this policy is official, and compliance is mandatory.  It is stipulated in our guidelines, and actively enforced.  Failure to comply may result in a warning, or temporary benching from events, and possible escalating penalties as the team deems necessary in more severe cases of non-compliance.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Queen is up on the hill.

Two named Di`Zok Captains, each surrounded by a squad of Di`Zok adds.  Di`Zok adds are a mixture of different types.

Captains absorbed at HP%'s, 80, 60, 40, 20.

Sycophants spawn at timed intervals from the tunnel area.  Queen is invulnerable when Sycophants are up.

Puppets spawn at timed intervals and charm players.

From 40% onward, Queen casts Reflective Scale on herself every 30s.  Cast Eradicate Magic on Queen to remove her self buff please.

At around 10-15% the queen begins to summon her sokokar mount.  If the mount is not killed she flies away on it and the event resets.  There are 4 sokokar flying up above the raid.  If we kill one, she will summon another.  The summoned mount shows up on tracking.

Strategy:

Assist MA, add kill priority: Warcasters, Menders, Soldiers, Blademasters.

Off-tanking Captains.

Groups #2 + #3 and Necromancers, are sustained DPS on Queen.  But these two groups also help raid kill Sycophants when they are up (because we can't damage Queen otherwise), and help main raid against Warcasters, due to their AEs, we need them down fast to limit player deaths.  We also need you helping on adds at the initial event start.

We place a campfire in the location where tanks are dragging adds.  AE's are permitted and encouraged.  The goal in this area is to kill adds fast, keep pace.

Doomlight Emote: When emoted, run INTO TUNNEL.





Add Tanks:

You're assigned to adds by type, with overlap.  From there, you work out the /tar 0#'s.  There are two Captains, each has a squad of adds of a specific type.  When a Captain is absorbed, another spawns, and you pickup the appropriate adds.

* Important - Warcaster adds.  These are brutal because of the two AEs they do (DoT + DD, includes Stun + Mana Drain).

Warcasters - If the set that spawns or we start out with is furthest from the raid, then the assigned point tank Deflects/Forts and waits for Smoke to AE before bringing the adds to the raid.  Then each tank picks off a Warcaster and raid dispatches.  If the spawn is at raid, then tanks pick up one each and we muscle through the Smoke AE.


Healers:

In addition to your regular healing and so forth, please maintain GHoTs as applicable, and be splashing regularly.  Especially important for splashes is during Warcaster adds.  Due to the AEs, we suffer the greatest number of deaths during these adds.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Go through fake wall to enter library event area.  Event triggered by talking to Prince Selrach Di`Zok.  Room seals off once event started.

Prince attacks and shortly after two alchemists spawn (a master alchemist).

There is a purplish-black aura that descends randomly covering about half of the room in three blocks that run from the bottom of the lower level to the top of the upper level.  When in the aura you are hit with a DoT + Blind.  When the aura descends, Prince is relocated.  The aura must be lifted in a timely fashion to resume the event, or an event failure occurs.

Throughout the room are various braziers (flames in pots).  Flames have different colors.

Coded emotes appear from a ghostly voice one minute apart.  These appear to coincide with portions of the room going dark.

A Worn Notebook spawns on the table near where Prince is initially located.  The book contains three (3) numbers.  These numbers correlate with related emotes from a ghostly voice.  The numbers are used to decipher the ghostly emotes (positionally), which then reveals the location of the correct brazier to light.  Each event reset appeared to spawn a new book, so a new set of numbers.

Each Master Alcehmist drops a torch clicky item.  The torch is taken and clicked near the appropriate brazier.  Upon clicking, the aura leaves the room and the library lights up.

The Prince then becomes active (attackable) again.


Strategy:

Main raid, on steps/ramp area.

Brazier mechanic co-ordinated by Dimbly, with assigned Clickers.

Tanks:

Main Tank Position Prince at bottom of the ramp; on the floor, a bit away from the steps.  This helps avoid AE Rampage from hitting raid.

Main Tanks, it'll be handy if you have the map file with the Brazier locations, because you're responsible for pulling the Prince back to the raid each time the room is relit.

Alchemist Tanks - Position these on the ramp, so casters have clear line of sight.



Braziers, Ghostly Emotes, & Book

Dimbly has compiled an overview:

Following the event start, Prince attacks, the room is sealed, and  a book containing three (3) numbers spawns on the table. 




These 3 numbers are the cypher to unlock the message from the "ghostly voice." 



The ghostly voice gives 3 lines of clues to locate the braziers, 1 minute apart.

[Wed Feb 01 21:42:49 2017] a ghostly voice shouts, 'Blue, Red, East, Upper, South, West, Green, Lower, North.'

The cypher changes every time the event is spawned.  In this case the cypher is 2, 4, 9.   The numbers correspond to the word positions in the phrase from the ghostly voice.  Using the example emotes above, would translate to the following locations: 

Red, Upper, North
South, Upper, Green
South, Blue, Upper

These descriptions indicate specific brazier locations.  The lower floor has 4 braziers - 1 in each corner of the room.  The upper floor has 8 braziers - 1 in each corner of the room, 2 close together at the top of the ramp on the East side, and 2 opposite on the balcony on the West side.

As we mentioned before, when the event starts 2 Master Alchemist spawn.  When these mobs are killed they drop an Alchemist's Torch.



This torch is to be taken and clicked near the appropriate brazier.  The brazier is not targetable, but merely being in its proximity when the torch is clicked is enough to satisfy the script.  The aura leaves and the room lights up. 

[Fri Feb 03 21:42:20 2017] Reyek lights the key brazier, illuminating the entire library!

Upon entering the aura, you have 6 seconds to click the torch at the proper brazier before you are hit with Necromantic Nightfall.  Don't dawdle imo.  When the torch carrier dies and/or when the event resets the torch poofs.

Further Master Alchemist spawn seem to be tied to % points in the Prince's health.  They spawn in pairs and again drop more torches when dispatched.

Periodic Purplish-Black Aura

There is a purplish-black aura that descends randomly covering about half of the room in three blocks that run from the bottom of the lower level to the top of the upper level.  When in the aura you are hit with a DoT + Blind (Chilling Gloom, Necromantic Nightfall [ when in proximity to correct braizer ]).

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

This event consists of defending the city from multiple waves of various types of adds.  Various AEs, emotes and other mechanics are in play.

There are three main named friendly NPCs: Tsaph Katta, Praetor Denik, Lcea Katta.  If Tsaph Katta dies, the event is reset.  Additional fodder NPCs which help defend the gateways are also friendly and help us, but need our help at times.

Breaking this event down in stages.

Event Start

Gorenaire attacks and has directional emotes.

At 94% it flies up, and the assault waves begin.

Strategy:

Main Raid:
  • Assist MA and react to directional emotes as triggers indicate.
  • Unless you're the main tank, avoid the front of Gorenaire, that way you avoid Gorenaire's Freezing Breath DD + Melee slow.

Gorenaire Main Tank: Face Gorenaire North please.


Stage 1 - Sarnak Add Waves

Sarnaks approach three gateways: East, North-East, North-West.

Each gateway has friendly NPC guards which attack active Sarnaks.  Among them are a magio type which keep the blue barrier shield up that prevents most adds from coming through.  Any adds affected by the barrier appear feigned death (FD).  If magio die, the barrier falls and all the built up FD adds at that gate rush in.

At various intervals breaches in the barrier occur with a clear emoted location, for example: Praetor Denik shouts, 'We need reinforcements at the northeastern breach!

When a breach emote occurs, a handful of adds approach the gate location emoted and pass directly through the barrier.  Friendly NPCs will attack the breaching sarnaks if in range, otherwise the breaching Sarnaks go straight for Tsaph Katta.

Note: Our friendly NPCs at the gates also appear to get bored and aggro the FD Sarnak adds which then causes them to attack.  So there are times when we need to save them by peeling these adds off as well to save our friendly NPCs.

Strategy:

Main Raid:
  • Assist MA to dispatch adds quickly.
  • AE damage is encouraged.
  • Stay close to the main raid to avoid ping-ponging adds.

Tanks:
  • Assigned puller tanks immediately intercept priority to breach barrier Sarnaks; if we're keeping pace on them, pull other adds that the NPCs are attacking and bring them to the raid located at Tsaph Katta.
  • Puller tanks will be paired up and assigned to each gate.  NE and NW gates are the furthest from the raid, therefore we need these tanks positioned nearby so that if/when those gates are emoted they are quickly able to react and bring the adds to the raid without delay or if our friendly NPCs need help, pick off those adds and bring to the raid.
  • Remaining tanks not assigned will pick up adds via ETW as pullers bring them in.

CC - Enchanters:
  • Your job is to co-ordinate an AE Stun rotation to lock the adds down as they reach the raid.
  • Please position close to the raid, and surround yourself with other players.  This way if the adds do slip through a tank, they're more likely to hit someone else, and not you.  It'll also allow you to keep your AE Stun centralized which is pretty critical to having good coverage.  If you're outside the main raid, the stun will not be as effective.
  • If you're interested in co-ordinating the AE Stun effort, please let me (Furro) know during prep.  Thanks.

Healers: Position along the south building on the ledge a few feet from the ground.  Keep Divine Alliance up on your group tanks.


Stage 2 - Giants, Griffin mounts & Sokokar Bombardier adds

At least three enraged giants spawn.  Giants cast Giant Stomp PBAE 120k DD + Stun + Knockback, 90' range.

An emote occurs when giants spawn, for example: Praetor Denik shouts, 'Heroes! We need you in the southeast. They have sent giants to climb our walls!'

The Griffin mounts and Sokokar Bombardier adds are handled by the griffin team lead by Dimbly.  Players are assigned and instructions in this area are given during prep.  Anyone not assigned, please leave the Griffin mounts be, thank-you.

Strategy:

Main Raid: Assist MA and dispatch each giant.

Tanks:
  • Tanks assigned to each Giant.
  • Giants come from the southeast.
  • Target hotkey: /tar an_enraged_giant00, 01, 02 -- where ## represents the number you are assigned.
  • Tanks position your giant # according to the map position markers (G00, G01, G02).

Main Assist: Focus on the first giant positioned East, then work North from there.  Refer to map for markers if needed.


Stage 3 - Flame Assaulter Adds

Several Flame assaulter adds spawn and rush in.  These adds have a shield which reflects spells (a mechanic/action removes it).

An emote occurs when flame assaulters first spawn: Denik shouts, 'Be ready, incoming enemy reinforcements! I don't like the look of those shields!'

Flame assauters cast Sarnak Bash 90k DD + Stun 6s (single-target).

Strategy:

For these adds, we're currently letting them attack Tsaph while pulling out a single add at a time and dispatching it.

Note: Removing flame assaulters shield buff

We've tried a few things to remove the shield.  Including a suggestion that we move the flame assaulter near a magio to remove the shield buff.  I haven't personally seen the buff drop when we've done this, so I can't confirm whether it worked.  Some feedback/reports on this would be great.

I have a feeling it's not the magio that remove the shield, but possibly the big blue ring that appears to randomly target NPCs.  The ring is targeting both friendly and enemy NPCs which are then hit by Gorenaire's Freezing Breath AE.  Perhaps moving the flame assaulter inside the ring removes the shield.  Anyway, it seems strange to have this ring appearing and for it to only hit NPCs.

Not to pigeon hole my theory above, but when we did move the flame assaulters to magio, if the shield dropped, was it really magio causing it or just a fluke that the ring was there as well...  Obviously I don't know, I didn't record the event and I wasn't watching closely enough at the time.  I do recall though, on one of our earlier attempts when flame assaulters were attacking Tsaph, the shield was down on one I targeted, but I don't know if it had just worn off or was removed somehow.

We also need to make a serious attempt at avoiding fire spells on flame assaulters and only use COLD.  If the shield is fire, and we use opposite (cold), it may break the shield.  This is a common mechanic we've seen in past events.  Watch for /rs instructions on this, as it's something we'll explore in an isolated run.


Main Raid: Assist MA and dispatch each flame assaulter when called upon.


Stage 4 - Gorenaire, Blizzards, Squalls, and Dreadfrost Drakes

At this point Gorenaire is forced to the ground by the griffin team and attacks the raid.

Blizzards & Squalls:
  • Spawn when Gorenaire emotes: Gorenaire's freezing breath coalesces into living things. Angry living things.
  • These adds cast Whiteout: Blind + Decrease Dodge, Block 30% + 25k DoT + Mana Drain (12s, 90' Caster PB).
Dreadfrost Drakes:
  • Spawn when Gorenaire emotes: Gorenaire calls for aid, and you immediately hear the beating of wings.
  • Drakes spawn from the west on the ground, then take flight to the air.
  • Mezzing a drake brings it back to the ground.
  • Drakes cast Chilling Drake Breath - Directional AE 50k DD + 24k DoT, but increases spell damage taken when player hit by Gorenaires frontal AE (Gorenaire's Freezing Breath).

Strategy:

Main Raid:
  • Assist MA when called upon to dispatch adds immediately.  The adds are the greater threat.
  • Avoid attacking Gorenaire when adds are up.  We need all our efforts on adds due to their AE.
  • When fighting Gorenaire react to directionals emotes as triggers indicate.

Tanks:
  • Adds - Each tank is assigned to an ETW add.
  • Boss MT - When adds spawn, move Gorenaire North away from main raid, this helps in two ways:
    • a) Raid less likely to get hit by Gorenaires directional AEs while we're dealing with adds.
    • b) Whiteout AE is cast by blizzard and squall adds, which reduces your ability to tank effectively.
Tanks, Gorenaire appears to ignore the most hated at times.  It was pretty chaotic when we reached Gore on Saturday, but it looks like it switches when the following emote occurs:

Explosives casting spells

This is just for reference.

There's an explosives NPC casting the spell: Incendiary Explosive - 75K Caster PB, AE range 100' with a knockback.

From my logs, I believe this is only happening during flame assaulters (stage 3).  It clearly doesn't hit everyone, and as you can see it doesn't have a big range.  It could just be extra damage for this stage to make things more interesting, or it could be something else.

When boss ignores MT, this trigger should fire for the MT only (based on the Bite and Toss that hits the MT single-target).  The trigger action is text/voice saying "Gorenaire ignoring YOU".  It's up to the MT to tweak the trigger as they need.  Also, I'm not sure if the MT can snap aggro back (like how we did for Stem raid boss) or do we need to Tank Swap when this happens.


Everyone - Trigger set includes:
- Gorenaire directionals:
-- Left, Right are reversed in-game currently and the trigger has been adjusted to compensate, so players just react as trigger indicates.
-- Front and Tail directional triggers.

If anyone is running Windows XP and Everquest, they may experience issues with the EQ Launcher since the most recent patch.  I had an issue on the FLBot account, since it runs on a Windows XP machine, so just in case others have the same issue, here's the steps I took to resolve it:

1) https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/kb/179113

2) Go to the above link, scroll down the page to where it says:

Install DirectX End-User Runtime if your application or game requires an earlier version of DirectX

To resolve this issue, go to the following Microsoft website to install DirectX End-User Runtime:

3) Follow the above link.  Run the installer.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

We start out with a full burn on Anashti Sul.

Groups 4, 5, 7, via MA2 divert to destroy the Shards starting North, then East, then West.  Shards heal Anashti, it's important to kill them FAST.

Group 6, via MA3 destroy West shard.  Try and get your shard down before the other groups get to it.

Druids - Help nuke West shard when it pops each time please.

At 70% of Anashti Sul HP, the Shards stop spawning and two emotes come into play (Mortal Decay, and Poison Blast target on player x).

At 45%, three minibosses spawn.  Follow MA calls.

While minibosses are active, Anashti Sul is stationary.  MT, back off and maintain aggro.  Be ready when minibosses down to re-engage please.


Notes:
- Adds stopped spawning sometime between 70 and 45%
- Until we reach 70%, make sure you're burning boss, and assigned groups react quickly to dispatch shards please.  We're OT'ing adds until we get boss to 70.


Auras

When the trigger fires to run to Aura. 

The following are the absolute minimum graphic settings to see the auras.  Zoning is required for the changes to take effect.

To make the changes, in game go to Options (ALT-O), Display tab.  On that page there's a Particles area with three little tabs: Spells, Env and Player.




Text & Audio Triggers - Mandatory

- Mark of Sul - Boss Self Debuff that Heal Procs when melee hit.  Use beneficial dispel on boss to remove it.
- Mortal Decay - Get in the pool aura.  Boss emotes, run to pool aura
- Mortal Decay - If you fail this, you get a huge 5 min DoT.  This trigger will fire and remind you that you failed.
- Poison Blast Targeted - This is a WIP.  I havn't done the group mission, but from what Feroxide has mentioned in his experience with it is one player gets hit, they take x damage.  If two players get hit they take x/2 (half) damage, and so forth.  So for this trigger, we're going to try and stay together to reduce this damage.

17th Anniversary Raid - Hate's Fury - Captain Krasnok

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

For this event, we clear minibosses and trash to collect items which unlock the door to the main event area.

Main event: Captain Krasnok

Captain Krasnok spawns four miniboss type adds at 75%.

Various AEs in play including DDs, Stuns, Mana Drains.  Mana Drain AE has a relationship/protection to potentially timed auras of select color.

Assist MA

Call the Mist debuff happens at 95% and then every 15% after.  So slow DPS down to 96, wait till auras about to pop and bring him down to 95 to spawn the debuff. get in auras and avoid it/strip it off.  Once the Captain starts casting Call the Mist, he casts it 4 times, and then it is safe to get out of the auras.

Call the Mist: 95, 80, 65, 50, 35, 20, 5

The purple auras on the floor spawn every 2 minutes from the moment you aggro him.

DO NOT OVER DPS and cause Call the Mist before auras pop, or its basically going to wipe us because healers will not have any mana.  Pay attention to MA assist/back off calls.

He has an AE called Sweeping Scimitar on a timer - if you do not want to take the extra damage, there is a timer in trigs to warn you on incoming so you can back away.

Fists of Krasnok spawn x4 at 75% on his health.  The adds themselves do not cast any debuffs, but the 'room' does. (at least when you look at and run the previous iteration of this raid in the original zone).  The Fists do not have cast messages. The debuffs cast immediately on their spawn. The tank on the 'stun' corner mob (SE corner), needs to NOT be directly in the corner or they will be immediately stunned and the mob will be loose.  A loose Fist is basically a wipe as the stun will pretty much screw the tanks/healers in the rest of the room.  Stun corner needs to stand a bit away from the corner, but still pick up the mob quickly.

Here is the stun info, and you can see how detrimental it truly is at 5s stun with an 87k dd attached:

All of the Fist mobs can be stunned - this is very important.  They hit for 32k+, the tank that is on them as well as the rest of the raid benefits from not having these mobs wrecking anyone.  Each corner will be assigned an SK for aggro, and a paladin or enchanter or both as class availability allows.  Priority for locking in the corner in which is spawned is the Stun mob.  The others' DoTs and Debuffs can be cleared with cures.  The stun mob is important to lock up quickly.

Attached is a map picture of the room with the position to tank the boss in and the add spawns from 75%.  Boss is tanked center of the West wall, near the door.

When we reach the 40% mark, Call the mist and auras are ignored and full burn should happen. 

The blade adds start somewhere around 35% (couldn't lock down when), but everyone should be over on the west side of the room at this point and rangers, druids, shaman, chanters, and anyone with a root/kick should be putting those blades on the east side of the room parked until the boss is burned down.  These appear to come in sets of 8 on a timer after a certain point.

The Blade adds charm the person they are hitting.  They have to land a hit for the charm to proc - so if you have fort, flash, deflect, other that will keep you from getting charmed, use it. Blade adds can be kited, rooted, presumably snared.  So there again is no reason for you to get charmed/hit.

The faster we burn the boss, the less of the adds we'll have.  On our win last week we had one set, but if we take too long, we'll end up with 2 sets or more.

Additional items that couldn't be locked down as to timing - there is another debuff that is in play towards the end call Crush of the Kraken.  It is a root/silence.  Tanks be aware of this and plan accordingly to not receive heals.
