Item Distribution Overview

Freelance distributes items based on DKP and Raid Attendance (RA%).

Each player's current DKP holdings up to 1000 is multiplied by their RA% resulting in Effective DKP.

During raids, players can only use their Effective DKP to purchase items.  Item purchases are subtracted in real-time from a players Effective DKP only.

Players opt-in on items they are interested in.  Winners are determined by highest current Effective DKP.  Ties resolved via /random 1000, highest wins.

Each "Real Life" person is allowed to opt-in for an unlimited number of items.  The only restriction is that for equipment, the person must be able to equip/activate the item.

Following the above processes, any remaining items are placed in the FFA pool to be distributed only when announced in /raidsay.  FFA items are associated with their standard base cost by category, as indicated in the Item Base Costs (IBC) table below.  Anyone can loot FFA items.

Brief Event Overview

20 minute timed event.

Unfettered Emerald Excellence boss triggered by keyword to start event.

Mephit & Armor adds spawn and depending on type are weak to various abilities: Snare, Stun, Slow, Mez and Root

Boss temporarily roots itself and goes invulnerable during adds.

Big boulder with an aura spawns at player emoted locations.  Aura causes damage to players caught in it.

There is a range AE effect in play during event.  Players near center of event area take less AE damage than outer areas.

Random players hit with one of two effects with penalty for improper action.

Player death results in mephit add penalty.  Player returns with DT effect requiring cure.

At 84% - Mephit waves spawn, boss invulnerable.  After four mephit waves boss vulnerable.

At 70% - All players get a protective mark buff.  Players must run to the correct hallway their mark is associated with or suffer a penalty (death).

At 68% - Armors spawn in random hallways and path towards boss.  If armor reaches boss it causes 375k AE and stun.

At 50% - Mephit waves spawn, boss invulnerable.  After four mephit waves boss vulnerable.  Armors continue to spawn.


Strategy

Avoid boulders.

Center area is optimum during non-protective marks stage.

When boss invulnerable, everyone use proper banes to kill mephits and armors.  Not using assist, kill on sight.

When boss is vulnerable, assist MA and BURN boss.  Players assigned to Mephits & Armors Kill Team keep adds in check.

When protective mark emoted, run to the hallway as indicated; to the red "Run To" marker and STOP.  Your trigger will emote whether success/failure and safe to return.


Cures:

IMPORTANT!

TWO effects happen during event.  Our triggers are SIMPLE.  Depending on effect the action is DO NOT CURE OR CURE.

Trigger tells you exactly what to do.

Poison Proliferation - ON YOU - DO NOT CURE

Spreading Stone - ON YOU - POISON CURE

You have 18 seconds to do the correct thing.

As you can see, when you have Poison Proliferation (PP for short), you DO NOTHING.

When you have Spreading Stone (SS for short), you POISON CURE.

For players who cannot SELF POISON CURE - We will hand out potions: Distillate of Immunization XVII.  Only ask for poison cure in group when your potion is on cooldown!

This is one of those raids where incorrect action taken when afflicted by an effect has a devastating impact for the entire raid.

When your trigger fires, READ / LISTEN to the message and act accordingly.


Penalties:

IF you cast POISON CURE with Poison Proliferation buff on, you cause AE DAMAGE to entire raid.

IF you are not POISON CURED to remove SPREADING STONE you are hit by DEATHTOUCH AND a mephit add spawns.

IF you DIE for any reason, when you return you automatically have Spreading Stone.  Your trigger fires normally when this happens to indicate POISON CURE.


Classes: Cleric, Paladin, Druid, Shaman

IF someone in group asks you for a POISON CURE because their potion is on cooldown, then perform the following steps:
  • Target YOURSELF and cast single target CURSE CURE: Eradicate Curse (in case you have PP buff)
     
  • Then TARGET PLAYER to cure and cast single target POISON CURE: Eradicate Poison

Classes: Ranger and Beastlord

This is here because our class setup in raids varies and having extra classes that can cast single target POISON CURE: Eradicate Poison can potentially be helpful.

Special steps to cure if you're playing a Ranger or Beastlord.

IF someone in group asks you for a POISON CURE because their potion is on cooldown, then perform the following steps:
  • IF YOU have Poison Proliferation buff - DO NOTHING - DO NOT CURE ANYONE
     
    • Seriously, if you have PP buff, STOP and do nothing -- You cannot help the person needing a cure!
     
  • WITHOUT Poison Proliferation buff - Then TARGET PLAYER to cure and cast single target POISON CURE: Eradicate Poison
* Note: Poison Proliferation can be seen TWO ways: GINA YELLOW OVERLAY displays when you have buff OR it'll be visible in your BARD WINDOW.


Mephits & Armors Kill Team:

Mephits and Armors are weak to the following spells/abilities outlined below. 

Make /tar hotkeys accordingly and hit hokey to /tar add and cast correct bane.  Combine cast/abilities in hotkey etc.

No need to wait for assist call on mephits and armors.

For armors, position yourself at entrance to hallway to spot when armor spawns, engage and DPS it to 90% then use bane against armor to kill it.

Armor Adds Tracker and Announcer:

Player assigned to track and announce in raidsay armor type, location, bane to use.

When sentinel (armor) mob appears on track, immediately announce to raid by using your hotkeys setup as outlined below.

Five hotkeys with format separating the mob type, location and bane to use by a delimiter (: or - or |).

Separate hotkeys for each mob type, for example:

Note: It may be safer to separate this approach into two hotkeys to deal with a spell interrupt.  First self curse cure and then trigger emotes that you are cured.  Then hit the 2nd hotkey to group poison cure.


DPS:

- Boss when vulnerable, unless you are assigned to Mephits & Armors Kill Team


MA Kill Order:

- Certain classes FFA with bane damage against mephits and armors accordingly

Unfettered Emerald Excellence

Boss.

Spawns mephit adds HP based 84%, 50%, ... Emote: A wave of mephits materializes.

Additional mephit spawn emotes occurred at 20s intervals up to four times.

Notes:
- Boss not rooted until around the time mephits spawn
- Just prior to mephits spawning, player Centare reported boss invulnerable.  Centare also reported boss rooted at this time
-- Boss indicates invulernable in brackets under name

Invulnerable emote from boss just prior to mephit emote:

Action: Do not cast poison cure when you have Poison Proliferation effect
           
Poison Splash500k DD Caster AE (250' range).  Recourse: Poison Splash Trigger, Caster AE (12500' range, Achievement trigger)
Effect - 1st Person: You are splashed with a caustic brown goo!
           
Spreading StoneCasts Spreading Stone Trigger if not cured.  18s duration.  Transforms player into an elemental (Spreading Stone Shape). 
36 Poison Counters.  Single target
Effect - 1st Person: Your movements become stiff.
Effect - 3rd Person: Soandso stiffens.
Emote - 1st Person: NPCNAME locks onto you with a piercing glare.
Action: Poison cure.  Do not self cure if you have Poison Proliferation buff
           
Spreading Stone Trigger999k DD + 999k DoT (60s duration).  Transforms player into an elemental (Spreading Stone Shape).
Effect - 1st Person: You have turned to stone.
Effect - 3rd Person: Soandso is turned to stone.
           
Magnificent Presence30k DD
Range Based Mod: 1000% at 0' to 0% at 200'
Effect increases the closer one is to Unfettered Emerald Excellence.
Effect - 1st Person: You are overwhelmed by a magnificent presence.
Note: Comes into play during protective marks stage of event.
           
Elemental Incompatibility250k DD + MANA/END DRAIN 250k (single-target)
Effect - 1st Person: Your body and mind are turned inside out!
Notes:
- Penalty when player is not in correct hallway or far enough down correct hallway associated with protective mark buff on player

Adds

Various adds spawn throughout event.

Mephit adds spawn under two conditions:
  • Scripted at periodic intervals, UEE boss HP 84%, 50%, ...
  • Each time a player dies for any reason (possibly also when a pet is killed)

Armor adds:
  • Spawn in hallway associated with armor type at UEE boss HP 50%, ...
  • Armors slowly path from hallway towards UEE boss.  If armor reaches boss it causes 375k AE and stun.
  • When armor 90% HP, bane X spells/abilities cause 6.5M bane damage
  • Armors do not hit back

An animated mephitElemental Madness - 30k DD + 10k MANA/ENDURANCE DRAIN
Effect - 1st Person: Your body and mind are wracked by elemental madness!
Notes:
- SNARE spells/abilities cause 195M bane damage

Protective Marks & Wing Areas

When boss reaches 70% HP every player in raid is hit with a random protective mark buff.

There are five protective marks and each is associated with a "wing" or hallway area of the zone.

Each player must react by moving to the correct hallway based on their protection mark buff.

Emotes indicate success or failure and when safe to return.

Failures result in player being hit by Elemental Incompatibility - 250k DD + MANA/END DRAIN 250k (single-target)

Success - Correct Hallway:
[Thu May 28 22:27:39 2020] You are in the correct wing with the matching Mark!

Success - Safe to Return:
[Thu May 28 23:27:50 2020] The marks of Flame, Breezes, Stone, Waves, and Animation fade.


Failure - Wrong Hallway:

Color Coordinated achievement description: Complete the raid without anyone being caught in a wing without the protective Mark.

Protective mark buffs all describe providing protective from harm in x wing of Mearatas.

Brief Event Overview

Trash up in zone.  Clearing for safety is ideal.

Proximity aggro on boss starts event.

Seneschal Radiant Propensity boss wild rampages.

At timed intervals Seneschal self buffs a short duration 50M HP Rune with a recourse Repercussions AE if enough damage occurs to drop the rune.  The Repercussion AE recourse kills phoenix and armor adds. 

There are two types of phoenix adds: Wildfire and Wind.  Each casts a different AE before being killed by the Repercussion AE.

A Wildfire phoenix casts Flames of Destruction - Caster PB 200k DD (30' range).  If this AE hits boss it will cause massive DAMAGE (145M~).  AE hits players for 200k.

A Wind phoenix casts Flames of Renewal - Caster PB Increase HP by 100k (30' range).  If this AE hits boss it will cause a massive HEAL (300M~).  AE heals players for 100k.

When Repercussion AE kills armor adds it strengthens the rank of the Repercussion AE.

Golems target random player locations and cast a visible ring on ground then AE damage that location and despawn.  Players avoid the ring to prevent AE damage.

Jopal, Vekerchiki, Triloun, Mephit adds cast a short range Fetid Blood DoT; massive mana/end drain.

Fire Giants are charmable.  Many of the adds mezzable.  Other event adds do not cast any spells.



Strategy

DO NOT USE AE DAMAGE OF ANY KIND

Boss positioned at door.

Entire raid position at boss location to minimize Wild Rampage damage.  Do not be near bridge or other area unless assigned to be.

Kiters assigned for wind phoenix and armor adds.  Kite counterclockwise, beyond the bridge.

Special kiter assigned for wildfire phoenix adds.  Kite in a tight loop to ensure the small range AE hits boss to cause damage.

Druid, Ranger or Enchanter assigned to PUNT/knockback the Slag Golem to keep it away.  Emoted players need to still react to trigger and run away.

ALL remaining adds not covered above to be MEZZED at raid.


DPS

- Pay attention to MA call when to DPS boss.



TANKS:

- ALL adds MEZZED at raid except for the following:
-- Phoenixes being kited
-- Armors being kited
-- Slag golem, punted (may need tank to snag to get off soft players, like Dark Elves, a weaker race...)

- Paladins, splash!


HEALERS:

- Disease Cure oriented spell lineup
-- Word of Greater Replenishment
-- GHoT with cure component
-- Etc.


ENCHANTERS:

- CHARM a fire giant lord and sick on boss.  Fire giant spawns south side.

- MEZ ALL adds at raid except for the following:
-- Phoenixes being kited
-- Armors being kited
-- Slag golem, punt away from raid


MA Kill Order: Boss on/off.

If it absorbs more than 50M damage during 30s it will explode casting Repercussions I - IV
Effect - 1st Person: Seneschal Radiant Propensity is surrounded by a bond of indemnity.
Emote: The Seneschal surrounds himself in a Bond of Indemnity.
Repercussions I - IV300k - 427k Caster PB (200' range)
Effect - 1st Person: You face the repercussions of breaking your bond.
   Notes:
Deals X fire damage to all targets in a large radius. 
Has unusual effects on animated armors and phoenixes.

Brief Event Overview

Upon zone in, depending on your faction, trash is KoS or non-kos just beyond the chamber.

This is a balance event involving three bosses.

Bosses located in different sections of the zone (middle, south and west).

Each boss has a mechanic to deal with.

Brief Overview of Bosses:

Sunshine Sensible Warmth - MIDDLE section of zone.  AURA spawns at location player emoted.  Directional AEs.

Feather Silver Sheen - SOUTH section of zone.  Spawns nilborien hawk adds.

Radiant Fog Evening - WEST section of zone.  AURA spawns at location player emoted.


Strategy

Clear trash during prep in middle section area. 

Clear connecting bridges leading to south and west sections.

Raid split three ways.

Each section assist their MA.


DPS

Balance event.  Keep a close eye on ETW to keep bosses within 2%.

Triggers indicate out of balance.  Adjust accordingly.  Raid suffers penalties when HP out of balance.


TANKS

MTO for each section when raid ready say "begin" to your assigned boss to trigger event.

Sunshine Sensible Warmth:
- When directional AE warning trigger fires turn boss to ensure AE does not hit raid
- Move boss as needed to avoid AURA
- Keep your bearings, boss leashed to area

Feather Silver Sheen:
- Aggro Nilborien hawk adds until they are CHARMED or MEZZED

Radiant Fog Evening:
- Move boss as needed to avoid AURA
- Keep your bearings, boss leashed to area


HEALERS

Sunshine Sensible Warmth:
- Straight forward healing
- No cures required

Feather Silver Sheen:
- Mix in group heal with cure component to remove Planar Venom poison DoT on players
- Single-target Corruption cure only - to remove Gouging Strike on players.  You get hit with a 125k DD when you cure it.
- Do not use a group corruption cure!  You risk curing multiple players with DoT in group and get hit with multiple 125k DDs!
- OK to use Purity Ward AA and single-target cure AAs


Radiant Fog Evening:
- Curse Cures.  Takes 36 counters to remove Suffocating Breeze from players (DT if it duration fades on player)
- Mix in group heal with cures
- Use Purity Ward AA, etc.


ENCHANTERS & BARDS

Nilborien hawk adds spawn at Feather Silver Sheen boss.

Charm the hawk adds and sick them on boss.

The hawk is killed a short time later by Feather boss.

MEZ extra hawks until able to charm.


MA Kill Order: Balance kill bosses simultaneously.  MA1 use /rs to direct adjustments.

All three bosses must be balanced within 2%~ HP.  Separate emotes indicate level severity when out of balance.  Penalty incurred for out of balance.

SLIGHTLY- The Palace Guardians are slightly out of balance. You are assailed by pain and suffering!
MODERATELY- The Palace Guardians are moderately out of balance. You are assailed by pain and suffering! Their life forces are restored!
DRASTICALLY- The Palace Guardians are DRASTICALLY out of balance. You are assailed by pain and suffering! Their life forces are restored! They each execute their special attacks!



Sunshine Sensible Warmth

MIDDLE section of zone.

AURA spawns at location player emoted.  Directional AEs.

- Increases damage taken by 500% to 1000% by Lashing Blades directional AEs (Lashing BladesLeft, Right, Rear)

Brief Event Overview

Triggered event located at zoneline door to Aalishai.  Speaking with both NPCs starts event.

The Conflagration Generals are: Smiting Relentless Shard and Glorious Battleworn Monolith

Generals have various emotes that indicate locations and actions; such as moving generals far apart, near each other, to bridge, towers, etc.

Balance both bosses within 2%~ HP.

Whorling wildfire adds spawn at emoted player locations.

Jopal blazebomber adds spawn in the two nearby towers.  Blazebombers cast a Target AE.


Strategy

Know your group number.

Raid split by group number and divided between both bosses. 

Balance both bosses within 2%~ HP.

Use STUNS on whorling wildfire adds to cause massive damage.

Kill Team assigned for Jopal Blazebomber Adds in Towers.  One group per tower.  Blazebombers spawn approximately 3 mins after event begins and 45s~ intervals onward.

Kill Team for Jopal Blazebomber Adds in Towers:

Tower Add Kill team for Blazebomers located at top of towers.

Towers located NORTH and SOUTH with a bridge connecting a narrow valley.

Using our Prince Ralaifin in-game map markers are labeled as Tower 4 and Tower 5.

When a Jopal Blazebomber spawns, immediately engage and kill it as quickly as possible.

Blazebomber adds cast a Target AE that hits portions of the raid.


Tanks - Moving Generals

Tanks move Generals based on emotes.

Emotes occur at 1 min~ intervals.

General moves must be done in 10 to 12 seconds or FAILURE AE penalty occurs.  AE damage increases in ranks for subsequent failures.

Following a SUCCESS emote, tanks return to base camp with your General.

Our short naming convention for referring to each General is as follows:

SHARD= Smiting Relentless Shard
MONOLITH= Glorious Battleworn Monolith

Main Tanks for SHARD and MONOLITH respectively have designated NORTH and SOUTH locations to use unless logical combinations come into play.

Examples of logical combinations requiring adjustment below.

Example 1 - BRIDGE FAR APART:

Brief Event Overview

Trash up in zone.  Some clearing for safety is ideal.

Proximity aggro on any boss starts event.

Four Ralaifin bosses and each has various AEs and emotes.

Ralaifin HP locks at 20% and goes invulnerable.

Ralaifin must remain in their respective AURA.  If leashed become invulnerable and massive HP regen.

Players emoted - Run away, target AE at player location.

Several spiderlings spawn shortly after rapture emote.

Volcanic Billow Shard mechanic to unlock HP on Ralaifin related to clicking shards that drop from each boss, one shard click per towers throughout zone.


Strategy

Main Raid:

Be careful not to aggro a boss when reacting to run away emotes.

Target AE Emotes - AE AROUND PLAYER EMOTED - Player run away from raid.

Engage and DPS Ecclesiastic to 30% and STOP.

Raid engages next boss in order and raid repeats actions above.

SWITCH targets immediately when MA calls to do so.  Light emote from a boss indicates one to DPS in order to stop AE.

Rangers, Enchanters and Wizards kill spider adds that spawn.

Let spider adds PATH TO THE RAID -- Do not pull them otherwise they can accidentally aggro a nearby boss.

Shards that drop from bosses are picked by assigned shard clickers.  Shard clicked at each tower.


Tanks:
- Keep your Ralaifin IN AURA
- Do NOT pretarget your Ralaifin.  A Cleric may accidentally use a ToT on you which is Heal-to-Damage that will early aggro a Ralaifin on your target
- Do not pull spider adds from afar, otherwise they can accidentally aggro a nearby boss.


Healers: Avoid Heal-to-Damage spells to prevent accidentally hitting a tank that has a boss targeted resulting in early aggro on that boss.


MA Kill Order: Ecclesiastic (burn on engage), Sacerdot, Oblate, Theologist -- MA immediately switch to boss that does Light emote, to stop AE.


Tower Adds & Shard Clicks:

Tower Add Killing Team - Moves to each tower starting NW and working clockwise around the zone killing both adds at each tower.

Assigned Shard Clicker.  Player picks up shards as they drop from boss and clicks one at each tower.

Details of NPCs/Mechanics


Volcanic Billow Shard - Mechanic Details

Ralaifin HP lock at 20%.  Shards drop from each boss and one shard must be clicked in each tower throughout the zone to unlock HP on all the bosses.

Throughout the zone are towers.  Upon engage of the event (or when shard drops), two adds spawn outside a tower.

Ralaifin bosses drop one or more Volcanic Billow Shard click item at 65%~ and 33%~ HP.

Click Notes:
  • Shard must be clicked at top of a tower
  • Click doesn't work unless tower adds dead
  • Shard cannot be used on the same tower twice

Shard drop emote: One of Ralaifin's remnants shudders and a Volcanic Billow Shard falls to the ground.

Click Success - At top of a tower: The Volcanic Billow Shard crumbles and a wave of energy thrums outward, collected by the tower, which hums in apparent contentment.'

Click Success - Upon final shard click in tower - HP on bosses unlocked: The prayers to Prince Ralaifin falter.

Click Failure - Adds up still: 'an entity attached to this tower interferes'

Click Failure - Not at up top of a tower: The Volcanic Billow shard feels grounded where you are.  Perhaps you need to gain some perspective'

Click failure - Tower already on: already empowered'



Towers & Adds

Seven towers located throughout the zone.

Towers have adds.

Adds do not see invis.

Adds hit for 7k - 18k~ and cast various spells.

Adds despawn when event resets.


Add types:
  • a jopal soldier
  • an inferno flare

Number & Time Adds Spawn: 14 adds spawn in pairs outside each tower when initial shard fallen emote fires at 65% HP of first Ralaifin boss engaged.



Ralaifin Bosses

All Ralaifin bosses have the ability to emote and cast Ralaifin's Light - Caster PB AE 225k DD + 8500 MANA DRAIN (1000' range).

Ralaifin's Light is preceded by a warning emote in shout: Ralaifin Soandso shouts, 'The light! The heat!'

A flash on screen in-game emote occurs as: Ralaifin Soandso fills with holy light. He will be wrathful until that light dims!

When the light emote fires DPS needs to be applied to that boss in order to turn off the AE.

The AE stops when boss emotes: Ralaifin Soandso shouts, 'The light leaves me!'

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Event is triggered.  No trash to clear.

When triggered Silverwing and Xygoz spawn and attack.

This event involves two main dragons Silvering and Xygoz.  Each dragon has guardian adds which cause some chaos.

A DoT reset/removal mechanic is in play as a "metal cloud" effect with ranks from I to V.

Ancient wurms spawn and path towards dragons.  Penalties occur if a wurm reaches a dragon.


Metal Cloud Mechanic

Each dragon utters a curse periodically.  The curse casts a metal cloud DoT.

There are two different metal cloud DoTs, and each has ranks 1 through 5 (I - V).

A metal cloud DoT ramps up, increasing rank the over time or some other factor, perhaps subsequent curse uttering of same type.

The DoTs do not stack with each other on a player.  The metal cloud DoT of one type is removed when a player is hit with the opposite metal cloud effect, as the lore is emoted: The metal cloud of one dragon appears to cleanse the cloud of the other.

When the metal cloud of one dragon hits the other, it causes the opposing dragon power up, as emoted: The metallic cloud makes the opposing dragon stronger!


Ancient Wurms:

The two ancient wurms are silver and gold.

Silver wurm spawns in front of the EAST door.  It then begins to path down SOUTH or NORTH side of the room towards west end, then turns and heads up the other side.

Golden wurm spawns SOUTH hallway and then paths north.

Each wurm has a specific AE with visual effects.  Silver wurm has a lightning effect and Golden casts a viral AE.  In addition, devastation results if a wurm reaches a dragon.  For example, an ancient golden wurm that reaches Xygoz will cast a large explosive AE DD.


Silverwing:

Casts FRONT and TAIL AEs and has a PULL effect.

Silverwing spawns a Guardian of Silverwing add that has a PUSH + Knockback.


Xygoz:

Casts FRONT and SIDE AEs and a single-target DoT + STUN/SPIN + BLIND.

Xygoz spawns a Guardian of Xygoz add that has a Poisonous Cloud DoT AURA.  Guardian also casts a frontal AE DD + Knockback.


Guardian Adds Tether:

Both dragon guardians have a tether mechanic restricting how far it can be moved away from it's dragon.  When the tether activates an emote fires and the guardian resets from ETW and target and warps back to it's dragon.



Strategy

Metal Cloud:

IMPORTANT - READ THIS!

The "metal cloud" DoT reset/removal mechanic is similar to a Seeds of Destruction (SoD) expansion event we did years ago.  Players end up with different DoT ranks due to when they get the DoT and it ramps up in rank and it's up to each player to remove their own DoT in order to survive.

Best way to explain this is with an example.  As mentioned already, the DoT ranks are: I - V (rank 1 through 5).

Let's say you have "Silver Metal Cloud - I".  It ramps up to 2nd rank "Silver Metal Cloud - II", and so on.  To remove the DoT, you need to move to the other dragon (Xygoz in this example), and you'll get hit by the AE over there which removes your metal cloud DoT.

If you do not reset the rank on your metal cloud beyond rank II, you'll die most likely before reaching the other dragon.  Therefore you cannot just wait for the rank to cycle back down to rank 1 (from 5).

This also means MT for both dragons need to tank swap when their DoT is too high of a rank (like rank 2 or 3).

Furthermore, both Silverwing and Xygoz dragons need to die CLOSE to the same TIME, because both dragons are needed to cure (remove) each respective metal cloud dot.  Killing one dragon long before the other and players with the opposite metal cloud DoT will have no way to remove the DoT and it'll ramp up in ranks and they will die.

Trigger package has overlay with timer and voice explaining which rank you have on and warns you accordingly.


Moving from Dragon to Dragon:

When you need to move to the other dragon to cure the metal cloud DoT, be aware of the directional AE's in play.

It helps to use your leap AA ability to traverse a distance quickly to the other dragon.  This helps especially in the case of moving from Silverwing to Xygoz, due to Silverwing PULL AE at timed intervals it can end up pulling you back when you take too long to move outside the pull effect range.


Assignments:

Assignments by group number to different areas.  Refer to diagram for location.

MAP file with markers available further in the post.  Use the map locations to help avoid AEs and for identifying your assigned placed to be.  Tank positions also marked accordingly.

MELEE DPS

Assist MA1 as follows:

Melee start out by killing "A Guardian of Silverwing" being tanked EAST end, close to Silverwing.

Melee then move WEST side and kill "A Guardian of Xygoz.

Melee then DPS Xygoz.

Note your positioning on diagram once at Xygoz area.  A red line has been added to in-game map to indicate PULL limit from Silverwing.

Dimbly reported Xygoz seemed to take more damage from COLD.


Silver Wurm Intercept & Kill Team

Assist MA2 as follows:

Priority kill an ancient silver wurm IMMEDIATELY!

Do not get on the hatelist of Silverwing and Xygoz and you will avoid getting Metal Cloud DoT

When Silver wurm is dead, when Golden wurm spawns, go help kill it over at south door location.

Be mindful of positioning on diagram to avoid the PULL from Silverwing.  A red line has been added to in-game map to indicate PULL limit from Silverwing.

Notes:
- Silver wurm is non-aggro (does not hit back).
- Dimbly reported Silverwing took more damage from FIRE.


Golden Wurm Intercept & Kill Team

Assist MA3 as follows:

Priority kill an ancient golden wurm IMMEDIATELY!

Do not get on the hatelist of Silverwing and Xygoz and you will avoid getting Metal Cloud DoT

Tank - Face Golden wurm WEST when engaged, to prevent VIRAL DoT from hitting others.

Healers include a group heal with CURES in event Spreading Flames VIRAL DoT ends up on your group.

TANKS

Tank Silverwing NORTH.  Face Silverwing NORTH so that FRONT and TAIL AEs do not hit main raid.

Tank Xygoz WEST.  Face Xygoz WEST to ensure FRONT and SIDE AEs avoid main raid.


Tank - A guardian of Silverwing, position it east side of the dragon.  Casts an AE DD PUSH.

Tank - A Guardian of Xygoz as indicated on diagram and face it NORTH to avoid Frontal AE hitting others nearby.

Reminder: Both guardians will tether and disappear from ETW/target, warp back to their dragon if moved too far away.


Tank - Face an ancient golden wurm WEST when engaged, to prevent VIRAL DoT from hitting others.


HEALERS

BE NEAR YOUR GROUP!

Maintain GHoT on your group at all times.  If multiple Clerics in a group, work out who will cover GHoT in advance during prep.

Cast splash heal between direct healing and group heals.

Shaman, be aware when Guardian of Xygoz has an AURA and that your MELEE will be in taking DoT damage as a result.  Be ready for this with your GHoT running and group heals + splashes.

Healers include a group heal with CURES in event Spreading Flames VIRAL DoT ends up on your group.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Event is triggered.  Trash can be cleared from room before triggering event.  Event is timed.

Venril Sathir (VS) goes active on event start.

Venril Sathir emotes player with mesmerizing gaze - Player needs to run away or everyone nearby is hit by Sathir's Mesmerization 300k DD + STUN (Target AE, 35' range). 

Mesmerizing Gaze emoted - Run to middle/center of room when emoted.  Orange ring appears around player emoted.

Venril Sathir - At 20% HP Rile Sathir spawns.

Rile spawns Spirits and Hexbone adds at HP/timed intervals.

Rile HP LOCKS at 5%.

Rile HP is on a 20 minute reset timer.

Drusella Sathir appears and disappears throughout the event.

Drusella appears with it's blue damage AURA - EMOTES a player then CHASES THAT PLAYER.  Emoted player RUN AWAY until Drusella stops chasing (emote notifies when chasing stops).

EMOTE FAILURE: IF PERSON BEING CHASED IS HIT BY AURA, then Drusella emotes the player and does a PULL AE effect: Pull of the Demi Lich.  Anyone caught in the PULL area of 125' range will die usually as a result of being in her AURA at that point.


Strategy:

Tight formation - Raid SHIFTING between TWO CAMPFIRES - WEST and EAST.  We start at West.

When Drusella warns she is about to respawn we SHIFT to the other camp using /rs announce calls (make sure you have our Generic Raid triggers).

Drusella emoted players use SOUTH AREA TO KITE Drusella and do not let her aura hit you.

DPS Venril Sathir to 20% then Rile Sathir spawns.  VS despawns then returns a short time later.

Mages, Necros and Enchanters DPS Rile Sathir until Venril Sathir respawns then immediately switch to Venril Sathir (remember to switch your pets to VS too).

Necros DoT both Rile and Venril Sathir (when VS up), unless Rile HP at 5% (locked), then stay on VS.

MELEE DPS ASSIST MA on ADDS.  Keep pace.

AE DAMAGE is OK and encouraged.

Tanking Venril Sathir and Rile and adds at same location.  When raid shifts, tanks drag bosses + adds together to other spot.  Rinse/repeat.

Kill Venril Sathir first then Rile 5% HP unlocks, then kill Rile to complete event.

Tanks:

Tanks for VS and Rile - Your tank spots change due to shifting of raid between two spots: West and East.  We start out West.

MTO for both VS and Rile, tank them together.  When raid shifts, you shift with the raid and drag your boss to other spot.

Add tanks - Pickup Spirits and Hexbone adds and tank at raid location.  Drag your adds when raid shifts spots.


Healers: DO NOT USE CURES

Do not use the following spells/AA:
- Radiant Cure (RC AA), Purify AA, Group Purification
- Ward of Purity AA
- Cleric Epic
- Renewal heal line (contains cures)
- Group Heal with cures (i.e: do not use Word of Greater Replenishment)
- Group Heal-Over-Time (GHoT) with cures (i.e: do not use Sincere Aquittal)


Clerics - Some spells you can swap in place of above:
- OK to use the following group heals: Word of Soothing and Syllable of Soothing
- OK to use the following group HoT: Elixir of Transcendence
- OK to use AA Divine Arbritration
- OK to use Exquisite Benediction AA
- OK to use Remedy line, Promised Restoration line.

If in doubt, right click any spell and look at description to determine if it cures.  If still not sure, ask in FLHeals channel.

You should have a standard "NO CURES" spell set saved for these types of events.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Some zone trash is non-kos, but not all.  Trash can roam near ZL and aggro.  Trash does not see-invis. 

Corpses reset at zone line.

We must engage all four bosses immediately or random players are summoned.  Event will reset if any boss not reengaged quickly enough.

Upon triggering event two trial areas go active: Trial of Three and Trial of the Eternal Cyclone.

Trial of Three:

- South-West area on map.
- Three mephits spawn, one per room.
- Each mephit has a unique player emote.  when emoted, run to the marked location accordingly.

Mephits HP must be balanced within 8%~ of each other.

Setup:

- A group number is assigned to each mephit.
- Remaining groups are assigned to the cyclone trial area.  When cyclone trial finishes, those groups join mephit groups assigned by group to room and mephit name.

Trial of Three MA Kill order: All three mephits must be balanced - Pay attention to ETW and MA calls for adjusts.





Trial of the Eternal Cyclone:

- West (SWish) area on map.
- Spawns Disappointed Heart`s Torrent at the top of the spiral ramp.

Torrent boss is invulnerable when adds are alive.  Adds combine together if not engaged quickly enough.

Kill adds priority, then DPS cyclone in between adds.

Tank adds South-West (SW) area down below. 

Tanks pick up adds immediately or they'll combine within 2-3 seconds.

Torrent boss tanked up top of spiral platform.  MT position boss near opening to platform to ensure players have line-of-sight.

Casters and Rangers position up TOP OF RAMP near platform opening, allowing for line-of-sight on Torrent boss AND SW adds down below.

Healers - Position top of platform but away from SW ramp edge, to allow room for DPS who need line-of-sight at SW ramp area.

Eggs & Phoenix Adds:

- Priority kill: "a phoenix supernova" -- If an egg does emote a player, destroy "An egg"
- Trackers, "a phoenix supernova" was reported as showing on track.

Setup:

- Bulk of raid by group number assigned to cyclone trial area.

Phoenix adds lay eggs and eggs emote players.  Eggs explode with an AE DD if not destroyed.  Killing the phoenix prevents eggs and stops emotes.

This area goes active at the same time as Trial of Three area.

When event resets, if a prisoner died, it doesn't appear back at gate in north area.  This may or may not matter for /ach Rescue Rangers, where the objective is to keep the prisoners alive.  Perhaps the script initially has them up on fresh instance, then following a wipe/reset they'll spawn again once event triggered.

Upon entering zone, north down path to gate is a subsumed efreeti lord.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Friendly coldain citizens need protection from waves of giants.  If too many citizens die the event resets.

Each stage has a Giant miniboss with a special mechanic along with AEs and adds.

There are static miniboss spawn locations throughout the zone.  Each miniboss spawns at one of the locations randomly for each stage.

Preliminary map with locations is included further down in this post.  An assigned tracker will call the location where giants spawned and everyone runs to the spot.


Stage 1: Koldan Wallbreaker

Stay inside the BLUE RING.

Players targeted by a series of emotes.  When emoted, make sure you are inside the BLUE RING area and get close to Koldan Wallbreaker.  If you die outside the blue ring, "a restless hero" penalty add spawns.

CC:

- Mez wolves (a restless dire wolf)
- Charm any restless hero's and send to attack Koldan Wallbreaker


Tanks:

- 4x "a restless Kromrif"
- Wolves mezzed until time to kill


Stage 2: Darikan the Ancient

Darikan goes active and de-active.  When inactive the adds spawn.  Kill the adds to re-activate Darikan.  Rinse/repeat.

Changes to the Freelance Loot System
(October 2019)

Back in July 2016, we began discussions to resolve long standing issues with our loot system and better serve the team long term.  After the dust settled, a replacement framework materialized.

It's taken a few years to develop, test and implement the system, but we're finally ready to go live.

Benefits of the loot system changes:
  • Distributes items more quickly
  • Item distribution that increases overall team power more effectively
  • Easy to understand

The new system takes effect on October 31, 2019.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Three groups of adds are up before event start.  Adds are South-East, West, North; not active but targetable.

When event is triggered a group activates.  We start with the South-East (SE) group of adds.

After all adds have been killed, two minibosses spawn: "Interminable Lightness of Being" (EAST) and "Sparing Heart`s Flame" (WEST).  Know your group number for this stage.

Once Interminable and Sparing die, "Wafting Heat Aftermath" miniboss spawns.

When Wafting Heat Aftermath dies, "Effortless Eruption of Spirit" miniboss spawns.  This miniboss spawns adds of random type.


Stage 1: Add waves

Reminders:
  • Except for the initial wave of adds; given we start with SE, the remaining West and North activate in random order
  • Adds are shuffled each event reset and not static.  Do not rely on /tar add_name0#
  • Inferno adds cast a big AE DoT + Blind on PLAYER corpses - Take rez quickly if you die please

The first two waves are timed.  The last wave we leave TWO adds alive for a brief breather to rez/rebuff any dead players and prepare for the miniboss stage.

Groups of adds located South East (SE), West and North.

CC: Enchanters MEZ - Inferno adds.

Assigned tanks for: Flame and Jopal adds.  Additional tank depending on setup assigned for Inferno adds to help CC and tank when time to kill.

Assigned point deflect/fort tank for each group of adds.

Tanks:

Do not use /tar add_name0# for your assignment.

Add assigns: Facing each cardinal location (SE, West, North), your assigned mob is from left to right as it relates to your assign order.

Example:

a_jopal_soldier - Soandso, Clown, PieFace, Rabidpanda

Soandso would set ETW accordingly; while facing SE, West, North, the first jopal on the LEFT.

Clown takes 2nd jopal from left.  PieFace takes 3rd, and Rabidpanda takes 4th jopal (not all areas have a 4th).

Deflect / Fort tanks:

We begin with SE location.  Deflect tank triggers by targeting a jopal and using the keyword: destroy.

There is a six second delay before the event begins from time of triggering.

Beyond the initial wave either WEST or NORTH will activate.  Each assigned deflect tank make sure you are in position before the next wave activates.


Healers:

Avoid Heal-to-Nuke spells, to prevent accidentally breaking MEZ on inferno adds that tanks/CC may have targeted.



Stage 2: Minibosses - "Interminable Lightness of Being" & "Sparing Heart`s Flame"

Two minibosses spawn: "Interminable Lightness of Being" (EAST) and "Sparing Heart`s Flame" (WEST).

Random type adds spawn in pairs; one per miniboss.  When only one miniboss alive only one add spawns.

BURN EAST miniboss: Interminable Lightness of Being

While EAST boss is alive:

Enchanters MEZ Infernos during east boss.

Bards CHARM Flames and sick on east boss.

Tanks OT Jopals.

When East boss dies, assist MA to clean up the adds.

Applying sustained DPS to WEST miniboss (Sparing Heart`s Flame) by assigned groups -- Know your group number please.

Tanks: Tank your miniboss where it spawns.

Stage 3: Miniboss - Wafting Heat Aftermath

Casts a line of sight (LoS) AE Lingering Heat - 190k DD + MANA DRAIN (Caster PB, 750' AE range).

Casters & Healers - Hide behind the nearby trees. 

Casters come out into line of sight to DPS between the AE casts; trigger reminds you when AE is incoming.

Healers - Stay behind tree and position so that you're able to Splash to hit the raid just after the AE fires; trigger reminds you when AE is about to fire.

Stage 2 - Minibosses - Interminable Lightness of Being & Sparing Heart`s Flame

Two minibosses spawn when all adds from stage 1 are dead.

Spawn message: Two rivals appear, willing to crush all their enemies between them!

Random type adds spawn in pairs; one per miniboss.  When only one miniboss alive only one add spawns.

Both minibosses require damage to some degree otherwise their spells are cast more quickly.  Message on screen: Your opponent grows frustrated by lack of a real fight. Since it is note being harmed, it takes the time to cast its spells faster.

Interminable Lightness of Being   Flammable - Increase Spell Damage Taken by 99% to 100% (24s, single-target)
(EAST)   1st person: You are ready to burn!
   1st person: You are now vulnerable to flames!
   
Note: Targets 10 players at a time.
   
   On Fire - 181k DD + 181k DoT (24s, single-target)
   1st person: You are very much on fire.
   
* Action: Players with On Fire DoT - Run away from raid (to designated run-to location) - Return when On Fire DoT has faded.
   
Note: Targets up to 3 players at a time at 40s intervals.

Notes:
- Targets 10 players at a time.
- Debuff is Limit Type Beneficial, Cleric nuke-to-heal spells should work to heal target if MT has this debuff on.
   
Hidden NPC for mechanic   Contentious Detonation - Caster PB AE 246k DD + MANA DRAIN + Push Back/Up (250' range)
   1st person: A fierce explosion knocks you back.
   
* Mechanic: Contentious Detonation targets locations of players with On Fire DoT.  Players with Flammable debuff
are highly susceptible to damage and will be killed when hit by Contentious Detonation.
   
Action: Players with On Fire DoT - Run away from raid (to designated run-to location) - Return when On Fire DoT has faded.
   
Side Note: There may be a threshold/avoidance to this mechanic where Contentious Detonation doesn't fire unless
x players near person with "On Fire" DoT.



Stage 3 - Miniboss - Wafting Heat Aftermath

Spawns when previous stage minibosses are dead.

Spawn message: An ancient elemental of pure fire appears, prepared to burn everything to the ground!

Wafting Heat Aftermath   Lingering Heat - 190k DD + MANA DRAIN (Caster PB, 750' AE range)
   Message: The temperature rises beyond tolerance.
   
Notes:
- Line of Sight (nearby tress will block AE)
- AE fires at 15s intervals



Stage 4 - Miniboss - Effortless Eruption of Spirit

Spawns when previous stage miniboss is dead.

Adds spawn of random type.

Spawn message: With a great rumble, a giant appears!

Effortless Eruption of Spirit   Breaching Burst - 189k DD + DoT + AC debuff (Caster PB, 280' range)
   
Warning emote 10s: Effortless Eruption of Spirit begins to glow with power.
   Lands on you message: Flames burn both you and your armor.
   
Note: AE fires at 45s intervals
   
   Fiery Grasp - Target AE 222k + STUN (50' AE range)
   Message: A massive hand grabs and holds you with fire.
   
Notes:
- Target AE around player.
- AE fires at 45s intervals.



Start event

Upon entering zone there are zone trash mobs that are indifferent.

The event area is just over the bridge from zone-in where the three groups of mobs are located.

Keyword to trigger event (only a jopal responds): destroy

When event triggered the group of mobs at that location activates after six seconds.


Lore:

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

When event starts the entry door to the room locks.

Drusella Sathir has an AURA DD, targets players by name and paths towards their location emoted.  Adjust position to avoid her AURA.

25 minute timed event.

Stage 1: Add Waves

We have 3 minutes, 35 seconds to complete the stage before next stage goes active.

Various adds spawn when we enter event area.

Avoid being caught in the animated bladestorm Whirlwind Slash AE - Warning trigger will emote when it's incoming for melee to back away.  Colorful rings appear around mob when AE in effect.  Bladestorms root themselves when their Whirlwind Slash AE fires allowing tanks to easily back out to avoid the damage and then re-engage.

Casters randomly emoted by ancient skull mobs.  When emoted, tank the mob (it hits weak, 3k - 12k).  Do not fade!  You won't have to hold aggro, the mob will stay on you even with Necros DoTing.


Tanks:

Bladestorms:
  • Position Bladestorms North-West (NW) side of the room
  • Bladestorms root themselves when their Whirlwind Slash AE fires allowing tanks to easily back out to avoid the damage and then re-engage

An ancient skull: Don't tank these, leave them be.  Skulls target a caster player by emote and that person tanks it.

An animated cudgel: Position them South-West (SW) side of the room.


MA Kill Order: Skulls, Cudgels then Bladestorms.

Necros focus on the Bladestorms to be most effective.


Stage 2: Goos and Haunts

We have 3 minutes, 40 seconds to complete the stage before next stage goes active.

One of the mechanics in play for this stage involves haunted bones and a glob of goo.  While these mobs are alive they spawn adds continuously.

Haunted bones and goos are susceptible FIRE or COLD spells as follows:

A pile of haunted bones-->USE FIRE DAMAGE SPELLS
A glob of goo-->USE COLD DAMAGE SPELLS

The glob of goo spawns little goo adds targeted at random players.  The goos path slowly towards the player.

Everyone optimize spell lineup accordingly for this stage.


Tanks:

Position Spirits North-West (NW) side of the room.

Position Hexbone and Gnawer adds South-West (SW) side of the room.


Coffin Traps:

Rogue by assign needs to lockpick the trap or we'll suffer a penalty setting it off.  There's an achievement to this effect.

Tomb: a shuddering crypt

There are also baskets that spawn gnawer adds.  But we keep one basket up to prevent Golems from activating.


Stage 3: Golems

SIX golems around the room activate when coffins and barrels (baskest) are down.

Trigger warns 4-5 seconds before golems go active.

Everyone:

- RANGE DPS GOLEMS ONLY.  This helps prevent Drusella ending up at a Golem tank position and everyone avoids the golem AE + Pull effect.
- INNER SHIFT as marked in the diagram.  The golems AE prevents shifting using the outer area as normal.

Tanks:

- Position Golem as indicated (download map for markers).
- During Bones/Goos stage the golems become targetable.  Ensure you set your assigned golem in ETW accordingly before golems activate.
- Be in your TANK SPOT and pull the golem to you, otherwise the golem will pull you to it making it impossible to move while pull is in effect.




Stage 4: Sarnak - Di`Zok

Three named Sarnak Di`Zok enter the room from the west and attack (Athises, Bhaleus, Deutocia)

Killing the three Di`Zok completes the event.

When the final Sarnak named is slain Tomb Rot is removed automatically: [Thu Mar 26 22:30:24 2020] The Tomb Rot fades.

Kill order doesn't matter unless going for Serial Sarnak Killer achievement.

Drusella Sathir

Has an AURA - Curse of the Vault - 196k DD + Mana/Endurance drain 8666

Targets players by name at 45 second intervals and paths to them.

Drusella Sathir shouts, 'I can't see you, but I can sense you... I'm coming for you, Soandso...'
Drusella Sathir shouts, 'So close I can almost taste you... I'm coming for you, Soandso!'


Adds

Various adds spawn throughout event.

An ancient skull   Bite from the Beyond - 300k DD (single-target)
   Panic - Fear + Snare - Target AE (10' range) - 4 targets
   
   * Notes:
   If mob's target isn't a caster class it'll cast Bite from the Beyond and kill its target.
   It'll then seek out a caster by a 1st person emote only.  See example below when I was targeted.
    
   Action: When you're emoted, just tank it -- Do not fade!  Hits weak on purpose, 3k - 12k range. 
You won't have to hold aggro from others, it'll stay on you even with Necros DoTing it.
