Brief Event Overview

Event is triggered by speaking with King Tormax.  No trash to clear.  30 minute timer.

Derakor the Vindicator paths in and attacks.

At various times Restless crystals spawn.  Immune to melee damage and if not killed in time spawns penalty restless golem add.

Derakor randomly targets players with a curse.

Various adds spawn at 5%~ HP intervals.


Strategy

Casters DPS crystals.  Melee immune.

When curse emoted, run away.


Tanks:
- Giants, golems, wolves
- Wolves mezzable
- Crystals do not hit back

- Paladins, splash when trigger says, to remove Treachery of Ice.  Otherwise players with effect will be charmed when it fades.

The Tower of Frozen Shadow - T2 - Tserrina Syl'Tor

Brief Event Overview

Event is triggered.  No trash to clear.  25 minute timer.

Event takes place on 8th level of Tower of Frozen Shadow.  From ZL go all the way north and take hallway on the right and click mirror.

Tserrina Syl'Tor boss starts out inactive.

Six shrouded bats spawn and attack.  When a bat dies, an enraged vampire spawns.  Boss activates.

Adds charm players.

At various HP%, mirror image emotes occur and shadow reflection adds spawn.  One of the adds is a doppelganger of an emoted player.

Various run away style emotes in play during event.


Strategy

Assist MA.

Kill bats to spawn vampires.  When only vampires up, then kill.

When red ring around you, move away from raid.

DPS boss until shadow reflection adds spawn.  Kill the one that looks like player emoted (same race model)

Move away when friends/enemies emote occurs (trigger notifies).

Let raid know your race if mirror image trigger fires for you.


Tanks:
- When bat dies pick up the vampire that spawns


Healers: TBA


MA Kill Order/Notes:
- Bats until all vampires, then kill
- Mirror adds, kill the special reflection one that looks like player emoted (same race model)

The Tower of Frozen Shadow - T2 - Till Death Do Us Part

Brief Event Overview

Event is triggered.  No trash to clear.  20 minute timer.

Event takes place on 5th level of Tower of Frozen Shadow.  From ZL go all the way north and take hallway on the right and click mirror.

Four bosses affiliated with bride: Eugie, Lerty, Tihgren, Vyakna

Four bosses affiliated with groom: Otdd, Pelpa, Uenlarc, Varjie

Each time a boss is killed either Daman or Nosja HP drop by 5% depending on the affiliation of boss that was killed.

When a boss is killed it respawns shortly after.

Players emoted that the usher requires their attention.  Players must move to a golem usher, target the usher and follow keyword dialog.  As a result of the dialog the player will receive one of two debuffs indicating which side the player is affiliated with (Bride's Side or Groom's Side).  Player must then move to the opposite side affiliated with and focus their attention towards defeating those wedding party bosses.

Failure to speak with usher in a timely fashion when emoted results in a undead Dancer add penalty.  In addition, player that failed is dragged around the outer ring of event area by Dancer.

Being on the wrong side (ie, opposite of affiliation) results in death by a Target AE 109k DD (Ire of the Bride or Doom from the Groom).  The DD is amplified by 2500%+ due to the bride/groom debuff on player.



Strategy

Players emoted move to golem usher, use keyword, get debuff, move to proper side, assist and kill opposing wedding party bosses.

Dancer penalty add for each player usher emoted that does not speak with usher in a timely fashion.

When you're already affiliated and you die, once rez'd, you need to re-hail the Usher to become affiliated again.  Not doing so results in a dancer add.

Dancer adds disrupt the raid and SLOW US DOWN when we have to kill them.  The event is TIMED.

Only tanks assigned to bosses are exempt from usher emote.  If you're not assigned to tank then you're not special.

All other players docked 5 DKP for each usher emote they fail.  Fail two emotes, get benched.  Fail three get removed from the raid.

You can be emoted MORE THAN ONE TIME during the event.  Expect it to happen and be ready.


Usher Emote Setup:

Setup a keyword hotkey using one of the examples below:

Example 1:

/tar a_golem_usher

/pause 5

/say Show me to my side


Example 2: With pause on same line

/tar a_golem_usher

/pause 5, /say Show me to my side


When emoted by usher, move to "a golem usher", target the golem and use your keyword hotkey and you get a debuff.

Triggers will fire when usher emotes you as well as when you are debuffed; letting you know the SIDE TO MOVE TO and WHAT TO KILL (Zombies or Mummies).


Staggers Emote & Bane Damage Opportunity using Mez:

Use MEZ to bane damage bosses that stagger emote.  Trigger will fire notifying boss that "staggers".  Mez bane against staggers bosses reportedly stops the staggering.

Example: SOMEBOSS staggers, overwhelmed with the enormity of the day's events.

Note: Reportedly bosses resisting things that should not be resistible.



Tanks:
- Tanks assigned to Bride affiliated bosses
- Tanks assigned to Groom affiliated bosses
- Tanks for bosses keep your respective boss on the correct side of room
- Have a target hotkey at the ready to pickup your boss when it respawns


Healers: TBA


MA Kill Order/Notes:
- Dancers - If no dancers up, work bosses on X/Y side as discussed during prep/TBA
- Alternate between Bride and Groom bosses to delay activation of the Bride/Groom as late as possible to avoid having to tank it until necessary

The Tower of Frozen Shadow - T2 - Heart of Frozen Shadow

Brief Event Overview

Proper footwear required in Tower of Frozen Shadow due to large amount of ice on floor.  Safety first.

Event is triggered.  No trash to clear.  20 minute timer.

Event area takes place on first level of Tower of Frozen Shadow.  The zone-in area counts as event area.  The boss; Heart of the Frozen Shadow, is located in middle area hovering over the pit.  The surrounding rooms are also part of the event area.

When event is triggered Heart of Frozen Shadow does not attack and is immune from conventional forms of damage.

Adds begin to spawn throughout event area.

Killing restless adds cracks shield on boss and HP drops.

Killing non-restless adds reforms shield on boss.  Examples: a shadow beast, a Shadowbone.

Non-restless non-shades automatically despawn after a period of time, but must be engaged in some form to prevent idle mechanic from occurring.

If a room add is pulled to middle area it DT's target player (Icy Touch of Death).

A certain number of players must remain in middle event area.  Emote warns when too few and boss casts 100k AE + Knockback (Tendrils of Restless Ice).

When boss reaches 10% it unlocks and can be damaged by conventional means.


Restless Chill:

Restless Chill DoT lands on players during event starting at 1st rank and ramps up to 8th rank.

RC ranks ramp up the longer a player hangs out in middle area.

Moving to one of the rooms reduces RC ranks.  Moving to a room and waiting, appeared to drop a rank every 10 seconds.



Strategy

Multiple MA calls for assist to kill restless adds.  MA calls include their assigned group numbers.  Calls are also done in special group channels for those who prefer to isolate the chat.

Rooms are labeled by cardinal and number.  Example: SE 1, stands for room 1 located South East.  Map section of post contains the files.

Tanks assigned to each room.  When add spawns, tank notifies in /raidsay add they are tanking and ROOM LOCATION AND NUMBER.

Two designated Raid Mark NPC players assigned to set Raid Mark 1 for restless shade in middle.  Subsequent Raid Mark 2 and 3 are additional targets for players in middle to DoT.

Pet Classes: Sick your pet on the Shade that appears in ETW under "Raid Mark NPC 1".  Be sure to set your ETW up for raid mark during prep if not already.


Restless Chill:

We assign two main groups of players by group number.  Each grouping has their own MA and channel.

Upon event engage designated groups start in MIDDLE (center) of main room.  Remaining assigned groups follow their MA for ROOMs (sometimes hallways).

Our coordinator announces in /raidsay when to SWITCH from MIDDLE to ROOMS.  When this happens, ALL the players assigned swap areas accordingly.

Coordinator call examples in raidsay:

SWITCH group -[ 6-9  to ROOMS 3-5 to CENTER ]- ALL (+announce/v)

Few minutes later, another SWITCH call, note the swapping of locations:

Important:

React when called on to SWITCH!  This is not an event you can just decide when you want to switch areas.

When in MIDDLE AREA - STAY OFF THE WALLS!   Walls do not count as being in middle and we fail the RC mechanic resulting in a penalty.

Do not use the zone-line to hang out.  That area does not drop your Restless Chill ranks, only the rooms do.



Tanks

- Restless can be stunned, to help mitigate damage
- Non-restless, tanks KITE around room until despawns, or as a Paladin may get away with chain stuns and OT/Heal self until it despawns
- Non-restless Shadow is NOT snareable

Tanks - Room Assigns - Format hotkeys for Raidsay and FLRaids to conform to the following pattern:

Tank Notes:
- For hotkey above, where SPAWN or TANKING is your choice or situational
-- Some tanks prefer two hotkeys depending on situation, only one "TANKING" is required though

Tanks in Groups 1 and 2 are assigned one per room and kept together for WEST vs EAST

Let me know during prep if you're not sure what I mean and I'll show you were to position based on your group

If you are in a group number assigned as part of the SWITCH operation, then you SWITCH when coordinator call happens

A Shaman is assigned WEST and another person EAST to slow room adds.  Tanks will send you a tell accordingly

DPS


Melee DPS:

Rangers: Do not use bow damage on Shade adds - Shades have a self buff that decreases damage taken from Archery and Throwing by 75% (Shadowy Form).

To help deal with the sliding floor in middle it may help to toggle WALK ON instead of RUN, to better navigate the MIDDLE area to directly melee shades as they move around.

Use judgement for your discs.  Save some discs for Shades in MIDDLE area.  We tend to kill Shades in middle slower due to them moving around and it is a bit more difficult for melee to position accurately because of the sliding floor.  Killing them more quickly reduces the knockback effect they do which leads to less player interrupts and of course boss HP drops more quickly.


Caster DPS:

Use judgement for your discs.  We tend to kill room adds quickly but fall behind on Shades in middle area.  Therefore as casters, you're more performant against Shades because you don't have to move much at all to cast on your target.  Whereas melee on Shades have to adjust position often to damage the moving target.

Make sure Shades are debuffed.  Some casters cannot land anything without the Shades being debuffed.

Sick your pets on the Shade being killed regardless whether you are in a ROOM or MIDDLE at the time.  Pets are really good against Shades because they're not hindered by the sliding floor.



MAs Kill Order: restless

Delegated Raid Mark NPC:  Two players assigned to mark restless shades in middle area.  Raid Mark 1 is primary.  Mark 2 and 3 are for secondary DoT'ers, where they primarily gun for Mark 1, but are able to spread dots on Mark 2 and 3 to optimize.

Heart of Frozen Shadow does not care for hairy footed creatures of Norrath.  This is odd, since hairy footed creatures are by far the most adorable and friendly.

Check to ensure the overlay is behaving as intended.  A single overlay should appear
for each different room location and number.  In order for this to work, both trigger
properties may have to be edited as follows:

1) Double click the trigger to open properties dialog

2) Click "Timer" tab, to left of "Basic" tab

3) In Timer properties, look for "If timer is already running when triggered again:" and
ensure "Restart current timer" option is selected.  Directly below this are two radio
dialog buttons, ensure "Restart instance if Timer Name matches" is selected.

4) Click "Save" button

Note: manual tweaking of these settings is required because GINA either doesn't save these
particular properties when exporting the package or it was coded this way on purpose in

Brief Event Overview

2020-08-28: Based on our first attempt.

Event is triggered.  No trash to clear.

When triggered Servant of the Sleeper attacks.

Similar to most dragons Servant of the Sleeper has directional AEs.

Boss is self buffed with Living Ice Guard; a shield that partially protects against melee and spell damage.  The shield can be reduced and eliminated, but subsequently is repaired if a Custodian add reaches the dragon.


Reduction / Removal of Living Ice Guard:

This mechanic involves two parts coming together in a raid coordinated action.  One is creating a clicky item that provides the Main Tank with protection and the other part requires moving an unstable golem to boss and casting Fire damage on the unstable golem in order to cause it to explode to reduce/remove the boss's shield.

A Velium Suspension Gel click item is created via poison crafting by a Rogue or Shaman (Trivial: 260). 

Fractured Velium Shard pick up on ground in event area (appear as orange crystals).

Construct Binding Gel, dropped from the velium sentry adds (item will appear in advloot window).

Combine the above two components in a Mortar and Pestle or equivalent to create the gel.

Coordinate action of bringing unstable golem near/at boss with MT protected and raid use Fire on unstable golem.

Boss will emote shield updates accordingly.  Example: The Living Ice Guard cracks. It is less effective.


Strategy

Assist MA. 

Kill priority Custodian add before reaches boss or it will repair Living Ice Guard (shield buff on boss).

Kill Sentry adds.  They drop TS component required to make gel clicky.

Kite an unstable velium sentry temporarily.

Coordinate raid action to reduce/remove Living Ice Guard (shield buff on boss).  MT protected with clicky then unstable golem brought to boss and MA calls Fire damage on golem.


Tanks:

- MTO responsible for turning dragon to prevent directional AEs from hitting main raid.
- All other tanks assigned to adds.
- Unstable add is special, kite it and watch for coordinated action when to bring it to dragon.


Healers: MGB CR/IoS, Ancestrial Aid, Alliance by assigns in channel


MA Kill Order:

- a velium custodian
- a velium sentry
- Coordinated: an unstable velium sentry

Hits Dark Elf races harder, mainly because they are weak and worship dark elements.  Unlike Halfling race following Bristlebane and as a result is immune to most elements in Norrath.

Brief Event Overview

20 minute timed event.

Unfettered Emerald Excellence boss triggered by keyword to start event.

Mephit & Armor adds spawn and depending on type are weak to various abilities: Snare, Stun, Slow, Mez and Root

Boss temporarily roots itself in center area and goes INACTIVE during adds.

Big boulder with an aura spawns at player emoted locations.  Aura causes damage to players caught in it.

There is a range AE effect in play at certain times during event.  Players near center of event area take less AE damage than outer areas.

Random players hit with one of two effects with penalty for improper action.

Player death results in mephit add penalty.  Player returns with DT effect requiring cure.

At 84% - Mephit waves spawn and boss INACTIVE.  After FOUR mephit waves boss goes ACTIVE.

At 70% - All players get a protective mark buff.  Players must run to the correct hallway their mark is associated with or suffer a penalty (death).

At 68% - Armors spawn in random hallways and path towards boss.  If armor reaches boss it causes 375k AE and stun.

At 50% - Mephit waves spawn and boss INACTIVE.  After FOUR mephit waves boss goes ACTIVE.  Armors continue to spawn.

At 50% to 25% - Boss active, boulder spawns dramatically increase.  Armors continue to spawn and emote/cure mechanic in play.

At 25% - Waves of Mephits.

At 25% - Boss INACTIVE - Hallway Emotes - Sentinels Continue Spawning.

At 24% - Boss ACTIVE - Mephits and Sentinels continue to spawn until event completes. 

At 6% to 2%~ Sentinels appear to increase to two at a time when boss reaches lower HP range.


Strategy

STACK ON BOSS when BOSS ACTIVE.

MOVE TO SOUTH when BOSS INVULNERABLE (INACTIVE).

Adjust position to avoid boulders.  Run to hallway when emoted.

At 84% - KILL Mephits with BANE damage.

At 70% - Run to hallway emoted as indicated; to the red "Run To" marker and STOP.  Your trigger will emote whether success/failure and safe to return.

At 68% - DPS Armors to 90% for BANE damage to work.  Kill armors to stop them from reaching CENTER.

At 50% - KILL Mephits with BANE damage - BOSS mostly invulnerable for short time.  HALLWAY ARMORS continue to spawn - KEEP PACE. 

At 50% to 25% - FULL BURN on BOSS unless assigned to HALLWAY ARMORS or MEPHITS.

At 50% to 25% - Shifting boss around room

At 50% to 25% - MELEE DPS + BOSS:
  • Start at SOUTH location (ref diagram marker "Melee Boss 1", in-game map markers are abbreviated MB #)
  • MELEE DPS SHIFT counter-clockwise with boss when MT moves to x marked locations in diagram

At 50% to 25% - CASTERS & HEALERS:
  • Start SW location (ref diagram marker "Casters & Healers 1", in-game map markers are abbreviated CH #)
  • When MT SHIFTS BOSS - Casters/Healers move to your next location
  • If boulder spawns at your current location then SHIFT to next "Caster & Healer X" spot

At 25% - Waves of Mephits:

Everyone who has the ability to do ANY BANE against a Mephit needs to do so!

Setup a /target hotkey for each mephit type you can BANE against and use the 2nd line in hotkey to cast your bane type spell.

Your SPELL DOES NOT HAVE TO LAND for the BANE to do massive damage.  It can be a low level spell and as long as it meets the BANE criteria it will work.

Check out the "Mephits & Armors Kill Team" section of this strategy post for BANE breakdowns and mephit names to setup your hotkeys.

It is absolutely critical that everyone that can BANE is doing so at the 25% stage.


At 25% - Boss inactive - Hallway Emotes - Sentinels Continue Spawning

AFTER returning from Hallway emote - MOVE TO SOUTH campfire - DO NOT GO TO MIDDLE (AE/Mana drain in effect still). 

Avoid crossing through middle also, go around the outside to reach raid.

Sentinels still have to be killed before they reach middle.

At 24% - Boss ACTIVE - Mephits and Sentinels continue to spawn until event completes. 

At 6% to 2%~ Sentinels appear to increase to two at a time when boss reaches lower HP range.

Cures:

IMPORTANT!

TWO effects happen during event.  Our triggers are SIMPLE.  Depending on effect the action is DO NOT CURE OR CURE.

Trigger tells you exactly what to do.

Poison Proliferation - ON YOU - DO NOT CURE

Spreading Stone - ON YOU - POISON CURE

You have 18 seconds to do the correct thing.

As you can see, when you have Poison Proliferation (PP for short), you DO NOTHING.

When you have Spreading Stone (SS for short), you POISON CURE.

For players who cannot SELF POISON CURE - We will hand out potions: Distillate of Immunization XVII.  Only ask for poison cure in group when your potion is on cooldown!

This is one of those raids where incorrect action taken when afflicted by an effect has a devastating impact for the entire raid.

When your trigger fires, READ / LISTEN to the message and act accordingly.


Penalties:

IF you cast POISON CURE with Poison Proliferation buff on, you cause AE DAMAGE to entire raid.

IF you are not POISON CURED to remove SPREADING STONE you are hit by DEATHTOUCH AND a mephit add spawns.

IF you DIE for any reason, when you return you automatically have Spreading Stone.  Your trigger fires normally when this happens to indicate POISON CURE.


Classes: Cleric, Paladin, Druid, Shaman

IF someone in group asks you for a POISON CURE because their potion is on cooldown, then perform the following steps:
  • Target YOURSELF and cast single target CURSE CURE: Eradicate Curse (in case you have PP buff)
     
  • Then TARGET PLAYER to cure and cast single target POISON CURE: Eradicate Poison

Classes: Ranger and Beastlord

This is here because our class setup in raids varies and having extra classes that can cast single target POISON CURE: Eradicate Poison can potentially be helpful.

Special steps to cure if you're playing a Ranger or Beastlord.

IF someone in group asks you for a POISON CURE because their potion is on cooldown, then perform the following steps:
  • IF YOU have Poison Proliferation buff - DO NOTHING - DO NOT CURE ANYONE
     
    • Seriously, if you have PP buff, STOP and do nothing -- You cannot help the person needing a cure!
     
  • WITHOUT Poison Proliferation buff - Then TARGET PLAYER to cure and cast single target POISON CURE: Eradicate Poison
* Note: Poison Proliferation can be seen TWO ways: GINA YELLOW OVERLAY displays when you have buff OR it'll be visible in your BARD WINDOW.


Mephits & Armors Kill Team:

Mephits and Armors are weak to the following spells/abilities outlined below. 

Make /tar hotkeys accordingly and hit hokey to /tar add and cast correct bane.  Combine cast/abilities in hotkey etc.

No need to wait for assist call on mephits and armors.

For armors, position yourself at entrance to hallway to spot when armor spawns, engage and DPS it to 90% then use bane against armor to kill it.

Bard Event Tips:

During mephit intervals (85%, 50%, 25%) I do not plainly melody this whole mess together, that would be terribly slow & inefficient. I also don't just sing one song, that also would be slow & inefficient since a constantly-played song will only refresh each tick. A "trick" is available to bards in that single-target songs will be skipped in /melody if there is no target, so the technique nearly all the time mephits are up is to /melody just the best AE song (Selo's, double Bane types!) along with some single-target song while targeting nothing: the good AE repeats as fast as possible. My choice has been to /melody Selo's with single target mez since the AE isn't already hitting mez banes; I target a rock mephit if one is up alongside just one of the Animated/Flames. If there are no Animated or Flame mephits up, and there are Breeze mephits, then I swap to the same sort of 2-song melody but with Denon's instead. This case is unusual as enc & pal & wiz are so much better at stun baning. Ditto AE mez; due to bard AE mez songs having a substantial reuse timer, it is rare that mez baning is a stronger contribution than AE snareslowing.

During boss phases, if there's a mephit due to someone dying out of turn, I make sure Aria & War March are staying on the group. Maintaining dps (increasing it if we can) will be crucial to our eventual win. It's not been a problem to solo bane a solo mephit to death before the key ADPS songs need to be re-sung.

Bst, like ber/rog, focus on boss dps in Mearatas. The countdown to enrage timer is the key mechanic to be battling against. Use discs early & often. Consult bst forum for good guides, maybe.

Vinelashes is very fine, especially against multiples, but can be hard to aim on the slopes of our fighting arena, especially as we're dodging boulders. A bane key with faster reuse single target spell+AA is much more reliable. Ambitious rangers will maybe show their quality by employing 'lash & the hotkey both?

my logs of Mearatas show Padraigg only landing bane damage by Ligament Slice. This bears out my experience Berserkering that Combat Abilities do not fire banes, only spells & AA & clicks that come with a "begins casting" message (not "activates")

Unfortunately, this means that rogues are limited to Animated mephit for bane.

Fortunately, this frees up rogues to really bear down hard on burning the boss. Padraigg's guide is here.

Regarding Magician bane attacks...

I have been using my Elemental Silence (level 63 Mez, Mem Blur).  I have used it successfully on both the Rock Mephits and Rock Armors.

I have a simple hotkey - /tar a_rock - I spam it repeatedly during the mephit phases, then manually click the spell gem as fast as it refreshes.
I pick up the armors from the Extended Target Window and the voice trigger, then make my way down the hallway to send my pet and cast.

08/22/20 07:44:32 PM   an animated mephit has taken an extra 195000000 points of non-melee damage from Raiena's Knee Strike Snare III spell.

Now this spell is easily overwritten so might to be our advantage to have this one first on our hotkey and then Call of Challenge.

The damage done by Darkness dots is superfluous, using the lowest level ones that still cast instantly saves bunches of mana. One cycle of a bane key like this is expected to flatten any one Animated entirely, solo kill in ~1tick. Instant banes are "some good". Having a good bane key is good for the SK not just for the raid (it's very good for the raid) because baning a mephit to death is a kill, so the SK can pick up Mortal Coil :D

How many of those spells to load will be up to the SK, of course. It takes three to max out snare spamming but spell gems can be at a premium.

This is of special interest to SK when talking about spell gems because Splode/Splode/Stream AAs are each 45 cooldown, so while (with care) one of that set can be ready for each wave, good SKs pretty surely want spell backup for them: Insidious Rejection (highly recommended) and/or Abhorrent Bargain (<Bargain shares timer with Spear) and/or Contempt-Revulsion-Disgust (<"not great" cast times on these).
When agroing those mephit waves, survivability matters, so there's no dropping Cadcane's Skin. A survivability-focused SK will want Stormwall Stance & Touch of Zlandikar self buffs on also, maybe? these are long enough duration to consider a /memspellset swap for.

As with all classes, dps also matters. Dps almost always matters, but in this event in particular there's an enrage timer issue coming up. Spear spell is great if Abhorrent Bargain isn't being used. Bloodletting Covenant is super since the raid has one big target for all the SKs to be lifetapping.

The AE root AA is directional, so you only use that if your character is faced toward the Wave Mephit (hopefully more than one, but whatever). Can't just spam it out there, not productively.

I'd suggest poison/magic dots on shaman, over using disease dots (disease is lower dps, but duration is longer, not so great on adds that need to die quick, or on UEE that dispells himself).






Armor Adds Tracker and Announcer:

Player assigned to track and announce in raidsay armor type, location, bane to use.

When sentinel (armor) mob appears on track, immediately announce to raid by using your hotkeys setup as outlined below.

When boss reaches 70% HP every player in raid is hit with a random protective mark buff.

There are five protective marks and each is associated with a "wing" or hallway area of the zone.

Each player must react by moving to the correct hallway based on their protection mark buff.

Emotes indicate success or failure and when safe to return.

Failures result in player being hit by Elemental Incompatibility - 250k DD + MANA/END DRAIN 250k (single-target)

Success - Correct Hallway:

Brief Event Overview

Trash up in zone.  Clearing for safety is ideal.

Proximity aggro on boss starts event.

Seneschal Radiant Propensity boss wild rampages.

At timed intervals Seneschal self buffs a short duration 50M HP Rune with a recourse Repercussions AE if enough damage occurs to drop the rune.  The Repercussion AE recourse kills phoenix and armor adds. 

There are two types of phoenix adds: Wildfire and Wind.  Each casts a different AE before being killed by the Repercussion AE.

A Wildfire phoenix casts Flames of Destruction - Caster PB 200k DD (30' range).  If this AE hits boss it will cause massive DAMAGE (145M~).  AE hits players for 200k.

A Wind phoenix casts Flames of Renewal - Caster PB Increase HP by 100k (30' range).  If this AE hits boss it will cause a massive HEAL (300M~).  AE heals players for 100k.

When Repercussion AE kills armor adds it strengthens the rank of the Repercussion AE.

Golems target random player locations and cast a visible ring on ground then AE damage that location and despawn.  Players avoid the ring to prevent AE damage.

Jopal, Vekerchiki, Triloun, Mephit adds cast a short range Fetid Blood DoT; massive mana/end drain.

Fire Giants are charmable.  Many of the adds mezzable.  Other event adds do not cast any spells.



Strategy

DO NOT USE AE DAMAGE OF ANY KIND

Boss positioned at door.

Entire raid position at boss location to minimize Wild Rampage damage.  Do not be near bridge or other area unless assigned to be.

Kiters assigned for wind phoenix and armor adds.  Kite counterclockwise, beyond the bridge.

Special kiter assigned for wildfire phoenix adds.  Kite in a tight loop to ensure the small range AE hits boss to cause damage.

Druid, Ranger or Enchanter assigned to PUNT/knockback the Slag Golem to keep it away.  Emoted players need to still react to trigger and run away.

ALL remaining adds not covered above to be MEZZED at raid.


DPS

- Pay attention to MA call when to DPS boss.



TANKS:

- ALL adds MEZZED at raid except for the following:
-- Phoenixes being kited
-- Armors being kited
-- Slag golem, punted (may need tank to snag to get off soft players, like Dark Elves, a weaker race...)

- Paladins, splash!


HEALERS:

- Disease Cure oriented spell lineup
-- Word of Greater Replenishment
-- GHoT with cure component
-- Etc.


ENCHANTERS:

- CHARM a fire giant lord and sick on boss.  Fire giant spawns south side.

- MEZ ALL adds at raid except for the following:
-- Phoenixes being kited
-- Armors being kited
-- Slag golem, punt away from raid


MA Kill Order: Boss on/off.

If it absorbs more than 50M damage during 30s it will explode casting Repercussions I - IV
Effect - 1st Person: Seneschal Radiant Propensity is surrounded by a bond of indemnity.
Emote: The Seneschal surrounds himself in a Bond of Indemnity.
Repercussions I - IV300k - 427k Caster PB (200' range)
Effect - 1st Person: You face the repercussions of breaking your bond.

Deals X fire damage to all targets in a large radius. 
Has unusual effects on animated armors and phoenixes.

Brief Event Overview

Upon zone in, depending on your faction, trash is KoS or non-kos just beyond the chamber.

This is a balance event involving three bosses.

Bosses located in different sections of the zone (middle, south and west).

Each boss has a mechanic to deal with.

Brief Overview of Bosses:

Sunshine Sensible Warmth - MIDDLE section of zone.  AURA spawns at location player emoted.  Directional AEs.

Feather Silver Sheen - SOUTH section of zone.  Spawns nilborien hawk adds.

Radiant Fog Evening - WEST section of zone.  AURA spawns at location player emoted.


Strategy

Clear trash during prep in middle section area. 

Clear connecting bridges leading to south and west sections.

Raid split three ways.

Each section assist their MA.


DPS

Balance event.  Keep a close eye on ETW to keep bosses within 2%.

Triggers indicate out of balance.  Adjust accordingly.  Raid suffers penalties when HP out of balance.


TANKS

MTO for each section when raid ready say "begin" to your assigned boss to trigger event.

Sunshine Sensible Warmth:
- When directional AE warning trigger fires turn boss to ensure AE does not hit raid
- Move boss as needed to avoid AURA
- Keep your bearings, boss leashed to area

Feather Silver Sheen:
- Aggro Nilborien hawk adds until they are CHARMED or MEZZED

Radiant Fog Evening:
- Move boss as needed to avoid AURA
- Keep your bearings, boss leashed to area


HEALERS

Sunshine Sensible Warmth:
- Straight forward healing
- No cures required

Feather Silver Sheen:
- Mix in group heal with cure component to remove Planar Venom poison DoT on players
- Single-target Corruption cure only - to remove Gouging Strike on players.  You get hit with a 125k DD when you cure it.
- Do not use a group corruption cure!  You risk curing multiple players with DoT in group and get hit with multiple 125k DDs!
- OK to use Purity Ward AA and single-target cure AAs


Radiant Fog Evening:
- Curse Cures.  Takes 36 counters to remove Suffocating Breeze from players (DT if it duration fades on player)
- Mix in group heal with cures
- Use Purity Ward AA, etc.


ENCHANTERS & BARDS

Nilborien hawk adds spawn at Feather Silver Sheen boss.

Charm the hawk adds and sick them on boss.

The hawk is killed a short time later by Feather boss.

MEZ extra hawks until able to charm.


MA Kill Order: Balance kill bosses simultaneously.  MA1 use /rs to direct adjustments.

All three bosses must be balanced within 2%~ HP.  Separate emotes indicate level severity when out of balance.  Penalty incurred for out of balance.

SLIGHTLY- The Palace Guardians are slightly out of balance. You are assailed by pain and suffering!
MODERATELY- The Palace Guardians are moderately out of balance. You are assailed by pain and suffering! Their life forces are restored!
DRASTICALLY- The Palace Guardians are DRASTICALLY out of balance. You are assailed by pain and suffering! Their life forces are restored! They each execute their special attacks!



Sunshine Sensible Warmth

MIDDLE section of zone.

AURA spawns at location player emoted.  Directional AEs.

Crippling KnivesTarget Ring AE - 333k DD + 175k DoT + 75k MANA DRAIN + Snare (35' range)
- Increases damage taken by 500% to 1000% by Lashing Blades directional AEs (Lashing BladesLeft, Right, Rear)
Effect - 1st Person: Knives cut you deeply, then turn to mist.
Effect - 3rd Person: Soandso is cut deeply by crippling knives.
Warning emote - 3rd Person: Sunshine Sensible Warmth draws twenty knives and prepares to rain them down on Padraigg!

- Spawns at Feather Silver Sheen - South section of zone

- The hawk is killed when charmed and sent to attack Feather Silver Sheen
- Charmed hawks against boss do not always die instantly, the time it takes varies

Brief Event Overview

Triggered event located at zoneline door to Aalishai.  Speaking with both NPCs starts event.

The Conflagration Generals are: Smiting Relentless Shard and Glorious Battleworn Monolith

Generals have various emotes that indicate locations and actions; such as moving generals far apart, near each other, to bridge, towers, etc.

Balance both bosses within 2%~ HP.

Whorling wildfire adds spawn at emoted player locations.

Jopal blazebomber adds spawn in the two nearby towers.  Blazebombers cast a Target AE.


Strategy

Know your group number.

Raid split by group number and divided between both bosses. 

Balance both bosses within 2%~ HP.

Use STUNS on whorling wildfire adds to cause massive damage.

Kill Team assigned for Jopal Blazebomber Adds in Towers.  One group per tower.  Blazebombers spawn approximately 3 mins after event begins and 45s~ intervals onward.

Kill Team for Jopal Blazebomber Adds in Towers:

Tower Add Kill team for Blazebomers located at top of towers.

Towers located NORTH and SOUTH with a bridge connecting a narrow valley.

Using our Prince Ralaifin in-game map markers are labeled as Tower 4 and Tower 5.

When a Jopal Blazebomber spawns, immediately engage and kill it as quickly as possible.

Blazebomber adds cast a Target AE that hits portions of the raid.


Tanks - Moving Generals

Tanks move Generals based on emotes.

Emotes occur at 1 min~ intervals.

General moves must be done in 10 to 12 seconds or FAILURE AE penalty occurs.  AE damage increases in ranks for subsequent failures.

Following a SUCCESS emote, tanks return to base camp with your General.

Our short naming convention for referring to each General is as follows:

SHARD= Smiting Relentless Shard
MONOLITH= Glorious Battleworn Monolith

Main Tanks for SHARD and MONOLITH respectively have designated NORTH and SOUTH locations to use unless logical combinations come into play.

Examples of logical combinations requiring adjustment below.

Example 1 - BRIDGE FAR APART:

Brief Event Overview

Trash up in zone.  Some clearing for safety is ideal.

Proximity aggro on any boss starts event.

Four Ralaifin bosses and each has various AEs and emotes.

Ralaifin HP locks at 20% and goes invulnerable.

Ralaifin must remain in their respective AURA.  If leashed become invulnerable and massive HP regen.

Players emoted - Run away, target AE at player location.

Several spiderlings spawn shortly after rapture emote.

Volcanic Billow Shard mechanic to unlock HP on Ralaifin related to clicking shards that drop from each boss, one shard click per towers throughout zone.


Strategy

Main Raid:

Be careful not to aggro a boss when reacting to run away emotes.

Target AE Emotes - AE AROUND PLAYER EMOTED - Player run away from raid.

Engage and DPS Ecclesiastic to 30% and STOP.

Raid engages next boss in order and raid repeats actions above.

SWITCH targets immediately when MA calls to do so.  Light emote from a boss indicates one to DPS in order to stop AE.

Rangers, Enchanters and Wizards kill spider adds that spawn.

Let spider adds PATH TO THE RAID -- Do not pull them otherwise they can accidentally aggro a nearby boss.

Shards that drop from bosses are picked by assigned shard clickers.  Shard clicked at each tower.


Tanks:
- Keep your Ralaifin IN AURA
- Do NOT pretarget your Ralaifin.  A Cleric may accidentally use a ToT on you which is Heal-to-Damage that will early aggro a Ralaifin on your target
- Do not pull spider adds from afar, otherwise they can accidentally aggro a nearby boss.


Healers: Avoid Heal-to-Damage spells to prevent accidentally hitting a tank that has a boss targeted resulting in early aggro on that boss.


MA Kill Order: Ecclesiastic (burn on engage), Sacerdot, Oblate, Theologist -- MA immediately switch to boss that does Light emote, to stop AE.


Tower Adds & Shard Clicks:

Tower Add Killing Team - Moves to each tower starting NW and working clockwise around the zone killing both adds at each tower.

Assigned Shard Clicker.  Player picks up shards as they drop from boss and clicks one at each tower.

Details of NPCs/Mechanics


Volcanic Billow Shard - Mechanic Details

Ralaifin HP lock at 20%.  Shards drop from each boss and one shard must be clicked in each tower throughout the zone to unlock HP on all the bosses.

Throughout the zone are towers.  Upon engage of the event (or when shard drops), two adds spawn outside a tower.

Ralaifin bosses drop one or more Volcanic Billow Shard click item at 65%~ and 33%~ HP.

Click Notes:
  • Shard must be clicked at top of a tower
  • Click doesn't work unless tower adds dead
  • Shard cannot be used on the same tower twice

Shard drop emote: One of Ralaifin's remnants shudders and a Volcanic Billow Shard falls to the ground.

Click Success - At top of a tower: The Volcanic Billow Shard crumbles and a wave of energy thrums outward, collected by the tower, which hums in apparent contentment.'

Click Success - Upon final shard click in tower - HP on bosses unlocked: The prayers to Prince Ralaifin falter.

Click Failure - Adds up still: 'an entity attached to this tower interferes'

Click Failure - Not at up top of a tower: The Volcanic Billow shard feels grounded where you are.  Perhaps you need to gain some perspective'

Click failure - Tower already on: already empowered'



Towers & Adds

Seven towers located throughout the zone.

Towers have adds.

Adds do not see invis.

Adds hit for 7k - 18k~ and cast various spells.

Adds despawn when event resets.


Add types:
  • a jopal soldier
  • an inferno flare

Number & Time Adds Spawn: 14 adds spawn in pairs outside each tower when initial shard fallen emote fires at 65% HP of first Ralaifin boss engaged.



Ralaifin Bosses

All Ralaifin bosses have the ability to emote and cast Ralaifin's Light - Caster PB AE 225k DD + 8500 MANA DRAIN (1000' range).

Ralaifin's Light is preceded by a warning emote in shout: Ralaifin Soandso shouts, 'The light! The heat!'

A flash on screen in-game emote occurs as: Ralaifin Soandso fills with holy light. He will be wrathful until that light dims!

When the light emote fires DPS needs to be applied to that boss in order to turn off the AE.

The AE stops when boss emotes: Ralaifin Soandso shouts, 'The light leaves me!'

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Event is triggered.  No trash to clear.

When triggered Silverwing and Xygoz spawn and attack.

This event involves two main dragons Silvering and Xygoz.  Each dragon has guardian adds which cause some chaos.

A DoT reset/removal mechanic is in play as a "metal cloud" effect with ranks from I to V.

Ancient wurms spawn and path towards dragons.  Penalties occur if a wurm reaches a dragon.


Metal Cloud Mechanic

Each dragon utters a curse periodically.  The curse casts a metal cloud DoT.

There are two different metal cloud DoTs, and each has ranks 1 through 5 (I - V).

A metal cloud DoT ramps up, increasing rank the over time or some other factor, perhaps subsequent curse uttering of same type.

The DoTs do not stack with each other on a player.  The metal cloud DoT of one type is removed when a player is hit with the opposite metal cloud effect, as the lore is emoted: The metal cloud of one dragon appears to cleanse the cloud of the other.

When the metal cloud of one dragon hits the other, it causes the opposing dragon power up, as emoted: The metallic cloud makes the opposing dragon stronger!


Ancient Wurms:

The two ancient wurms are silver and gold.

Silver wurm spawns in front of the EAST door.  It then begins to path down SOUTH or NORTH side of the room towards west end, then turns and heads up the other side.

Golden wurm spawns SOUTH hallway and then paths north.

Each wurm has a specific AE with visual effects.  Silver wurm has a lightning effect and Golden casts a viral AE.  In addition, devastation results if a wurm reaches a dragon.  For example, an ancient golden wurm that reaches Xygoz will cast a large explosive AE DD.


Silverwing:

Casts FRONT and TAIL AEs and has a PULL effect.

Silverwing spawns a Guardian of Silverwing add that has a PUSH + Knockback.


Xygoz:

Casts FRONT and SIDE AEs and a single-target DoT + STUN/SPIN + BLIND.

Xygoz spawns a Guardian of Xygoz add that has a Poisonous Cloud DoT AURA.  Guardian also casts a frontal AE DD + Knockback.


Guardian Adds Tether:

Both dragon guardians have a tether mechanic restricting how far it can be moved away from it's dragon.  When the tether activates an emote fires and the guardian resets from ETW and target and warps back to it's dragon.



Strategy

Metal Cloud:

IMPORTANT - READ THIS!

The "metal cloud" DoT reset/removal mechanic is similar to a Seeds of Destruction (SoD) expansion event we did years ago.  Players end up with different DoT ranks due to when they get the DoT and it ramps up in rank and it's up to each player to remove their own DoT in order to survive.

Best way to explain this is with an example.  As mentioned already, the DoT ranks are: I - V (rank 1 through 5).

Let's say you have "Silver Metal Cloud - I".  It ramps up to 2nd rank "Silver Metal Cloud - II", and so on.  To remove the DoT, you need to move to the other dragon (Xygoz in this example), and you'll get hit by the AE over there which removes your metal cloud DoT.

If you do not reset the rank on your metal cloud beyond rank II, you'll die most likely before reaching the other dragon.  Therefore you cannot just wait for the rank to cycle back down to rank 1 (from 5).

This also means MT for both dragons need to tank swap when their DoT is too high of a rank (like rank 2 or 3).

Furthermore, both Silverwing and Xygoz dragons need to die CLOSE to the same TIME, because both dragons are needed to cure (remove) each respective metal cloud dot.  Killing one dragon long before the other and players with the opposite metal cloud DoT will have no way to remove the DoT and it'll ramp up in ranks and they will die.

Trigger package has overlay with timer and voice explaining which rank you have on and warns you accordingly.


Moving from Dragon to Dragon:

When you need to move to the other dragon to cure the metal cloud DoT, be aware of the directional AE's in play.

It helps to use your leap AA ability to traverse a distance quickly to the other dragon.  This helps especially in the case of moving from Silverwing to Xygoz, due to Silverwing PULL AE at timed intervals it can end up pulling you back when you take too long to move outside the pull effect range.


Assignments:

Assignments by group number to different areas.  Refer to diagram for location.

MAP file with markers available further in the post.  Use the map locations to help avoid AEs and for identifying your assigned placed to be.  Tank positions also marked accordingly.

MELEE DPS

Assist MA1 as follows:

Melee start out by killing "A Guardian of Silverwing" being tanked EAST end, close to Silverwing.

Melee then move WEST side and kill "A Guardian of Xygoz.

Melee then DPS Xygoz.

Note your positioning on diagram once at Xygoz area.  A red line has been added to in-game map to indicate PULL limit from Silverwing.

Dimbly reported Xygoz seemed to take more damage from COLD.


Silver Wurm Intercept & Kill Team

Assist MA2 as follows:

Priority kill an ancient silver wurm IMMEDIATELY!

Do not get on the hatelist of Silverwing and Xygoz and you will avoid getting Metal Cloud DoT

When Silver wurm is dead, when Golden wurm spawns, go help kill it over at south door location.

Be mindful of positioning on diagram to avoid the PULL from Silverwing.  A red line has been added to in-game map to indicate PULL limit from Silverwing.

Notes:
- Silver wurm is non-aggro (does not hit back).
- Dimbly reported Silverwing took more damage from FIRE.


Golden Wurm Intercept & Kill Team

Assist MA3 as follows:

Priority kill an ancient golden wurm IMMEDIATELY!

Do not get on the hatelist of Silverwing and Xygoz and you will avoid getting Metal Cloud DoT

Tank - Face Golden wurm WEST when engaged, to prevent VIRAL DoT from hitting others.

TANKS

Tank Silverwing NORTH.  Face Silverwing NORTH so that FRONT and TAIL AEs do not hit main raid.

Tank Xygoz WEST.  Face Xygoz WEST to ensure FRONT and SIDE AEs avoid main raid.


Tank - A guardian of Silverwing, position it east side of the dragon.  Casts an AE DD PUSH.

Tank - A Guardian of Xygoz as indicated on diagram and face it NORTH to avoid Frontal AE hitting others nearby.

Reminder: Both guardians will tether and disappear from ETW/target, warp back to their dragon if moved too far away.


Tank - Face an ancient golden wurm WEST when engaged, to prevent VIRAL DoT from hitting others.


HEALERS

BE NEAR YOUR GROUP!

Maintain GHoT on your group at all times.  If multiple Clerics in a group, work out who will cover GHoT in advance during prep.

Cast splash heal between direct healing and group heals.

Shaman, be aware when Guardian of Xygoz has an AURA and that your MELEE will be in taking DoT damage as a result.  Be ready for this with your GHoT running and group heals + splashes.

Healers include a group heal with CURES in event Spreading Flames VIRAL DoT ends up on your group.

Strategy:
