Raid Buffs
* [04/13/2014] Updated: Call of the Forsaken Expansion *

Being properly buffed directly impacts your overall performance as a class.

During Freelance raids, ALL buffs are assigned to individuals of select classes, by spell name(s).


Slot Limitations

There are two windows for buffs: Short and Long term.  I'm addressing the Long Term in this document.

The Short Term window is 20 buff slots (any buff after the cap, spills over into the Long Term window)
The Long Term window maximum is 40.

Details & Limitations:
  • Based on Rk2 spell information.
  • Keep/Remove/Block recommendations based on performance, CLASS/Buff AA limitations, and Class availability.
  • Resist Buffs are not included (event specific).
  • Damage Shield buffs not included.
  • Bard Buffs are not included (group setup specific).
  • Self-Only Buffs and Click Items are NOT included.

Buff Combos by Class

Quiet often, when I check player buffs, they are missing key ones that affect their performance in relation to their class.  A prime example is melee DPS using Brell's HP buff, instead of Ranger Predator for DPS enhancement.  Attention to detail in this area results in cumulative offensive/defensive gains overall.

Outlined below are basic buff combinations for each Class.

Just as an FYI, Druids also get Mammoth Force given to shaman.

Going further...

Untamed Growth (shm/dru) = give to Warriors but not to SKs or Pallies; consider also monk-room-prep (think: Tick Tock) or Main Assist

Shell of the Reptile = Warriors only?  Pallies/SKs have something better?

mmm...maybe this one falls into the same category with Reptile.

Preservation of Marr Rk. II
1:       Increase ATK by 29
3:       Increase STR by 69
4:       Add Defensive Proc: Preservation of Marr Effect II rate mod 400
5:       Increase AC by 51

defensive heal proc:
Preservation of Marr Effect II
1:       Increase HP when cast by 1379
8:       Increase Hitpoints v2 by 1097 per tick

so, heal proc component is less than that of Reptile;

Shell of the Reptile Trigger II
1:       Increase HP when cast by 1924
8:       Increase Hitpoints v2 by 1568 per tick

but since it contains atk, str, and ac gain, pallies would certainly prefer their own buff. will need to try some stacking test sometime.

and, I can't find a corresponding self buff for SK atm!

Can we get an updated version for the current content, this is very interesting. I would like to start that ranger AC/ DS gets over ridden by SK drape, so no need to block it.

It's a long tedious post to update and has been on my mental list of things to do for a while.  Other projects are taking priority though at the moment, so this is going to get bumped again.  The overall buff lines have remained mostly the same however, so it's still useful in that regard in the meantime.

Friendly FYI - Clerics and Mages have the option of trading ~2k HP for additional AC and mana regen.

Cleric combo:
Armor of the Reverent Rk. III + Certitude Rk. III
603 AC, 11492 HP, 60 Mana Regen

Mage combo:
Shield of the Dauntless Rk. III + Certitude Rk. III + Phantasmal Guardian Rk. III
1181 AC, 11896 HP, 48 Mana Regen

With Skin + Symbol + AC + Focus instead:
Granitebark Blessing Rk. III + Symbol of Gezat Rk. III + Ward of the Reverent Rk. III + Insistent Focusing Rk. III
498 AC (664 AC for INT casters), 13816 HP, 44 Mana Regen

I see no reason for Hybrid tanks to take Certitude over the Symbol+Armor+skin combo

Paladins have a self buff that doesn't stack with Symbol/Skin combo, which is why they use Certitude + their self buff.

For Shadowknights, it used to be a buff slot issue I believe as the reasoning behind Certitude vs Sym/skin.  Perhaps that isn't the case anymore.

OK, I see there may be a stacking conflict with Armor of Formidable Grace's Mana regen component and Druid Skin.

But I can say for certain there are no issued on the SK Front. I run the skin/symbol package.

Quick and Dirty Hotkey our paladins can make to somewhat better organize an Armor and spire rotation during events.

*Add in a /pause to each line in the hotkey as needed.
*In order for this to work properly every paladin would need to make this hotkey and use the GINA trigger associated to it.
*You can mess with your own hotkey and add in a /target xtarg or a /target (players name) as the first line in the hotkey or whichever may work best for you, or keep as is and just manually target the intended tank to cast them on.
*You can make seperate hotkeys for armor and Spire since armor is a 20min refresh and spires are 10, this just consolidates them into one for less hotkeys needed.

Line 1: /alt activate 2019
Line 2: /alt activate 1440
Line 3: /[Channel # for tank channel]Group Armor on %t by [Your Name Here], [Name of the paladin who is next in the Armor rotation] is next
Line 4: /timer 12000
Line 5: -Empty-

For example if I were to make this hotkey and Sanolan is after me in the rotation, then Line 3 would look like this:
/2 Group Armor on %t by Zaknaffein, Sanolan is next

*The next paladin's name in the hotkey needs to be manually changed per event as dictated.
