Brief Event Overview

Note: WIP - Based on early attempts and group mission mechanics.

Trash to clear to reach event area.

Aaryonar has front and tail directional AEs.

Grolik spawns when Aaryonar flies into the air.

Echo auras provide protection against The Heart of the Temple AEs.  Also provides buffs to enable damage to Grolik.

Elemental orbs spawn periodically and provide a bonus or penalty depending upon interaction with correct Echo auras.


Echo Auras:

Echo auras spawn in fixed locations.  However, the aura that appears in each fixed location is random.

Mechanics in play result in benefit or penalty when interacting with the Echo auras.  When/who interacts matters based on emotes and Echo of X buff rank.

When a "distant roar" emote happens, the related Echo aura will provide an Echo of X protection against the incoming temple AE.

Penalties such as traps/AEs from each Echo Aura happen when the "resonate" emote occurs and players with the highest rank of Echo of X interact with the related aura.

Earth (brown) - Traps players including those nearby.  Closer you are, more damage you take.

Shadow (purple) - Banishes players to west area.

Ice (blue) - Pulls player towards center.

Fire (red) - Drops three fire decals on affected player.  Decals are fire ring auras.



Strategy

Aura Team members announced during prep.  Add them to your ETW to heal and monitor.  They must be kept alive.

1st aura cycle - NO ONE ENTER AURAS except Aura Team members.  Aura Team gets Rank 1 Echo buff.

2nd aura cycle and onward - OK TO ENTER AURAs - We annnounce it in raidsay, several times.

Emote tells you to TOUCH a certain color aura then RETURN TO RAID.  Make sure you do this for protection from AE damage.  Return to raid is important to ensure you're in range of Splash/Rain/Group heals.

DO NOT STAY IN AURA.  You only need to touch it to get Echo buff and then immediately return to raid.


Raidsay coordinator for calls - TOUCH <COLOR> AURA - Return to Raid:

A Raidsay coordinator to help raid by calling out which aura to TOUCH then immediately Return to Raid.


Bane Proc:

Fire bane melee proc is one shot use.  To replenish it, one must enter a non-fire aura then return to Fire aura to get a new bane proc and use it on Grolik or guardian adds.


Casters & Pets:

Kill an earthen prison quickly to prevent Root Ball Exlosion - 425k Caster PB AE.

During Grolik, position as indicated on diagram and move out of LoS when Grolik's Silence emote fires.


Tanks:

- MTO, position Aaryonar as indicated on diagram, facing east, to prevent Front/Tail AE hitting raid
- MTO, position Grolik at location indicated on diagram (Aaryonar is inactive during golem)

- Add tanks to move Orbs into matching Echo auras
- Add tanks be ready for guardians, tank until killed by raid


Healers:

During Grolik, position as indicated on diagram and move out of LoS when Grolik's Silence emote fires.

Move into LoS of raid on Grolik to drop your Splash/Rains.

Clerics, prep your group with Composite Blessing


MA Kill Order: Boss, Grolik with bane, casters/pets on prisons via MA2/ETW raid mark

Aura Team Members:

Each Aura Team member is assigned one of the following Auras; differentiated by color: Earth, Shadow, Ice or Fire.

Auras appear shortly after a "distant roar" emote.  Auras spawn in fixed locations; however, the Aura type that appears is random.

The Aura Team must locate their assigned Aura and step in to receive Echo of X (rank. I - V) buff, then step out.

For each player, only one Echo rank increase per type per cycle is possible.

Entering a different aura replaces an existing Echo with that of the aura just entered.

Members of the Aura Team must never enter the wrong Aura

Auras resonate periodically, directing associated effects at the player in the raid with the highest Echo of X rank.  The targeted effects are distinct by aura type as follows:

Earth (brown)  Prison traps player; others nearby
Shadow (purple)  Banishes player to west room area
Ice (blue)  Pulls player towards center
Fire (red)  Drops three fire rings at player


Aura Team Members must ensure their Echo ranks are higher than everyone else to guarantee resonating effects hit them only.

At start of event, ONLY the Aura Team enters their assigned auras for a complete cycle.  This ensures their Echo of X rank will be highest among the raid.

Once all of the Aura Team members obtain an Echo of X, everyone else in the raid can safely react to "distant roar" emotes and move to the correct aura as directed to obtain the Echo of X buff, which provides protection against the incoming Roar of X AE damage.

The moment an Aura Team member dies they lose their Echo of X buff.  As a result, the ENTIRE RAID must STOP entering that particular aura until the assigned Aura Team member can regain their Echo of X buff to a level above the entire raid.

In order to damage Grolik, players must have an Echo of Flame buff; obtained by entering the Flame aura when the associated "distant roar" emote occurs.

Echo of Flame grants the player Fiery Touch; a golem bane damage buff that procs Expenditure of Fire.

Grolik

Grolik spawns at steps to event area when Aaryonar flies into the air.

Weakening Grolik's Defenses:

A buff as a result of interaction with Echo auras grants the ability for a players' spells to land on Grolik.

The echo interacted with determines the buff.  Echo of Shadow is different from Echo of Flame, for example.

Echo of Shadow:
[Sat Apr 03 22:45:25 2021] You feel the power of the Echo of Shadow flow into your magic and weaken the massive golem's defenses.

Echo of Flame:

Interaction with Flame results in Fiery Touch melee buff that will proc Expenditure of Fire for 90 million damage against Grolik.

Expenditure of Fire 1st Person proc message: The power of flame stored in you by the echo explodes.

The Heart of the Temple

The heart of the temple warns with a unique "distant roar" emote before casting a particular AE.

An Echo aura provides an Echo of X protection buff with counters that blocks the heart of the temple AE.

Elemental Orbs

Orbs spawn at hallway entrance into event area.  Warning emote: Elemental energies gather in the hallway.

Moving an orb into the matching Echo Aura will grant a beneficial effect.  Example: A fiery Orb is moved into FLAME (red) echo aura.

An orb moved into wrong Echo Aura results in penalty (detrimental AE or add).

An orb will despawn after it touches any Echo Aura.

The Orbs will automatically aggro and attack if not engaged and moved into an Echo aura.


An earthen orb  Beneficial Spell Placeholder
  The Earth Erupts - Detrimental Effect, 475k DD Caster PB + Stun (70' range)
Detrimental effect emote: The energy of the earthen orb clashes with another energy and causes guardians of earth to appear.
Note:
- Moving an earthen orb into the WRONG echo aura causes three guardian adds to spawn
- The Earth Erupts is a small range AE (this may be part of another mechanic or add)
- An earthen orb is knockback rootable

Thursday, April 8, 2021 - Strategy Post & Trigger Packages Added

Good first look at this event last Saturday.  Our deaths were glorious and purposeful!  The attempts yielded helpful log data which we used to deconstruct various raid elements, including the Echo Auras mechanic. 

In addition, during the week, we ventured into the Group Mission version for theory and trigger tests.  I'd highly recommend anyone who wishes to understand or familiarize themselves with the Echo Auras mechanic to do the Group Mission achievement: Maximum Echo.

The strategy post contains a complete workup of our Strategy.

Be sure to read the Brief Event Overview and Strategy section of the post before attending the raid.

Download and import the Trigger packages accordingly.

Trigger Changes: Everyone

- Changed Text/Voice for all of the Roar of X triggers from MOVE to TOUCH.  Move implies "go and stay", whereas we need people to "go touch and return".

Examples:

TOUCH BROWN AURA - Return to Raid
TOUCH PURPLE AURA - Return to Raid
TOUCH BLUE AURA - Return to Raid
TOUCH RED AURA - Return to Raid

- Removed: Heart of the Temple AE - Blocked DoT - Roar of X - ALL - Success


DELETE OLD TRIGGER PACKAGE "The Temple of Veeshan - Aaryonar", BEFORE IMPORTING NEW!
