Ethernere - The Doomscale Horde

Zone & Instance Info

Gather Zone: Ethernere Tainted West Karana

NPC Name: Commander Galenth
NPC Location: Marked on map

Keyword to Enter: Go

Flag & Key Requirements

Zone Flag: None
Event Key: None
Group Mission: None
Event Flags:  None

* Minimum to be Piggy/85'/pushed into raid: Nothing required.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

* Warning: Sentinal adds are located far north.  Venturing too close to them results in 60k DDs.

Protect Commander Galenth from FIVE waves of around 10 adds.  Adds spawn from the NORTH and rush Commander Galenth.  If the Commander dies, we fail and the event resets.

On the 5th wave, Lieutenant Rolth and soldiers help us fend off the final onslaught.  Just like with the Commander, these friendlies can be healed and buffed.

Following the waves of adds, we are confronted with Deathmaster Sarenth.

When Deathmaster Sarenth PULLS you in, run back out immediately to avoid the big Blazing Rain DoT.

Defeating Deathmaster Sarenth completes the event.

Any questions, please reply to this thread or ask in the FLRaids:raids channel.  Thanks.

Comment on this week's set up for boss.  Most healers stood at South of rock to avoid being pulled to boss when pulled people in.  I went to the SW side, wedged in where we normally tank the boss and when it hit me it just moved me up the rock a bit and I would float back down.  Sometimes it did not even interrupt the heal.

I don't know if the other healers fared the same at the S side.

We had a few people that got thrown and died where we could not reach.  I don't know if that was more or less than normal.
