Brief Event Overview & Strategy


On engage, we have to take out SEVEN cliknar adds.  Assist MA.

After 3 minutes, the Queen spawns/activates and attacks.

During this time, she spawns Pabs/Blobs that we must kill or they'll morph/spawn more adds which are much worse.

ASSIST MA and kill adds when called on, top priority.

The Queen despawns at 76% and 36% and respawns 2 minutes later.  Between respawns, we need to cleanup the remaining adds.

ANY adds that are still up when the Queen respawns will EXPLODE for 36k DD + Stun.

CC will explain in FLCC channel what to do for Aphid handling + Charm clicky/jelly assignments.  Unless assigned, do not go near the jelly pool in the room thanks.

* WARNING:  The Queen randomly BANISHES players.  IF this happens to you. DROP ALL AGRO (FD if you can/etc), and then return ASAP to the event area.  IF you don't do this, you can have agro on adds, they follow you out of the event area and can possibly reset the event as a result!



Add Details


YOUNG CLIKNAR:

Mob Name: a young cliknar
Hits: 9000

  • Seven of these are up at the beginning of the event.
  • They are stunnable and mezzable.
  • Throughout the event (while queen is present, probably after active), every 1 minute 50 seconds an emote occurs and THREE more cliknar spawn from any of the above ground entrances to the event room.
  • Emote pattern for reference: You hear distant chittering sounds.
APHIDS & ROYAL JELLY

Mob Name: an aphid
Hits: 3500

Spawn throughout the event.  Mezzable, low level, low HP.

Next to the Queen's throne is a Pool of Royal Jelly.  During the event, walking over the pool results in being snared, but also a Blob of Control Jelly (charm clicky 1x).

We'll use this charm clicky on one of the aphids, to prevent a penalty AE from Queen.

Be aware:  Each time someone walks over the Jelly pool to get one of the blobs, the Jelly shrinks.  Once it's gone, it'll disappear.

Every minute approximately, the Queen checks to see if we've used the Jelly to charm any of her aphids.  If we havn't, she'll emote and cast one of her four control spells (charm, fear, mez, stun).

Penalty emote from Queen regarding failure to charm any of her aphids: The Cliknar Queen shouts 'Ah, none of my Aphids are usurped. Then I shall use this jelly on a few of you!'



PABULUMS & MECHANIC

  • Three types of Pabulums (blobs), spawn under the Queen, if not killed they morph into a cliknar add that hits for 12k w/various AE's.
  • Pabulums are non-confrontational (they don't hit back).
  • On Pabulum death, they AE:  Royal Feedback - 20k DD + Stun (10 sec), Single-Target.
     
  • Penalty royal adds (raiders/defenders), immune to Mez/Stun.
* Note: Basically, we must not let the pabs morph into adds.  Assist assist assist please!


ROYAL EGGS & CLIKNAR MUTANTS

Entity Name: Royal Egg
Hits: non-confrontational

Mob Name: Cliknar Mutant
Hits: 16000

Occasionally, at the Queen spawns a Royal Egg.  We have to destroy the egg within a short time, or it'll turn into a Cliknar mutant add.  Assist MA please!

Note: Lots of HP on mutant penalty add.  Basically, don't let it come to the mutant please.  Get that egg destroyed.


BANISH MECHANIC

The Queen randomly banishes players outside her room.

Note:
The problem with this banish, is that anyone agro'd and banished can cause the mob to follow, and leave the event area.  This is seen as a leash and will cause an event reset.

Brief Event Overview

Upon agro, Klix, Xixyx, and Klax`cik mini-bosses attack.

Throughout the event, every 45 seconds or so, a non-aggro fertile sporali and five noxious sporali spawn.

If the fertile sporali is not killed within 25 seconds of spawning, it heals each boss for 20%.

Durnig the event, non-confrontational aphid adds spawn continously, until 15-20 are active.  The aphids path towards the bosses and heal/power them up.

At select intervals, an Aura DD spawns in a random location with warning emotes (ref above details).

All three bosses must be killed within 1-2 minutes of each other, or they respawn at full health.

Defeat of all three bosses completes the event.

Event Failure/Reset Causes: Failure to agro and/or leashing any mini-boss causes powerups (Rampage, Flurry), and eventual reset.
 


Strategy Overview

Be aware:  This is an overview only.  Tank, CC, and Healer details are covered further down in the post.  Additional details given at prep during raid time.


During this event, we have to kill THREE Mini-bosses all within 1-2 minutes of each other.  Of course, there's adds and other fun stuff to spice it up!

Every 45 seconds or so, a FERTILE sporali (biggest orange mushroom!) spawns along with FIVE NOXIOUS sporali.

Noxious sporali have an AURA Melee/Caster SILENCE + 8-12k DD.  Trigger Pattern: You choke from the poisonous gas

We have 25 seconds to KILL the FERTILE sporali, otherwise it heals EACH Mini-Boss for 20%!  Once fertile is dead, the 5 noxious adds despawn.

At timed intervals, aphid adds spawn continously and path towards the mini-bosses, until 15-20 are active.  If ANY aphids reach the minis, they cause them to heal and powerup!

Please ASSIST MA as we take each mini-boss down to 5% health.  Stop DoTs please at 10%.  Klix casts small range PBAE DD, casters avoid standing in it.  Paladins help heal with Splashes please.

Assist MA and RANGE DPS the Fertile mushroom when it spawns immediately!

Pathing aphids will be intercepted by assigned players, and Snare/rooted in a location for Enchanters to lock down with MEZ.

Once ALL THREE Cliknar bosses are around 5% - We'll co-ordinate a kill call in /rs.


POSITIONING / REACTING - EVERYONE READ THIS:

Since the sporali spawn on random players, we have to stay TIGHT TOGETHER as a team, and move between TWO locations basically.  This way when the shrooms spawn, they'll be all together and the silence won't wreck us.

What we'll do is setup TWO fellowship campfires, and use those as markers.  We'll determine one spot as base camp, and/or use cardinals to distinquish between the camps for /rs calls to move as reminder.

So this is how we want to try and get this working:

Start out in basecamp, ADDS SPAWN, MOVE TO OTHER CAMP, RANGE DPS FERTILE.

Then back on mini-boss until 45 seconds and next set spawns on us (because we're all together remember!).

ADDS SPAWN, MOVE TO OTHER CAMP, RANGE DPS FERTILE.

Rinse, repeat.



Add Details

CLIKNAR DRONES:
  • Zone trash, hit for 9k.

 
  • Drop Cliknar Command Jelly, just like in PG event for charming.  Failure/break on charm, and mob becomes immune to spells for 60 seconds.
     
  • On event reset/fail, all trash respawns (15-20 of them).
SPORALI MUSHROOMS:

  • ONE fertile + SIX noxious sporali every 45 seconds.

 
  • Noxious sporali cast short range SILENCE AURA + 12k DD (more on this below).

 
  • Each spawns on top of a random player

 
  • Non-aggressive.

 
  • The BIGGEST shroom is always the fertile sporali which we need to kill fast.

 
  • When fertile dies, the remaining noxious sporali despawn.

To help co-ordinate our shifting, we've been using a /rs caller.  However in order to co-ordinate our efforts futher, we need to distinquish between the camps using cardinals via voice (compass directions, North/South in this case).

So basically, our /rs caller will have TWO hotkeys, and the triggers I made below will pickup and trigger the direction in voice which way to move as our caller announces.

Brief Event Overview

This event begins with Brath in an unkillable, yet active state.

We must contend with Brath, while dealing with three timed add waves, consisting of SIX autarchs mobs of various types.

Within these add waves are autarch Captains and General.  They drop specific items which are needed to hand into an NPC, causing Brath to become killable.

In addition, at timed intervals throughout the event, Brath warps to different locations.

During the entire event, players are randomly banished to a nearby combative mob called "A Treanch Guardian of Brath".  If this happens, just run WEST to get back out of the valley (details further below).

We're also on a timer.  Shortly after Brath warps to his final location, failure to defeat him results in penalty shards with special abilities and weaknesses (details further below).


Event Failure/Reset Causes:
  • Failure to engage/agro Brath

 
  • Timer penalty - Shard adds increase, causing a wipe.
Strategy Overview

  • Enchanters can do their stun/mez webs easier if the adds are close together.

  • Stay off and away from Brath unless assigned as MT and/or directed.  Various AE's in effect.

 
  • Prevents delays for tanks when re-agroing errant adds by having them close at hand.

 
  • Less chance of event reset due to erratic pathing from player agro afar.
ADD WAVE 1:

ASSIST MA killing the Captain first.  Continue as called on to cleanup the rest.

Watch /raidsay, as we're moving slightly before the final mobs dies to avoid the next wave spawning on top of us.

CC - Stun/Mez appropriate types (see below CC table)


ADD WAVE 2:

ASSIST MA killing the WARDEN first (range dps it at Brath).  Then assist on Captain, then cleanup rest as called on.

ASSIST MA killing the General first.  Continue as called on to cleanup the rest.

Assigned Root/Snarer and/or Enc/Shm knockback and park the autarch basher.

BRATH UN-KILLABLE STATE:

- We're OFF TANKING him until he's killable.  This will be explained in FLTanks.
 
- Healers prepped in FLHeals and be aware you must move in range of your MT each time Brath warps.


BRATH KILLABLE STATE:

- Monk/RNG make sure you debuff Brath's self buff: Regeneration of Kaol (25k HP per tick)
 
- Debuffers full spread (including malo please).
 
- Everyone else ASSIST MA when called on.  Watch /rs for Burn calls.


TUNNEL GUARDIAN:

A Trench Guardian of Brath - Players banished to this mob at random.

- Enchanter/Mezzer as assigned, you are locking this down for the entire event to prevent issues/player death.

- Any players banished, move WEST to get back out of the valley.

Banish Emote for those interested is: A gigantic foot kicks you! You fly through the air and land, miraculously still alive, in the ravine.

Brief Event Overview

Warning: This is a TIMED EVENT: 45 minutes.

This event involves four rooms, with adds that must be killed in a certain order.

Once the final room adds are dead, the Nightmare Clock in the foyer activates and attacks.

At 25% HP intervals, the Nightmare Clock spawns SIX adds that must be dealt with.

Throughout the zone are AVOIDABLE Rotdog trash adds.  On /rs move calls, LOOK and AVOID these adds.  Aggroing them at any time causes the rooms to respawn, and the timer to start.

Event Failure/Reset Causes:  Elapsed timer
 


Strategy Overview

Be aware:  This is an overview only.  Additional details given at prep during raid time.


POSITIONING:

Stay central to the raid.  Here's a few points why this matters, especially during the add waves:

Brief Event Overview

In the event area are 12 burynai trash mobs, which respawn when killed.  There are five different types of burynai, each has a special ability and/or AE.

At a point in the event, two large sporali mushrooms spawn in the middle. They are friendly, non-combative and cast beneficial heals.

Once a certain number of burynai are killed, a greken and 4-5 oozes spawn.  All the remaining burynai despawn.

Following the death of the greken, the burynai adds respawn.

After a certain number of burynai are killed again, the Burynai Destroyer spawns and attacks.

Defeat of the Burynai Destroyer completes the event!


Event Failure/Reset Causes: Any burynai left unattended (unaggro'd) for 1 minute



Strategy Overview

Be aware:  This is an overview only.  Tank, CC, and Healer details are covered further down in the post and/or given at prep during raid time.  Additional prep information may also be given during prep which is not currently covered here.


ZONE IN:

Please WAIT for the call to zone in.  We're setting up a kite inside, and it helps initially if everyone waits outside until we're settled.


POSITIONING:

  • Once inside, INVIS and move just outside the tunnel, and SOUTH.  There's a open area, and a ledge for casters to stand on.

 
  • Kiters need their space to operate in the remaining section of the event area.  Please watch your drift.

 
  • Assigned Paladin 1x, you'll be positioned WEST ledge, out of PBAE range in order to Splash us when mez'd/DoT'ed.
BURYNAI ADDS:

ASSIST MA when called on.  Paladin splash to cure PBAE Mez from Sapper, and Excavator AE DoT + spell pull/interrupt.

Casters & Healers - Both AE's from Sappers and Excavators are SMALL range, easily avoidable with positioning.


BURYNAI KITERS:

As assigned only please, on specific burynai type.

Healers - Unless within the kite group, avoid heals on kiters, as you'll potentially draw agro and cause massive death.


GREKEN:

Casters - DO NOT USE Fire spells or procs on this mini-boss.  Fire based cast or proc causes the greken to heal for 5%.

Wizards - DO NOT USE Ethereal Glaciation.  Icon shows ICE, but it's really FIRE.  I've PM'd Elidroth about it.

Bards - DO NOT USE Cacophony.  Fire DoT.

Pet Classes - Avoid equiping fire proc weapons on your pets.

Melee - Double check your weapons in case of fire procs and/or augs.  +FIRE DMG stat augs on weapons do not count as fire casts and are OK to have.

Rangers & Monks - Use your beneficial debuff to remove its temporary self buffed Damage-Shield called: Inner Flame.

Kiters - As assigned, your job is to round up the ooze adds that spawn and kite them off.  They'll despawn shortly after.


SPORALI MUSHROOMS:

Friendly!  Leave them alone please, they're there to help us.


BURYNAI DESTROYER:

ASSIST MA when called on.

It does not summon.  Depending on our setup we may resort to kiting as we DPS it down.

Be aware: It casts single target charm, and has a PBAE Silence + Stun.

Brief Event Overview

This event takes place in SIX stages, includes a boss and several mini-boss adds with friends.

Waves spawn at timed intervals, and consist of 6 - 8 mobs, mixed randomly of various types.

Throughout the event, non-confrontational cliknar messenger adds spawn one at a time and path towards Protarius Sithirhin.

Following the add waves, THREE Magrix mini-bosses and Mutabeetles spawn.

Eventually, the boss Protauris Sithirhin will go active and attack.  Protauris spawns adds at timed intervals.


Event Reset Causes:
  • Leash / Move an add beyond either gnome NPC near event area

 
  • Failure to AGRO any mob, and/or if any mob loses agro for any reason
Strategy Overview

Be aware:  This is an overview only.  Tank, CC, and Healer details are covered further down in the post.  Additional details given at prep during raid time.


POSITIONING:

Stay central to the raid.  Here's a few points why this matters, especially during the add waves:
  • Enchanters can do their stun/mez webs easier if the adds are close together.

 
  • More efficient for melee DPS.

 
  • Prevents delays for tanks when re-agroing errant adds by having them close at hand.

 
  • Less chance of event reset due to erratic pathing from player agro afar.
ADD WAVES:

Everyone ASSIST MA on the ADULTS first, then the YOUNG.  DPS use a short disc each wave.  Casters don't hold back.

Enchanters - PBAE Stun adds in camp.  Young types are mezzable.

Bards - Watch for, and charm the cliknar messengers that spawn.


MAGRIX & MUTABEETLES:

When Magrix & Mutabeetles come into play, continue to ASSIST MA when called on please.

Bards - Use your charm clicky you got from the messengers; against your mutabeetle, and have it attack MA's target, unless assigned a specific Magrix ahead of time.


PROTAURIS SITHIRHIN:

When Protauris goes active, we'll either KITE or OT him, until we finish off the Magrix's and any beetles remaining.

Watch for MA calls please, as timed adds spawn while Protauris is being killed.

Tanks - Paladins, Shadowknights, Warriors

Be aware: The wave adds are not weak hitters.  Please do not blindly AE agro and think you'll survive the onslaught, you won't.


PALADINS

Make sure you use level appropriate stuns on the adults.  Adult chitinguards are unstunnable.

The adds have a mix of AE's, including Blind, Melee/Spell slow, DoT's, and Roots.  Splash of Sanctification can remove many of these afflictions.

Constantly use splash to cure the DoTs during the Magrix stage.  For example: Magrix Leenax has a 2k DoT Mana Drain, Elidax a Melee 50% Slow, and Phelaux a 40% damage mod.

Patch heal yourself!  This helps reduce the burden on our healers, and increases your chances of survival.


SHADOWKNIGHTS:

As stated above, try not to AE agro on these waves without an active deflect/disc.

Lifetaps!  Use them!  This helps reduce the burden on our healers, provides extra DPS, and increases your chances of survival.


WARRIORS:

As stated above, try not to use your AE agro ability without an active melee invulnerability disc.

Bind wound is your friend.  Haha!  Just kidding!



Crowd Control - Bards, Rangers, Druids, Enchanters

Brief overview here, details/adjusts based on our setup are done on a per raid basis.

ENCHANTERS:

Setup a PBAE Stun web/chain at camp.

Mez the youngs.


BARDS:

At timed intervals during the event, 'a cliknar messenger' spawns in the northeast area and walks towards Protaurius Sithirhin.

When you see one, CHARM it, and it'll despawn, and a Blob of Mind Control Jelly will appear on your cursor.  This is a one shot clicky charm ALL/ALL item (duration 1.6 mins).

Use this Jelly later to charm the mutabeetles that spawn during the Magrix stage.  Use your new found pet against the Magrix's as assigned.



Healers - Cleric, Druid, Shaman

Expanding on some areas we cover in the healer channel during prep.

AUDIO TRIGGER:

During the Magrix stage, Leenax casts Arcane Disjunction, a 2k DoT Mana Drain.  Fortunately it's only a few corruption counters to cure it.

Pattern: You have become engulfed
Action: Corruption Cure, or RC AA, or CLR Epic to remove.

Brief Event Overview and Strategy

This event involves: Two bosses, adds, emotes, and directional AE's!  Fun!

Always INVIS when you MOVE OVER THE WATER!  Otherwise, the lake adds will agro and hit you.

Throughout the event, Grunkuck randomly banishes players into the nearby lake onto rooted whelp adds which attack you.  When this happens, get out of the water ASAP and return to the raid.

AVOID Grunkucks SIDES, or you'll be hit with a 70% Melee SLOW, and 50% Spell SLOW!  If you are hit, use Corruption Cures to remove.  Paladins Splash!

At 70% - Grunkuck WARPS to the SOUTHWEST side of the lake, and FOUR beast adolescent adds spawn.  ASSIST MA on the adolsecent adds.  STAY OFF GRUNKUCK.

TWO minutes later, Grunkuck WARPS to the NORTHWEST side of the lake, and FOUR more beast adolsecent adds spawn.  ASSIST MA on the adds, STAY OFF GRUNKUCK until called.

At 43% - Kelmuck, Grunkuck's MATE spawns, the LAKE ADDS attack, and several additional adds spawn at Grunkuck.  Details below:

an underdeveloped whelp = KITE away (they move slow!), and it'll STARVE to DEATH in 30 seconds or so.

a dimensional beast whelp = ASSIGNED KITERS, as instructed, pickup your set and KITE away from the raid until we finish.

At this point, everyone else ASSIST MA on GRUNKUCK, and DISC when called on.  STAY OFF MATE please.


Emotes:

Throughout the entire event, you must react to emotes.  Failure to do so, will basically wipe us.

Each player targeted must RUN AWAY from the raid, or else everyone near you suffers either SILENCE or 30k DD.

Setup the following AT's, replacing "your_name", with your character name.  RUN AWAY when your trigger fires.

Pattern1: looks at your_name
Pattern2: with rage at your_name

MT's can be emoted!  When it happens, the MT will call out in RS, OOC, SHOUT, and EVERYONE must RUN AWAY.

Buff Combos by Class

Quiet often, when I check player buffs, they are missing key ones that affect their performance in relation to their class.  A prime example is melee DPS using Brell's HP buff, instead of Ranger Predator for DPS enhancement.  Attention to detail in this area results in cumulative offensive/defensive gains overall.
