Brief Event Overview & Strategy

One of Pelzia's remaining generals is launching a final attack, and once again Freelance must come to the rescue to save Norrath!

Event starts with wasps, that split and summon at 100% shortly after spawning.   We must work through the splits to get the end named Bazzt Zzrazz to spawn.

We'll work through ONE wasp at a time, while OT'ing the other two.  For the final split resulting in two Zzatazz, we'll park and MEZ them in the North-East area.  Rinse and repeat.

When SIX Zzatazz are remaining, we'll take each down to 5%, mez and hold for kill-all within 30 seconds in order to spawn Zzabi.

Be aware: There is a sting emote and DT mechanic in play (explained below) during the wasp stage as well as the final boss (but different for boss stage).  IF you are assigned to wasp OT/MT group(s), please ensure you are on the correct wasp and avoid getting hit by another groups wasp AE.

WASPS:

Main Assist and Tanks, please note the transitions please:

FINAL BOSS: Bazzt Zzrazz

Bazzt Zzrazz is the final boss which has a sting DT mechanic we must deal with.

Every 30 seconds and 10% HP of Bazzt two random players are targeted and emoted.  One player gets a YELLOW CLOUD warning emote, the other gets a RED CLOUD warning emote.

12 seconds later Bazzt will cast a YELLOW Apitoxin AE at the yellow emoted players location, and a RED AE Apitoxin at the red emoted players location.

Each AE is 40' range around the targeted players that will damage and put a 2 minute debuff on the player (Yellow or Red type).

If ANY player that has the RED Debuff is hit with the YELLOW AE, they will be DEATH TOUCHED (DT).  ANY player that has the YELLOW debuff who is hit by the RED AE will be DT'd.

RED cloud emoted = RUN EAST
YELLOW cloud emoted = RUN WEST

If you fail to run, you will DIE, and kill others around you with the rain AE targeted at you.

ENTOMOLOGISTS:

Throughout the event, various non-confrontational Stone Hive entomologist adds spawned at timed intervals.

Bards and Enchanters, you can use these as pets against wasps.

CC Notes:

Any questions, please reply to this thread or ask in the FLRaids:raids channel.  Thanks.

Note: WIP strategy prep.  Will update the post to reflect our efforts as we progress.

Tonight there were a few times when we accidently killed the Zzatazz that were meant to be beaten down to about 10% mezzed then killed within 30 seconds of the other Zzatazz.  We have only beaten this event once before tonight and people are still getting acquainted with the event (e.g., trying to develop that “muscle memory”).

When we beat the event the first time, Curmugly was doing a great job giving step by step detailed instructions and vigorously reminding folks to attack certain mobs to a certain level.

Furro, please insist that your MA designate have two types of “assist” keys, one that contains the normal assist type message and the other with a reminder to stop attacking the certain mob to 10% or whatever the kill point is.  People seeing these MA messages will have that messaged “engrained” into their memory.

Yes, someone may say … folks need to pay attention or some other snide comment.  The point here is simple; it’s about high quality communication and using the MA assist message is a perfect opportunity to “remind” folks if a certain mob is to be attacked to a specific level.

Friendly FYI regarding the trash DTs -

Yellow bees (names start with B) cast Yellow Apitoxin (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=38718&source=Live) on whomever is tanking.
Red bees (names start with Z) cast Red Apitoxin (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=38720&source=Live) on whomever is tanking.
These spells are cast ~ every 15-30 seconds.

If someone with Yellow Apitoxin is stung twice by a red (Z) bee, they are DTd.
(emote = Your skin boils with yellow wasp toxin.)
If someone with Red Apitoxin is stung twice by a yellow (B) bee, they are DTd.
(emote = Your skin boils with red wasp toxin.)

The danger here comes from between waves - the previous tank is likely to get stung by the newly spawned wave (more than once) and get DT'd.

My suggestion -
If you are a tank, make a trigger for receiving the sting buff called NO RED BEES or NO YELLOW BEES (it could be non-intrusive, like a timer only). This is a good indicator for whether you are going to die on the next spawn wave if you get hit. The following wave inherits the previous aggro list, so good luck. :P

Also, as we saw tonight, if red bees (especially the tiny Zzatazz) get on the offtank teams, they will wipe quickly to DTs.
