The Gilded Spire - T3 - The High Priest

NPC Location: Find path (CTRL-F)

Brief Event Overview

DO NOT HAIL.

High Priest Yaran is boss.

Prevent penalty adds from spawning.

Various emotes come into play during event.

Various ground auras come into play during event.

Prevent messengers from aiding boss.


Strategy

Kill Animated Statue.

Engage High Priest Yaran.  High Priest has both frontal and rear AE damage.  MT will move boss to avoid damage to raid.

Rector of the Spire and 2x acolytes spawn at 100 and 80 percent. Kill Rector and its acolytes will despawn.

Players emoted with Purification or Penance run to appropriate corner and touch aura to remove debuff.

Penalty adds result if players fail emotes by not moving, going into wrong aura, or standing in auras too long.

Kill 4x acolytes that spawn at 58, 50, 42, 34, 26, 18, 10 and 2 percent.  Acolytes must die.  Boss health locks.

MEZ Faith, Vengence and Health messengers to prevent them from reaching High Priest.

Tanks:
- MT position High Priest Yaran away from raid for front and rear AE damage
- Face acolate flyers away from raid
- Keep acolyte ground 100' away from raid and each other


Healers:
- Continous splashing throughout event


MA Kill Order: purification, penance, Rector of the Spire, acolyte flyers, acolyte ground, Boss

Warning Emote: The High Priest tenses and takes a deep breath.

- Casts at 55s intervals

Rector and Acolytes

Rector and 2x acolytes spawn together.
Spawn Emote: Creatures fly in through the openings above.
Spawn Emote: Creatures stride in from the stairwell.

When Rector dies, the acolytes despawn.
Emote: When the rector of the skies falls to the ground, its acolytes flee.

Acolytes spawn 2x flyer, 2x ground at 58, 50, 42, 34, 26, 18, 10 and 2 percent.
Spawn Emote: The High Priest of the Outer Brood gathers power from its servants to prevent its own death.

Start Event

Event is triggered by hailing High Priest Yaran.

The high priest roars and shouts, 'I need not deal with you, when I have a proxy to smash you in my stead!'



Achievements:

- Undelivered
-- Allow no messengers to reach the High Priest.

- Kill the Body
-- Defeat the acolytes and only kill the Rectors when no acolytes are alive.

- Unrepentant and Impure
-- Allow no purification or penance to spawn.



Lore:

Event Reset:

A servant of the High Priest, left idle, flees and returns with overwhelming force. Your mission fails.

The following are the absolute minimum graphic settings to see auras.  Zoning is required for the changes to take effect.

To make the changes, in game go to Options (ALT-O), Display tab.  On that page there's a Particles area with three little tabs: Spells, Env and Player.

Updated trigger package.


DELETE ENTIRE PACKAGE "Gilded Spire - The High Priest" BEFORE importing new packages.

Make sure trigger package is enabled
