Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Event is triggered.  Trash can be cleared from room before triggering event.  Event is timed.

Healers - DO NOT USE CURES

Paladins - DO NOT USE SPLASH (it contains cure components)


Venril Sathir (VS) goes active on event start.

Venril Sathir emotes player with mesmerizing gaze - Player needs to run away or everyone nearby is hit by Sathir's Mesmerization 300k DD + STUN (Target AE, 35' range). 

Mesmerizing Gaze emoted - Run to middle/center of room when emoted.  Orange ring appears around player emoted.

Venril Sathir - At 20% HP Rile Sathir spawns.

Rile spawns Spirits and Hexbone adds at HP/timed intervals.

Rile HP LOCKS at 5%.

Rile HP is on a 20 minute reset timer.

Drusella Sathir appears and disappears throughout the event.

Drusella appears with it's blue damage AURA - EMOTES a player then CHASES THAT PLAYER.  Emoted player RUN AWAY until Drusella stops chasing (emote notifies when chasing stops).

EMOTE FAILURE: IF PERSON BEING CHASED IS HIT BY AURA, then Drusella emotes the player and does a PULL AE effect: Pull of the Demi Lich.  Anyone caught in the PULL area of 125' range will die usually as a result of being in her AURA at that point.


Strategy:

Tight formation - Raid SHIFTING between TWO CAMPFIRES - WEST and EAST.  We start at West.

When Drusella warns she is about to respawn we SHIFT to the other camp using /rs announce calls (make sure you have our Generic Raid triggers).

Drusella emoted players use SOUTH AREA TO KITE Drusella and do not let her aura hit you.

DPS Venril Sathir to 20% then Rile Sathir spawns.  VS despawns then returns a short time later.

Mages, Necros and Enchanters DPS Rile Sathir until Venril Sathir respawns then immediately switch to Venril Sathir (remember to switch your pets to VS too).

Necros DoT both Rile and Venril Sathir (when VS up), unless Rile HP at 5% (locked), then stay on VS.

MELEE DPS ASSIST MA on ADDS.  Keep pace.

AE DAMAGE is OK and encouraged.

Tanking Venril Sathir and Rile and adds at same location.  When raid shifts, tanks drag bosses + adds together to other spot.  Rinse/repeat.

Kill Venril Sathir first then Rile 5% HP unlocks, then kill Rile to complete event.

Tanks:

Tanks for VS and Rile - Your tank spots change due to shifting of raid between two spots: West and East.  We start out West.

MTO for both VS and Rile, tank them together.  When raid shifts, you shift with the raid and drag your boss to other spot.

Add tanks - Pickup Spirits and Hexbone adds and tank at raid location.  Drag your adds when raid shifts spots.


Healers: DO NOT USE CURES

Do not use the following spells/AA:
- Radiant Cure (RC AA), Purify AA, Group Purification
- Ward of Purity AA
- Cleric Epic
- Renewal heal line (contains cures)
- Group Heal with cures (i.e: do not use Word of Greater Replenishment)
- Group Heal-Over-Time (GHoT) with cures (i.e: do not use Sincere Aquittal)


Clerics - Some spells you can swap in place of above:
- OK to use the following group heals: Word of Soothing and Syllable of Soothing
- OK to use the following group HoT: Elixir of Transcendence
- OK to use AA Divine Arbritration
- OK to use Exquisite Benediction AA
- OK to use Remedy line, Promised Restoration line.

If in doubt, right click any spell and look at description to determine if it cures.  If still not sure, ask in FLHeals channel.

You should have a standard "NO CURES" spell set saved for these types of events.

To make the changes, in game go to Options (ALT-O), Display tab.  On that page there's a Particles area with three little tabs: Spells, Env and Player.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Some zone trash is non-kos, but not all.  Trash can roam near ZL and aggro.  Trash does not see-invis. 

Corpses reset at zone line.

We must engage all four bosses immediately or random players are summoned.  Event will reset if any boss not reengaged quickly enough.

Upon triggering event two trial areas go active: Trial of Three and Trial of the Eternal Cyclone.

Trial of Three:

- South-West area on map.
- Three mephits spawn, one per room.
- Each mephit has a unique player emote.  when emoted, run to the marked location accordingly.

Mephits HP must be balanced within 8%~ of each other.

Setup:

- A group number is assigned to each mephit.
- Remaining groups are assigned to the cyclone trial area.  When cyclone trial finishes, those groups join mephit groups assigned by group to room and mephit name.

Trial of Three MA Kill order: All three mephits must be balanced - Pay attention to ETW and MA calls for adjusts.





Trial of the Eternal Cyclone:

- West (SWish) area on map.
- Spawns Disappointed Heart`s Torrent at the top of the spiral ramp.

Torrent boss is invulnerable when adds are alive.  Adds combine together if not engaged quickly enough.

Kill adds priority, then DPS cyclone in between adds.

Tank adds South-West (SW) area down below. 

Tanks pick up adds immediately or they'll combine within 2-3 seconds.

Torrent boss tanked up top of spiral platform.  MT position boss near opening to platform to ensure players have line-of-sight.

Casters and Rangers position up TOP OF RAMP near platform opening, allowing for line-of-sight on Torrent boss AND SW adds down below.

Healers - Position top of platform but away from SW ramp edge, to allow room for DPS who need line-of-sight at SW ramp area.

Eggs & Phoenix Adds:

- Priority kill: "a phoenix supernova" -- If an egg does emote a player, destroy "An egg"
- Trackers, "a phoenix supernova" was reported as showing on track.

Setup:

- Bulk of raid by group number assigned to cyclone trial area.
- Once cyclone trial complete (boss dead), those groups move to Trial of Three (mephits) assigned by group number to room and mephit.

Trial of the Eternal Cyclone MA Kill order: Priority adds (phoenix, egg, a gritty blast, a blazing breeze) then Torrent boss

Trial of Three

South-West (SW) area on map.

Three mephits spawn, one per room:
  • Warm Heart Flickers
  • Dark Waters Sing
  • Shadows of Stone
Each room represents an element:
  • Fire (north)
  • Water (west)
  • Earth (south)

Each mephit has an emote run to mechanic.

Mephits will leash to their room if pulled out and as a penalty they'll cast faster.

Mephits summon a player to event area if not engaged in time.

Disappointed Heart`s Torrent boss spawns on platform at the top of the spiral ramp.

Boss is invulnerable when adds up.

Adds spawn SW and NE (?) down main level area.  Adds combine if not engaged/killed quickly.

Phoenix adds lay eggs and eggs emote players.  Eggs explode with an AE DD if not destroyed.  Killing the phoenix prevents eggs and stops emotes.

This area goes active at the same time as Trial of Three area.

Prisoner NPCs

Two prisoner NPCs located behind the gate north from zoneline:

Prisoners can die during event: [Wed Feb 26 23:31:50 2020] Daring Glances Slight shouts, 'You killed me!'

When event resets, if a prisoner died, it doesn't appear back at gate in north area.  This may or may not matter for /ach Rescue Rangers, where the objective is to keep the prisoners alive.  Perhaps the script initially has them up on fresh instance, then following a wipe/reset they'll spawn again once event triggered.


Start event

Upon entering zone, north down path to gate is a subsumed efreeti lord.

Event reset:

These here have been taken prisoner and should you interfere they will become the next victims of the influence of Smoke.  Of course that is their fate regardless of your actions, so it will cause no harm for me to explain, as I am not forbidden to do so. The trials serve two purposes, test those that need to prove themselves and weaken the creatures that live here in this narrow space between Empyr and Stratos. But we have not required the trials very much lately. The creatures here have grown strong and we have become their [victims].'

[Wed Feb 26 22:57:42 2020] A subsumed efreeti lord says, 'I was captured when sent here to assess the situation, as were most of these others, though some were sent here to take a trial. This is a great risk for you, of course, and I would not expect you to [do such a thing] for these foolish prisoners.'

It is likely they will not arrive singly, and you will have to defeat all of them as they appear. You would have to deal with them at the same time. As I said, I can draw them here easily enough, especially if the prisoners were to attempt to escape. And I will do so, if you [agree] to try to defeat the monsters that threaten the elemental planes.'

The Great Divide - T1 - Restless Assault

Brief Event Overview

Friendly coldain citizens need protection from waves of giants.  If too many citizens die the event resets. 

Friendly NPCs are controllable to a degree by issuing commands to Zrelik the Brave.

Each stage has a giant boss with a special mechanic along with AEs and sometimes adds.

Bosses spawn at one of the random static locations throughout zone for each stage.


Strategy

Assist MA.

MA Prep - In case regular MA absent - Steps identify Real boss during splits:

When boss splits into FOUR (copies; emote occurs), pick one to DPS down.
At 80%~ HP it can emote: Narandi the Restless melts, a pool of water appearing at its feet.
Look for blueish aura at feet of the boss.  If it has BLUE aura then SWITCH to another boss.
Repeat process until we get to a boss that doesn't have the AURA appear.
Concept is to kill the one that does not have the blue aura.
If blue aura never appears then we just kill that boss.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Three groups of adds are up before event start.  Adds are South-East, West, North; not active but targetable.

When event is triggered a group activates.  We start with the South-East (SE) group of adds.

After all adds have been killed, two minibosses spawn: "Interminable Lightness of Being" (EAST) and "Sparing Heart`s Flame" (WEST).  Know your group number for this stage.

Once Interminable and Sparing die, "Wafting Heat Aftermath" miniboss spawns.

When Wafting Heat Aftermath dies, "Effortless Eruption of Spirit" miniboss spawns.  This miniboss spawns adds of random type.


Stage 1: Add waves

Reminders:
  • Except for the initial wave of adds; given we start with SE, the remaining West and North activate in random order
  • Adds are shuffled each event reset and not static.  Do not rely on /tar add_name0#
  • Inferno adds cast a big AE DoT + Blind on PLAYER corpses - Take rez quickly if you die please

The first two waves are timed.  The last wave we leave TWO adds alive for a brief breather to rez/rebuff any dead players and prepare for the miniboss stage.

Groups of adds located South East (SE), West and North.

CC: Enchanters MEZ - Inferno adds.

Assigned tanks for: Flame and Jopal adds.  Additional tank depending on setup assigned for Inferno adds to help CC and tank when time to kill.

Assigned point deflect/fort tank for each group of adds.

Tanks:

Do not use /tar add_name0# for your assignment.

Add assigns: Facing each cardinal location (SE, West, North), your assigned mob is from left to right as it relates to your assign order.

Example:

a_jopal_soldier - Soandso, Clown, PieFace, Rabidpanda

Soandso would set ETW accordingly; while facing SE, West, North, the first jopal on the LEFT.

Clown takes 2nd jopal from left.  PieFace takes 3rd, and Rabidpanda takes 4th jopal (not all areas have a 4th).

Deflect / Fort tanks:

We begin with SE location.  Deflect tank triggers by targeting a jopal and using the keyword: destroy.

There is a six second delay before the event begins from time of triggering.

Beyond the initial wave either WEST or NORTH will activate.  Each assigned deflect tank make sure you are in position before the next wave activates.


Healers:

Avoid Heal-to-Nuke spells, to prevent accidentally breaking MEZ on inferno adds that tanks/CC may have targeted.



Stage 2: Minibosses - "Interminable Lightness of Being" & "Sparing Heart`s Flame"

Two minibosses spawn: "Interminable Lightness of Being" (EAST) and "Sparing Heart`s Flame" (WEST).

Random type adds spawn in pairs; one per miniboss.  When only one miniboss alive only one add spawns.

BURN EAST miniboss: Interminable Lightness of Being

While EAST boss is alive:

Enchanters MEZ Infernos during east boss.

Bards CHARM Flames and sick on east boss.

Tanks OT Jopals.

When East boss dies, assist MA to clean up the adds.

Applying sustained DPS to WEST miniboss (Sparing Heart`s Flame) by assigned groups -- Know your group number please.

Tanks: Tank your miniboss where it spawns.

Stage 3: Miniboss - Wafting Heat Aftermath

Casts a line of sight (LoS) AE Lingering Heat - 190k DD + MANA DRAIN (Caster PB, 750' AE range).

Casters & Healers - Hide behind the nearby trees. 

Casters come out into line of sight to DPS between the AE casts; trigger reminds you when AE is incoming.

Healers - Stay behind tree and position so that you're able to Splash to hit the raid just after the AE fires; trigger reminds you when AE is about to fire.

Random type adds spawn in pairs; one per miniboss.  When only one miniboss alive only one add spawns.

Both minibosses require damage to some degree otherwise their spells are cast more quickly.  Message on screen: Your opponent grows frustrated by lack of a real fight. Since it is note being harmed, it takes the time to cast its spells faster.

Interminable Lightness of Being   Flammable - Increase Spell Damage Taken by 99% to 100% (24s, single-target)
(EAST)   1st person: You are ready to burn!
   1st person: You are now vulnerable to flames!
   
Note: Targets 10 players at a time.
   
   On Fire - 181k DD + 181k DoT (24s, single-target)
   1st person: You are very much on fire.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

When event starts the entry door to the room locks.

Drusella Sathir has an AURA DD, targets players by name and paths towards their location emoted.  Adjust position to avoid her AURA.

25 minute timed event.

Stage 1: Add Waves

We have 3 minutes, 35 seconds to complete the stage before next stage goes active.

Various adds spawn when we enter event area.

Avoid being caught in the animated bladestorm Whirlwind Slash AE - Warning trigger will emote when it's incoming for melee to back away.  Colorful rings appear around mob when AE in effect.  Bladestorms root themselves when their Whirlwind Slash AE fires allowing tanks to easily back out to avoid the damage and then re-engage.

Casters randomly emoted by ancient skull mobs.  When emoted, tank the mob (it hits weak, 3k - 12k).  Do not fade!  You won't have to hold aggro, the mob will stay on you even with Necros DoTing.


Tanks:

Bladestorms:
  • Position Bladestorms North-West (NW) side of the room
  • Bladestorms root themselves when their Whirlwind Slash AE fires allowing tanks to easily back out to avoid the damage and then re-engage

An ancient skull: Don't tank these, leave them be.  Skulls target a caster player by emote and that person tanks it.

An animated cudgel: Position them South-West (SW) side of the room.


MA Kill Order: Skulls, Cudgels then Bladestorms.

Necros focus on the Bladestorms to be most effective.


Stage 2: Goos and Haunts

We have 3 minutes, 40 seconds to complete the stage before next stage goes active.

One of the mechanics in play for this stage involves haunted bones and a glob of goo.  While these mobs are alive they spawn adds continuously.

Haunted bones and goos are susceptible FIRE or COLD spells as follows:

A pile of haunted bones-->USE FIRE DAMAGE SPELLS
A glob of goo-->USE COLD DAMAGE SPELLS

The glob of goo spawns little goo adds targeted at random players.  The goos path slowly towards the player.

Everyone optimize spell lineup accordingly for this stage.


Tanks:

Position Spirits North-West (NW) side of the room.

Position Hexbone and Gnawer adds South-West (SW) side of the room.


Coffin Traps:

Rogue by assign needs to lockpick the trap or we'll suffer a penalty setting it off.  There's an achievement to this effect.

Tomb: a shuddering crypt

There are also baskets that spawn gnawer adds.  But we keep one basket up to prevent Golems from activating.


Stage 3: Golems

SIX golems around the room activate when coffins and barrels (baskest) are down.

Trigger warns 4-5 seconds before golems go active.

Everyone:

- RANGE DPS GOLEMS ONLY.  This helps prevent Drusella ending up at a Golem tank position and everyone avoids the golem AE + Pull effect.
- INNER SHIFT as marked in the diagram.  The golems AE prevents shifting using the outer area as normal.

Tanks:

- Position Golem as indicated (download map for markers).
- During Bones/Goos stage the golems become targetable.  Ensure you set your assigned golem in ETW accordingly before golems activate.
- Be in your TANK SPOT and pull the golem to you, otherwise the golem will pull you to it making it impossible to move while pull is in effect.




Stage 4: Sarnak - Di`Zok

Three named Sarnak Di`Zok enter the room from the west and attack (Athises, Bhaleus, Deutocia)

Killing the three Di`Zok completes the event.

Kill order doesn't matter unless going for Serial Sarnak Killer achievement.

Targets players by name at 45 second intervals and paths to them.

Various adds spawn throughout event.

An ancient skull   Bite from the Beyond - 300k DD (single-target)
   Panic - Fear + Snare - Target AE (10' range) - 4 targets
   
   * Notes:
   If mob's target isn't a caster class it'll cast Bite from the Beyond and kill its target.
   It'll then seek out a caster by a 1st person emote only.  See example below when I was targeted.
    
   Action: When you're emoted, just tank it -- Do not fade!  Hits weak on purpose, 3k - 12k range. 
You won't have to hold aggro from others, it'll stay on you even with Necros DoTing it.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

KoS trash is up in zone and in event area.

Before event triggered, room trash can be aggro'd and killed.  In event area the four named and Drusella do not aggro.

Drusella Sathir located in the first room and paths around.   Named can trigger event via hail.  When event triggered, the room exit is closed off.

Non-KoS named located in each corner of the room are part of clue mechanic.  Ignore them unless you are assigned to the clue team.

At HP% of Drusella Sathir various adds come into play.

20 minute timed event.


Strategy:

Short discs on Drusella until 90% -- Then DPS:
  • Rangers/Casters kill Bloodthirsty gnawers adds
  • Melee stay on Drusella until 82%
At 82% - EVERYONE clean up adds!

At 55% - FULL BURN -- Take Drusella to 34% and STOP!  Then EVERYONE clean up adds except:
  • Necros stay on Drusella
  • Mages, once adds down to 2-3 -- Get back on Drusella
At 34% - EVERYONE clean up adds!


Clue Mechanic: Players assigned by group and name and directed to a channel.  Prep done within channel.

Dusty Tombs: Avoid AE's near these tombs or they will AE DD the entire raid if destroyed and kill many players.


Tanks:

- Tank spirits, hex protectors and bloodthirsty gnawers at campfire.
- Tank assigned to: An_Arcron_dread_magus, A_Wulthan_crusader, A_Krellnakor_vanguard - They spawn at door.  Pull them to Drusella Sathir and she kills them.
- Tanks pull unstable gnawers away from raid so explosion AEs don't hit raid.


Healers:

- Word of Greater Restoration spell useful to remove Pain Touch DoT

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Old world style zone crawl with mixture of SI mobs.

Jopals at ZI landing point SI.  Beyond that can run invis to 2nd castle area, hug west wall.  From there, we fight in to reach first miniboss.

Guardian of Doomfire gatekeeper en route to General Reparm.

Currently if you die your corpse is sent to the zone GRAVEYARD inside the instance.  Please try and avoid clicking to bind when you die otherwise we have no way to call/rez unless we're at your corpse in the graveyard which is not likely during the event.

Guardian of Doomfire and General Reparm are IMMUNE TO FIRE SPELLS - Adjust your spell sets to be effective!  Make sure your pets do not have fire proc weapons.

Guardian of Doomfire:

React to emote when targeted by running away from raid to avoid AE'ing everyone when Doom fades.  There are TWO campfires used as run to locations.  When emoted, you don't want to be near the other person emoted so make sure you're both not at the same campfire.

Tanks drag imps to corner for Enchanters to MEZ.

Enchanters MEZ Imps.

Everyone BURN Guardian of Doomfire from engage.


General Reparm:

VIRAL emote Expanding Embers -- When targeted RUN NORTH to THRONE / Chair area.  Do not return until DoT faded (trigger reminds you). 

When emoted RUN NORTH TO THRONE.

Kill FROGS that spawn at timed intervals.  Enchanters MEZ extras.  MTO: Reparm SWAPS places with frogs periodically which also blurs.

At 80% Reparm - TWO Bone Burner adds spawn EAST and WEST and burnt bones spawn on a timer while burners up.

Watch timing for frog kill vs 81% point -- We do not want a frog spawning the moment bone burner adds spawn.

Everyone BURN short timer discs on EAST Bone Burner quickly!  Then DO WEST Bone Burner!  -- Once both down the burnt bone adds stop spawning.

Assigned KITERS - SNARE and KITE burnt bones COUNTER CLOCKWISE around room.

Enchanters - TASH burnt bone adds so snare lands more easily.

At 50% Reparm - TWO big SNAILS spawn - Assigned tanks - Face snails away from raid (frontal AE DoT 200k per tick + Snare).

DPS EAST Snail to 15% and STOP (DoTs off at 25%) -- Then DPS WEST Snail to 5% -- Then we kill both snails at the same time.

FULL BURN on Snails - The frogs stop spawning for only 5 minutes once snails spawn and then start spawning again.

Enchanters MEZ any frogs that spawn during snails.

At Reparm HP: 40%, 15% and 1% - TWO Bone Burner adds spawn and burnt bones as before.  Reparm HP locked while burnt bone skeleton adds alive.

Casters & Healers:

Position just outside AE Rampage of Reparm at base of south ramp - middle of ramp there is an elevated half-wall.  You can stand there and reach Reparm and both Snails.

Clerics - During Snails if you're in a snail MT group make sure you're at middle half-wall so that your HP Aura of Divinity is landing on your tanks.

Reparm group healers, position base of south ramp at the bottom of the half-wall outside of AE rampage.  Your HP aura will hit MTO there.

Healers - During Snails it's possible emoted players in your group will be OUT OF RANGE of your heals when they run to throne.  Adjust your position accordingly to ensure they get the heals they need.


DPS & ADPS:

Short timer discs only for Bone Burners.

FULL BURN for SNAILS.


Tanks:

Be ready for General Reparm swapping places with frog pyronilings and quickly re-engage.  When Reparm swaps he blurs as well.

MTO - When General Reparm swaps; drag Reparm back to tank spot each time.

Trigger warns when General Reparm swaps with a frog.

MTO you need to TANK SWAP once your discs are down.  Make sure you're on the ball with this please.  It's more effective for your survival and helps healers a lot especially during Snails and burnt bones when healing is taxed more.


Inside Instance - Moving to 2nd Castle

Once the see invis Jopals are killed at zone-in, invis and move south along the west side as the blue line indicates to the 2nd castle area.  If you aggro along the way please FADE or DIE to avoid training the raid.  Thanks.

Snails - A throne guardian

Two spawn south at 50%.

Snails have a frontal AE DoT for 200k.

Snails also have an aura like effect that pulses on at intervals short range around itself.  Players caught in aura get a big damage 12s DoT.

When snails spawn frogs stop spawning for approximately five minutes.

If both snails do not die within approximately 30s of each other then penalty slugs spawn.  The slugs have a lot of HP.

Bone Burners & Burnt Bones

At Reparm HP: 80%, 40%, 15% and 1% - TWO Bone Burner adds spawn on each side of event area east and west where the ramps lead up to the doorway opening.

Bone Burners are stationary and don't hit back. 

While Bone Burners are alive burnt bones skeleton adds spawn at timed intervals.

Burnt Bones skeleton adds do not summon unless damaged.  NPC proper name: A burnt bones

Reparm HP locked while burnt bone skeleton adds alive.

Frogs briefly stop spawning during Bone Burners but once one of the bone burners dies the frogs usually resume spawning shortly after.



Start event

Old world style zone crawl with mixture of SI mobs.

Jopals at ZI landing point SI.  Beyond that can run invis to 2nd castle area.  From there, we fight in to reach first miniboss.



Achievements for reference:

Slugless - Do not let the slugs spawn from the bodies of the throne guardians.
Extinguisher - Do not allow general Reparm's Expanding flames to spread.
Reign of Frogs - Do not allow more than six frogs to be alive at one time.

Work in Progress.

Waves of adds spawn from the portal to soften us up.  Then Haulers spawn and path towards iksar and a minboss spawns and then finally a pie in the sky.  Apple pie.

Stage 1: Shissar Remant Adds - 7x from portal

Stage 2:

Wave of 7 ancient iksar adds from portal.

Haulers (golems) spawn periodically one at a time a few seconds apart and path towards iksar corpses.  Golems don't appear on ETW.  Kill these quickly, or they'll reanimate iksar corpses and bring them to the portal.

While golems are spawning, Garssilor, Cinderscale (karzok miniboss) comes into play to join the fun.

Garssilor MT: Frontal AE -- Face Garssilor away from main raid please.

Several plaguebone adds come into play (An emerald plaguebone, a violet plaguebone).

Glowing rune located in middle of event room.  This suppression ward appears to extinguish Everburning Breath (EB) DoT.

The glowing rune periodically casts Fire Suppression (DD + Stun), and 10s later casts Mystical Suppression (Melee + Spell Silence).

When you are hit by Everburning Breath (EB), move into Line-of-Sight (LoS) of the glowing rune in the middle of the event area.

You have a 10 second window when the rune fires Fire Suppression -- That should remove EB -- Then get out of LoS before the rune casts Mystical Suppression to avoid being SILENCED.

Meteor Click Team

Meteor mechanic comes into play during veteran adds.

I've been assigned to the click team, now what?

In order get the achievement  Stalwart Guardian you will need to successfully complete an EoE raid acting as a shield clicker.  As this event is heavily dependent upon successful meteor blocking, it behooves you to learn how to do it.  When you are appointed to the click team you will need to do the following:
  • Join flclickers:clickers.  You will be assigned a place in Team 1, 2, or 3.
     
  • Make a hotkey.  You will need to make a hotkey that clicks your Defender's Shield, alerts the channel that you have clicked, and then /vtells the members of the next team that it is now their turn. 
     
  • Loot a Defender's Shield from the /advloot window.  Defender's Shield drop after A Kar'zok Soldier is killed.  There are only 7 of them.  It looks like this:    Should you die or leave the zone, your shield will poof; Don't do that.
     
  • Move to the center of the meteor pattern that is nearest to campfire and hit your hotkey. (Play the .mp4 below)    The meteor pattern is large, red, and pulsates towards the center.  It's easiest to find the center if your camera angle is overhead or at 3/4 perspective.  Follow the diamond shaped voids to the center of the pattern.  You will need to coordinate with your teammate(s) to make sure that all of the meteors are blocked near the campfire without duplicating efforts.  When you click the shield it makes a conical green aura with a swirling purple base.
     
  • Continue to block the meteors when it is your turn.  The click on the Defender's shield refreshes every 115 seconds.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

This is a timed event.  The event is somewhat linear.  Some minibosses spawn at the same time in different areas.

As we kill the miniboss at each stage, it respawns a short time later as a ghost version: The energies of the dead leaders of the sarnak are restored, though their forms are no longer physical.

These ghost versions come into play after stage 5, whereby we must co-ordinate and the ghosts within a certain time based on the last ghost killed.

Be aware, the ghosts can be aggro'd accidentally based on your faction.  For example, it's easy to aggro the ghost version of Magma Lord Virnax, when moving from inside the Forge back outside heading over to the Portals for the Ioulin stage.  To avoid this, just steer around Virnax, to play it safe.  If you do aggro, FD/fade please, thanks.

Over the course of the event, as each stage completes, the next stage must be engaged within a certain time, otherwise the event resets.

Moving around each stage:

There is a lot of moving around during this event.  When you move to each stage, if you are KoS (kill on sight) faction, you may accidentally early aggro the next stage and cause player deaths (including your own).  Please be aware of this, and avoid early aggro by being out of range of the mobs until the raid has engaged.

In the later stages, such as Stage 4 to 5, there are skywing drakes flying around which target areas on the ground.  It's possible to avoid aggroing the drakes, but if you do, you can fade.  In the event you can't fade, you can drag the drake with you to the next stage where the main raid will kill it.


Overview of Raid Areas:



Enchanters, Rangers & Monks:

Various mobs SELF BUFF with spells we need you to remove with your beneficial dispel.  Our text/audio trigger will indicate which mobs are casting the buff for you to dispel.  You need NPC Spell casts toggled on in your EQ filters.  If you don't know what this means, ask me in-game.

Sarnak Finesse   10000% riposte (NPC self-buff)
Sarnak Reflection   Increase Chance to Reflect Spell by 25% with up to 100% Damage (NPC self-buff)


Event Start

We prep outside the NORTH building.

Once the event is triggered, we kill three Wulthan chokidun that spawn there.  This prevents their chokidun adds from spawning periodically.

We also pull and kill the two Wulthan grand inquisitor from inside the green building to the main raid outside.  The first inquisitor is located just inside on the left, the 2nd is on the top floor.

Outside Tower 1, near the bridge.  We kill TWO Krellnakor adds.

We then pull and kill the start NPC Krellnakor Guardian Garanok.


Stage 1: General Dekloaz in First Tower

7 minutes from event start to complete this stage, or event resets.

Inside Tower 1 - Top floor - We kill two adds and General Dekloaz.

Melee - BACK AWAY when trigger fires or the visible orange aura appears around General Dekloaz.  If you don't back away, you take lots of damage and are stunned for a while.

Casters & Healers - Position on the ramp side of the room (South-West).

MT for General Dekloaz, position him NORTH EAST corner of room.

MT - General Dekloaz has a MEMBLUR - Tanks, your trigger will fire to remind to snag aggro to avoid DPS being killed.

Add Tanks - Tank adds at MAIN RAID AREA (SOUTH-WEST) -- Not near General Dekloaz.

MA - Kill order: cinderblade first, then levy, then General Dekloaz.

Stage 1 Positioning:




Stage 2: Magma Lord Virnax - Outside Forge Building

Move outside the forge building located WEST of the first tower.  There's a short angle ramp leading up to the platform and a door leading into the forge building.

Magma Lord Virnax is up along with several bodyguard adds.

We prep 10 seconds, and do a countdown to engage.

Our assigned deflect tank, when called upon, positions middle of the platform, near the steps.  Hit Deflect, then AE aggro the adds.

Assigned tanks grab your bodyguard.  Tanks reminder, NPC riposte self buff is usually on for a few seconds until we dispel it, so hold off on your melee initially

MT - Grab Magma Lord Virnax and tank in SOUTH-WEST corner of the DOORWAY CUBBY AREA.

MT - Call out if any errant bodyguard adds are hitting you, and other tanks peel them off the MT please.

MA - Kill order: bodyguards first, then Virnax.

CC Note - DO NOT KNOCKBACK/PUNT the bodyguards, please.

Stage 2 Positioning:




Stage 3: Forge Lord Wirn - Forge Building

Inside the forge building is Forge Lord Wirn and five Fereth forgemaster adds.  They are inactive due to faction, unless provoked.

MT - Forge Lord Wirn, position SOUTH-EAST.  MT does initial Deflect/Fort engage on this one.  Add tanks will peel off their forgemaster adds immediately after.

Forgemaster Tanks - Immediately after MT aggro's Wirn, snap up your assigned forgemaster and tank it at the MAIN RAID AREA.

MA Kill Order: forgemasters, then Forge Lord Wirn.

Do not hang out in the tunnel unless you are viral emote targeted.

Forge Elemental Adds:

Every 90s, three forge elemental adds spawn: Fire begins billowing out of the forges!

Forge Elemental adds spawn from the forges around the room, starting from EAST forge, clockwise, one add from each for total of three.

Assigned add tanks, snap these up when they spawn (your trigger will indicate spawn).

Everyone assist MA when called upon to kill them quickly!

10s after the above warning emote, each elemental target's a random player and hits them with Wildfire Detonation 129k DD + 50k DoT, 30s VIRAL AE 65' range.

When YOU are targeted, your trigger will fire - RUN INTO HALLWAY - Return when trigger tells you.

Non-KoS Faction Portal DPS Team:

During Prep - Non-KoS faction players will be asked to come forward, and we'll assign a handful by name to be tasked as an advance team to destroy the TOP portal inside the NW Building.

When Forge Lord Wirn reaches 10% HP - the Non-KoS Faction DPS Portal Team heads over to the TOP portal area.  When Wirn dies, the portal will pop and the team destroys it.

Once Wirn dies, the MAIN RAID immediately heads over to portals and kills the WEST ADDS + PORTAL -- then kills EAST ADDS + PORTAL.



Stage 3 Positioning:




Stage 4: Portals, Adds, & High Arcron Ioulin - North-West

Outside NW building are three portals (an Arcron portal).  Two outside and one at the top of the building.  Adds spawn from the portals at timed intervals, there are also static adds around each portal.

Kill the WEST ADDS + PORTAL -- then finish with EAST ADDS + PORTAL.  Remember, our advance non-kos portal team has already taken out the TOP portal.

When portals are down, High Arcron Ioulin spawns at the last portal destroyed.

A timed intervals, Ioulin splits into three fake versions.  The fake's HP%'s reflect the real Ioulin.  In other words, if Ioulin is at 50% when fakes spawn, the fakes all pop at 50% HP.

MT - PULL Ioulin INSIDE, MAIN FLOOR.  So raid avoids drakes from outside.

A cinder skywing:

In the event of aggro, when called upon by MA, kill these.

Similar to drakes in Skyfire zone, where they fly above and cast a ring on the ground, and then cast Cinder Sputum - Target AE 130k DD + 40k DoT + Snare (12s).

Tanks: face cinder skywings AWAY from the main raid please.  These have a Frontal AE 88k DD + Knockback (Aggressive Buffet).
 
Stage 4 Positioning:



Stage 5: High Vizier Ri`zyr - Green Building Top Floor - North East

Ri`zyer single-target CHARMS at 1 minute intervals (usually the MT).  10s warning emote: Draconic runes begin to coalesce around Ri`zyr.

Casters & Healers - Position on the ramp side of the room (South-EAST).

MT - High Vizier Ri`zyr, position NORTH-WEST corner of room.  Tanks be ready to aggro when MT is charmed (your trigger will fire to indicate).

MA - Kill order: High Vizier Ri`zyr, unless other adds (drakes/inquisitors) aggro'd as raid moves up to room.

When High Vizier Ri`zyr dies, eventually a ghost version appears.

GHOST Versions of each Miniboss:

Groups assigned during prep to Dekloaz, Virnax, Wirn, and Ri`zyr.  Know your group number (#), as the assignments are to a miniboss area where each ghost is located.

When the final REAL miniboss dies, assigned groups are to head to their areas.  Watch out for flying drakes. :)

Tanks, make sure your healer is in range before engaging your ghost.

Forge Lord Wirn Groups - DO NOT ENGAGE/AGGRO Forge Lord Wirn until directed to do so.  This will prevent the timed forge elemental from spawning.  In the meantime, these groups can help DPS Virnax, which is nearby.

Take ghosts down to 20% HP and HOLD.

When at 20%, we call on Forge Lord Wirn assigned groups to engage their ghost and take it down to 20% and HOLD.  The nearby groups assigned to Virnax can help DPS Wirn down.

With all four ghosts at 20%, we take them down to 10%, then 5%, so it's controlled, and then a KILL NOW is made in /raidsay.

When your ghost is dead, head over to Ioulin building (NW), GO INSIDE, MAIN FLOOR.

MT pulls Ioulin down from TOP to MAIN FLOOR and we do our BURN to kill within the timer.

* Reminder: Each ghost is a lesser version of its former.  However, they still have mechanics their real versions have, just to a lesser extent in some cases.  For example, the ghost version of Forge Lord Wirn periodically spawns a single Forge elemental, as opposed to three.  But!  A forge elemental is not confined to the Forge area, due to the nature of the mechanic, it targets a player immediately when it spawns.  That player may not be in the Forge, but some where else.  Therefore the forge elemental will b-line it to that player.  Just keep this in mind please, as any area must be ready to deal with adds by killing them, as well as dealing with any other normal mechanics associated with their miniboss.

Stage 5 High Vizier Ri`zyr - Room Raid Positioning:




This is a preliminary write up, which will be amended accordingly based on our experiences and feedback provided by our raiders.

No Fakes - Do not kill the fake mirror image versions of the Acron sarnak.
Ghosted - Defeat 3 or fewer undying ghosts.
Foul Breath - Individual: Avoid being hit by the drakes' Cinder Sputum breath attack.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Emanating Flames - Orange Auras - Three spawn random locations around the room.  STAY JUST OUTSIDE OF THESE AURAS

Snowblaze Gaze Emote - Frost Ring around Players:

At timed intervals, Snowblaze targets three players who are then hit by the Freezing Pulse (197k DoT + Root + Silence).

Each player targeted by the gaze emote has a > FROST RING < around them, to visually indicate to others they are targeted.

Flame tanks, can move their flame add close to a frost ring player to break their shield.


Reaper Tank:

Position reaper WEST as indicated in the diagram below (map also included).

Face Reaper WEST (away from raid), so his frontal AE doesn't hit raid.


Assaulter Adds - Kiters & Tanks:

Kiters assigned for each FROST assaulter add.  Kite in Counter-Clockwise (CCW) pattern, as indicated on diagram (map file has visual markers to help if needed).

When tanking a Flame add, bring it close to players targeted by the Frost ring (gaze emoted players, they will show visibly with a ring around them).

FLAME assaulter add Tanks: When your add dies, build aggro on kiter adds, in case the kiter dies, you can pickup their add and resume kiting it.


HEALERS:
  • Clerics IoS's on engage.  TB CR and GHoT as assigned
  • Druids TB SOTW as assigned
  • Splashes!  Maintain GHoT on your group
  • Shaman - Work out who's slowing which assaulter during prep.  Remember slow on reaper.

Strategy:

On ENGAGE - Everyone DPS Reaper until 90% HP -- Then STOP and kill adds.

Once ALL assaulter adds are dead, with only Snowblaze and Reaper remaining, we want to focus on a 35% HP gap between both.  We believe if we go over 40%; based on past experience, we suffer a big AE and wipe.  If we keep their HP too close together, we get penalty adds, such as spheres (somewhere under 10%).

Here is how we want to do this -- Once assaulter adds are down:

DPS Reaper until 65% HP, then ALL move to Snowblaze until 80% HP.

Then DPS Reaper until 45%, then ALL move to Snowblaze until 60%.

DPS Reaper until 25%, then ALL move to Snowblaze until 40%.

Then finally KILL REAPER, finish off Snowblaze.


Reminder: Timed BEETLE add - 50 second~ intervals

Beetle spawns SOUTH room -- Tank beetle SOUTH on ramp where campfire is.  Players with mana DO NOT WANT TO BE NEAR BEETLE, or suffer mana drain.


MA - Kill order: FLAME assaulter adds first, then FROST assaulter adds.

How to Complete EOTD2 Achievement to remove Zone-wide Debuff - Aura of Kor-Sha

Yay!  It's My Turn To Break a Box in The Kar'zok event;  How Do I Get My EoD2 Achievement?

- Where is the box I have to break?

The box you have to break is in the room behind Snowblaze.  There is a purple barrier that you have to get past.  If you run into the purple barrier you will be tossed back about 500 units into the room.

- How do I get past the purple barrier?

There are two ways to get past the purple barrier, the proper way and the cheaty way. 

The proper way:

The purple barrier is brought down by exposure to shield fragments from the Frost/Flame Assaulters' shield.  When an Assaulter is caught in the targeted aura that Snowblaze casts on players, that Assaulter's shield will break.  There is an emote that indicates that this has happened.  When an Assaulter's shield shatters a fragment of that shield drops to the ground.  That fragment must be picked up from the ground, equipped in a secondary slot, and brought to the purple barrier at Snowblaze.  With the fragment equipped one may pass safely through the purple barrier.  When the equipped fragment makes contact with the purple barrier the purple barrier and the shield fragment are weakened.  When the fragment has contacted the barrier 3 times that fragment is destroyed.  When the barrier comes into contact with a fragment 9 times, the barrier is destroyed.  So, 3 shield fragments will bring down the purple barrier eliminating the need to have the fragment equipped to pass through the barrier safely.

The cheaty way:

You may pass through the purple barrier using Shadow Step effects (ie Mistwalk for druids) if you angle it just right.

- How do I break the box?  Now what?

So, finding yourself inside of Snowblaze's room there are 6 boxes scattered around the room that can be targeted  and broken.  You need to break one (and ONLY ONE) of those boxes.  You may break the box using a melee weapon or spells or by using a pet.  Do NOT use your pet to break your box!  When the box is broken you will receive a buff call Unstable Potion (greenish icon).  This buff has a 5 minute timer attached to it.  Before Unstable Potion wears off you need to position yourself in front of either Snowblaze or The Reaper and be hit with Breath of Atrebe.  When you are hit with Breath of Atrebe you receive an additional buff called Unstable Infusion (reddish icon).  When you receive Unstable Infusion you are assured of receiving your EoD2 achievement BUT ONLY when the event is won.  After receiving Unstable Infusion you may safely die.

- My pet broke open the box, how come I didn't get the Unstable Potion buff?

YOU FOOL!  If your pet breaks open the box, your pet will receive the Unstable Potion buff instead of you.  Now even though pets are people too, they are not willing to share the achievement with you.  You are SOL.  Don't let your pet break the box!

- I broke open the box and got the Unstable Potion buff, but I died.  Now what?

YOU FOOL!  If you have broken open your box and received the buff Unstable Potion, but you are silly enough to die before being hit with Breath of Atrebe you will lose Unstable Potion and you will not receive your EoD2 achievement.  You are SOL.  Don't die before being hit with Breath of Atrebe!

- I broke open the box and got the Unstable Potion buff and to be safe I gated out.

YOU FOOL!  If you have broken your box and received the buff Unstable Potion, but you are silly enough leave the zone or instance before being hit with Breath of Atrebe, you will lose Unstable Potion and you will not receive your EoD2 achievement.  You are SOL.  Don't leave the zone/instance before being hit with Breath of Atrebe!

Snowblaze - Freezing & Burning Rage

Possible balance mechanic, with unbalance resulting in power up.

While in Burning Rage state, Gaze emotes are fake, and Emanating Flames is not as effective.  This makes it impossible to shatter shields on any assaulter adds.

Freezing Rage:

Related /ach: Freezing Rage - Win after pushing the Kar`Zok snowblaze into her cold rage for at least five minutes.


Burning Rage:

Applying damage to reaper (snowblaze's partner), causes Snowblaze to react (power up).  There is a threshold for this, we believe it is around 9-10% of each other.  Subject to change (WIP).

Related /ach: Burning Rage - Win after pushing the Kar`Zok snowblaze into her burning rage for at least five minutes.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Assist MA, priority kill ADDS FIRST, then DPS Cactiikii (boss).

Cactiikii AE rampages, we denote a location to tank it.  Adds are killed in a location outside AE Rampage from Cactiikii.

Boss spawns adds at TIMED intervals AND HP%.

A burgeoning succulent spawns every 1 min 20 sec, approximately.  When killed, spawns: a pitiful succulent, a surreal succulent, a spiteful succulent

Boss spawns HP% adds at: 83, 67, 51, 35, 19.  Adds are: a pitiful succulent, a surreal succulent, a spiteful succulent

Timing is important, as we want to avoid killing a burgeoning to get three adds at the same time we hit a HP% and spawn three additional adds.

Boss goes INVULNERABLE when too many adds are up.  We must keep pace killing adds.  Your triggers will indicate when boss is invulnerable and vulnerable.

At around 30% of Cactiikii, emotes begin targeting two random players at 40-45s~ intervals with a BIG YELLOW RING - everyone around the player in the ring area is hit with Accumulated Spines: 130k DoT + Melee SLOW + Snare + Decrease Heals Taken by 100% (24s). -- RUN AWAY WHEN EMOTED -- OTHERS STAY AWAY FROM YELLOW RING AREA AROUND OTHER PLAYERS.


A renegade succulent:

These explode for a lot of damage (emote warns, also has visual ring around mob, hard to miss it)

An assigned tank is tasked to MOVE RENEGADE SUCCULENTS AWAY FROM RAID -- Snare first, or it mob roots itself if moved too quickly.


A sprouting succulent:

Spawns random locations, if not killed grow into a renegade succulent.

Sprouting adds do not hit back.  Appear on track.  We are currently only killing if going for Achievement: Brown Thumb


MA Kill Order: A burgeoning succulent, then splits: a pitiful succulent (these mez players), a surreal succulent (these charm players), a spiteful succulent.

an atrocious succulent   Speculation based on Atrocious /achievement, when pitiful/surreal/spiteful grow/left up (?) turns into/spawns (?) an atrocious succulents.
   
a monstrous succulent   Spawns at the beginning of the event, following some lore.
   
a sprouting succulent   Special add: Spawns random locations, if not killed grow into a renegade succulent.
   They do not hit back.
   Appear on track (can also /target them).
   Note: We are only killing if going for Achievement: Brown Thumb

Notes:

- Some/All of the above adds appear to cast the aforementioned spells: Shield of NeedlesIrritating Spines.
- Currently, zone contains normal trash adds in addition to event adds.  Zone trash appears to respawn as well.



Cactiikii - Start event, plant clicky

NPC at ZI gives out an item to click on the ground to plant and trigger the event script.  The location where you can click is limited, and emotes messages indicating which areas are permitted.

Upon planting, the event begins:

[Thu Jan 11 20:54:45 2018] The plant quickly expands in short, jerky movements.

... A monstrous succulent spawns:

[Thu Jan 11 20:54:57 2018] Paruaa says, 'Hail, a monstrous succulent'

[Thu Jan 11 20:55:00 2018] A tiny scream can be heard underfoot as the succulent takes to the fertile soil. It grows rapidly.


...

[Thu Jan 11 20:55:40 2018] The succulent grows rapidly in the fertile soil, producing rustling and snapping sounds as the plant's flesh unfolds.

... A monstrous succulent is killed:

[Thu Jan 11 20:56:22 2018] A monstrous succulent has been slain by Vulvana!

... A few seconds later, boss goes active:

[Thu Jan 11 20:56:25 2018] A high-pitched voice booms, 'Did you think you would be sneaky? Now you've angered great Cactiikii!'



Achievements for reference:

Atrocious - Allow at least three sets of the weird little succulents to grow together into atrocious succulents.
Green Thumb - Allow all the sprouting succulents to mature.
Brown Thumb - Kill all the sprouting succulents before they can mature.
