Brief Event Overview

Triggered event located at zoneline door to Aalishai.  Speaking with both NPCs starts event.

The Conflagration Generals are: Smiting Relentless Shard and Glorious Battleworn Monolith

Generals have various emotes that indicate locations and actions; such as moving generals far apart, near each other, to bridge, towers, etc.

Balance both bosses within 2%~ HP.

Whorling wildfire adds spawn at emoted player locations.

Jopal blazebomber adds spawn in the two nearby towers.  Blazebombers cast a Target AE.


Strategy

Know your group number.

Raid split by group number and divided between both bosses. 

Balance both bosses within 2%~ HP.

Use STUNS on whorling wildfire adds to cause massive damage.

Kill Team assigned for Jopal Blazebomber Adds in Towers.  One group per tower.  Blazebombers spawn approximately 3 mins after event begins and 45s~ intervals onward.

Kill Team for Jopal Blazebomber Adds in Towers:

Tower Add Kill team for Blazebomers located at top of towers.

Towers located NORTH and SOUTH with a bridge connecting a narrow valley.

Using our Prince Ralaifin in-game map markers are labeled as Tower 4 and Tower 5.

When a Jopal Blazebomber spawns, immediately engage and kill it as quickly as possible.

Blazebomber adds cast a Target AE that hits portions of the raid.


Tanks - Moving Generals

Tanks move Generals based on emotes.

Emotes occur at 1 min~ intervals.

General moves must be done in 10 to 12 seconds or FAILURE AE penalty occurs.  AE damage increases in ranks for subsequent failures.

Following a SUCCESS emote, tanks return to base camp with your General.

Our short naming convention for referring to each General is as follows:

SHARD= Smiting Relentless Shard
MONOLITH= Glorious Battleworn Monolith

Main Tanks for SHARD and MONOLITH respectively have designated NORTH and SOUTH locations to use unless logical combinations come into play.

Examples of logical combinations requiring adjustment below.

Example 1 - BRIDGE FAR APART:

[Thu Apr 23 22:54:59 2020] The Generals must be moved far from each other!
[Thu Apr 23 22:54:59 2020] The Generals must be moved to the bridge!

Tanks would move as follows:

SHARD TANK MOVES GENERAL NORTH BRIDGE

Example 2 - TOWERS FAR APART:

An Efreeti boss.

To make the changes, in game go to Options (ALT-O), Display tab.  On that page there's a Particles area with three little tabs: Spells, Env and Player.

Trigger package updated:

DELETE OLD TRIGGER PACKAGE "Empyr - The Conflagration Generals", BEFORE IMPORTING NEW!

It is critical to delete old trigger set before importing new, otherwise you will end up with duplicate and incorrect triggers.

Separate Extra Trigger Package FOR TANKS:

Extra trigger package for TANKS ONLY has been added.  This separates the emotes for moving Generals out of the main package.  This will lessen the noise for main raid.

May 1, 2020 - Adjusts & Triggers Updated

We got a bit jammed up on this event last night.

Boss Moves:

Raiena and tank crew worked hard on improving boss moves with success.  Nice work! :)


Whorling Wildfire Adds

One issue we had in this area last night was wildfire adds spawning on players in the towers.

Adjust in this area is that each tower group will have at least one punter, a Ranger for example.  When an add pops top of tower, the Ranger punts it off to ground level and announces to the raid the tower direction (North or South).  Stunners then immediately run over and kill it with stuns.


Bosses Out of Balance:

We had an issue with out of balance on bosses.  We also know now that out of balance causes the mana drain AE.

Two Adjusts:
  • DoT classes, such as Necros and Shaman, to DoT BOTH Bosses
  • When bosses move - Everyone STOP DPS - MAs call DPS OFF to help as well

Trigger package updated:

It should be fine to merge the main trigger package update with current.

I adjusted the interrupt speech for when a whorling wildfire add spawns at YOU (1st person emote).  The trigger pattern was fine but EQ sends the 3rd person emote just before the 1st person and as a result without the interrupt set properly the 1st person never alerts that you were targeted.
