Umbral Plains - Doomshade

* Minimum to be Piggy/85'/pushed into raid: No requirement


Brief Event Overview

Doomshade main boss.

Doomshade goes active and inactive during event.

Each time Doomshade goes inactive, a Dark Master spawns.

Fading Shade adds spawn as the event progresses.

When a Dark Master dies, Doomshade goes active again.

Gathering Shadows - Blue Aura - Expands periodically if Gathering Shadow adds not killed in time


Curses & Shadows:

Curses - Viral Effect - Players emoted hit with Shade's Doom DoT and spreads to nearby players.  When DoT fades, Boom Shade Target AE fires.

Shadows - Players emoted have 15 seconds to move away before being hit with Target AE 400k DD + Mana Drain + Stun (Impending Darkness).


Strategy

DO NOT HAIL Doomshade -- Otherwise event will start.

Curses - Viral Effect - React immediately - This effect is deadly.

Shadows - Several players emoted at same time.  Both Doomshade and Dark Masters do this emote.

Avoid Blue Aura.

Designated Groups - Assist MA2 - Move and kill Gathering Shadow adds that spawn at specifical locations around event area.


Tanks:
- Doomshade and Dark Master adds drop aggro at times; react when trigger alerts to get aggro quickly


Healers:
-


MA Kill Order: Dark Masters, Fading Shades

Details of NPCs/Mechanics



Doomshade

Doomshade - No Longer Active: The Dark Masters summon the Doomshade to rest in the pool. Doomshade becomes insubstantial. One of them moves to engage.

Doomshade - Active: The death of one of the Dark Masters enrages the Doomshade. It emerges from the pool.


Impending Darkness    Target AE 400k DD + Mana Drain + Stun (150' range)
Warning Emote: Doomshade sends shadows at SoandsoA, SoandsoB, and SoandsoC.
1st Person Effect: Darkness looms over you.
Note:
- Targets AE at emoted players (15s warning to move)

[Sun Jan 09 00:03:11 2022] Doomshade hit Clown for 235736 points of unresistable damage by Impending Darkness.

Shade's Doom    Viral 100k DoT (30' range, 24s)
Cast: Boom Shade on Duration Fade
Boom Shade - Target AE 375k + Knockback + Stun (100' range)
Warning Emote: The Doomshade curses SoandsoA and SoandsoB.
1st Person Effect: Pain builds in your bones.
Note:
- Players emoted hit with Shade's Doom DoT and spreads to nearby players.  When DoT fades, Boom Shade Target AE fires
- Number of players emoted at a time increases as event unfolds

Gathering Shadows - Blue Aura - Expands periodically if Gathering Shadow adds not killed in time.

Adds Spawn Emote: Shadows begin to gather.

Shadow Gathered Emote: A shadow is gathered.


Gathering Shadow   Gathering Shadows - 500k DoT + Mana Drain + SILENCE + Blind (single target, 12s)
(Blue Aura)1st Person Effect: Gathered shadows grab and tear at you.

A dark master   Piercing Defense - Self Buff - 1500 Damage Shield (single target, 120h)
Impending Darkness - Target AE 400k DD + Mana Drain + Stun (150' range)
Warning Emote: a dark master sends shadows at SoandsoA, SoandsoB, and SoandsoC.
1st Person Effect: Darkness looms over you.
Note:

Start Event

Event is triggered by hailing Doomshade.



Achievements:

-- Don't allow all the shadows to gather.

- None Together Now
-- Don't allow any shadows to gather.

- Forced to Fade
-- Defeat all Fading Shades before the next group spawn.



Lore:

Event Reset:
[Sun Jan 09 00:05:56 2022] Left with no foes, Doomshade returns from where it came.



Auras

The following are the absolute minimum graphic settings to see auras.  Zoning is required for the changes to take effect.

To make the changes, in game go to Options (ALT-O), Display tab.  On that page there's a Particles area with three little tabs: Spells, Env and Player.
