his point is that there is a huge amount of damage being taken out at lanys - i brought this up as well regardless of lifescourge or not - if we get a calix ae and the dot tick and the lichs - however unlikely or unlucky that is.... we will lose alot of people. there were a couple times when i had group topped off on healing and then bam! 3 are instagibbed and the remaining 3 are at 3-10% left on life. (*shaman procced ALOT of preincarnations out there)
Oh I understand completely. I was only pointing out how much impact the debuff has and how preventable it is.
I've been reviewing the pros and cons of our recent positioning as well, and as helpful it is to avoid the knockback and dispel from Lanys, the distance is leaving our MTO and melee far too exposed (which is what you're saying and Luth/Lisard are experiencing as well).
Your point last night also regarding Shaman group healing being unable to reach your melee at Lanys is equally valid. It's the same for G2 MTO on Lanys where Trolbiterr and I are not able to land ours either. What's worse is, rebuffing DI, Symbol, GhoTs, Wards, and Druid/Shm Growth, and Cleric/Pal/Enc Auras (HP/Mit) are all out of range with our current positioning. These things are having an impact, and it's outweighing the benefits of merely avoiding the knockback/dispel.
The long and short here is, we need to revert back to our other positioning where Lanys and Calix are on opposing walls at the 1st pillar and the raid is in between at the corner area. From that setup we regain our rebuffing/aura factors, benefit the most from the collective healing (splashes, HoTs), it centralizes our CC, and allows melee to alternate more efficiently between Calix/Lanys AND Sparks.
