HELP !!

I cannot log in.  I get to the Server select fine, but when i click play the screen goes black.  I have to cntrl/alt/delete to get anything to change and it gives me the "not responding."  I cannot get into Sony Players site either.

I can (or could) log into the Bristlebane server, but i noticed a text in that window stating that some of my XML files were not compatible and to /loadskin default 1, i did this several times and it continued to give me the same message.  I then /loadskin and i had 2 options; (i dont remember the exact text on the options) but something like use current skin and default old.  I tried the current skin one a couple times and recieved the same text, I clicked the default old option and it crashed the game, and everytime i try to get in now I crash.

you need to edit your ini file and set your ui to the default. then figure what part of your ui is causing the problem.

I understand WHAT you are saying with that...its the HOW that escapses me.  I know enough about computers to be dangerous.  Lets see, there is the big round button on the front, thats the one that turns it on and there is this other one that......well i am not that bad (but close)

And this happened to all 3 of the comps in the house that are used for EQ at the same time.

I just found my UI Error log.  It is large, judging by what I see in it the game cannot run because its missing every file in the game.

are you using a custome ui? for one.

and also would try running the patcher for a full scan if you have not already.

no custom, default ui.  And I have run the Full Scan.  But I found a post on the forums that I am trying now, it at least got one toon in on another server.  I havent been able to do that since early last night, so I am making some progress.  But any ideas are welcomed.

since your not using a custom UI then do a search for eqclient.ini then rename it. You may want to try the same with your characters name ini too if it's still having problems. When you start EQ it will rebuild the file.
