Quick Review

*Shield AC AUG:  Put your highest AC aug in your shield always.  Shield AC contributes directly to raising your softcap, which helps you mitigate damage better.

* TYPE 3 AUG Note: Missing Dodge 8% aug Icy Prism of Avoidance.

Primary Slot:  Sympathetic Alleviating Burst [##] mana returns from your nukes.  Comes in both AUG/Weapon flavour, so you can pick it up on a weapon, and then slot in an AUG etc.

Resists: You appear to be missing one or more MPG Trials.

Quick Review

The following AUGs lack key tank heroics:

L-EAR - Ireblind Imp Heart
R-EAR - Icy Heart
WAIST - Gem of the Eleventh Seer

* TYPE 13/14 Purity: As you upgrade your visible set going forward, ALWAYS slot in Purity 25 AUGs.  This way you benefit from the gains in the interim.  They're dirt cheap from a variety of vendors now across several expansions.


* Type 3 AUG: Missing Dodge 8% aug Icy Prism of Avoidance.  This is important.


* Type 15 Chest Emblem: Your current emblem lacks key tank heroics.  Replace with the following:

VoA - Emblem of Illdaera

or interim, -1 heroics from VoA version: HoT - Emblem of Rallying Dreams

Note: Even if that's a T1 BP you have currently, swapping out your emblem to at least the HoT version if you have surplus DMs is worth it.  I think the loyalty vendor event sells aug removers that might work for emblem.  I know I used one recently to swap out a type3.

Charm AUG:  Have you updated it lately? If I recall, the /played stats portion doesn't auto-update as your character ages.  You have to pop it out, destroy it and get a new one from the NPC outside of lobby entrance.

Use raidloot.com to help narrow down any/all gear choices.  Review drop tables of targets we raid and note pieces of interest to keep an eye open for.  Having an excel spreadsheet is handy, and quick to jot down quick gear paths for short term goals.

Magelo has alternate profiles, but I find it kinda mickey mouse to work with.  But it's all personal preference really.

If you havn't already, read/refer to The Classroom post.  Frequent both forums related to your class, and possibly in-game serverwide mage channel.

The review below includes both SHORT and LONG term upgrade paths.  Obviously seasonal stuff is beyond reach until it's back in game.  The LDON paths are min/maxes, but good sideprojects after polishing off your AUG/AA and DoN/MPG deficiencies.

My advice is don't be overwhelmed by all there is to do.  Work on little things each game session.  If you're LFG, task out read your class forums, research different paths further and work on soloable things in the meantime.  At the same time, LFG also requires effort, so if you're not already setup with some regulars, expand out and get active in zones, ooc/shout LFG in zones related to your goals.  Tap into FLRaids channel also, different players are active at various times of the evening/day etc.


AUG Review

You appear to be from SoD era on augs.  So I'm not going to go through them all and recommend specific upgrades.
 
As a Mage, you're all about DPS.  Focus on the following as priority for AUGs:

Spell DMG
Mana, Heroic INT
HP, Heroic STA

DoN Progression - Get this done, it's important.  Tier 2 will net you 1-2k+ HP/Mana alone.

MPG Trials - Missing one or all.

Seasonal AUG Events

There are several seasonal events that result in extremely powerful AUG rewards.   Various times of the year different events are active.  You may have just missed April ones etc.  But for reference, here's a quick list of some.  When you do your AUG searching via raidloot.com, these types of augs will come up and it'll list which event they're from.  At anyrate, keep an eye open for when these events are in play.
