Event Instruction Channels

During all our raids, we have additional channels which we give specific instructions to.  If possible, please be in the channel associated with your class/role listed below:

Item Distribution Overview

Freelance uses both DKP and Random 1000 to distribute items.  All items are associated with a category, and each category tied to a ruleset; which is used for item distribution.

Current designated expansion AUG, LOOT & RUNE items require 20% Raid Attendance in order to BID/Random on them.  Retro designated expansion items are processed on demand via /random 1000 Ruleset, with normal associated base costs.  With the exception of special earmarked items (quest drops, etc).

N/A category items are distributed via Random 1000 ruleset.

LOOT category items are auctioned off in 3 rounds of open /raidsay bidding, starting at 50 DKP.  Minimum bid increments of 10 DKP at a time.  A player cannot bid beyond their Current DKP holdings.  Following no bids, an OPEN tag is associated and the Random 1000 ruleset is used (no RA needed).

Each "Real Life" person is allowed to participate, winning one AUG, LOOT, RUNE, and N/A item per night.  OPEN items still count as your item in that category for the night, and are available to anyone, including prior winners.   FFA items cost the same as their aforementioned category, but are not restricted to one per "Real Life" person.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Initial WIP.  Couple attempts Saturday May 11, 2019.

Drusella Sathir has an AURA DD, targets players by name and paths towards them.  Run away when trigger fires indicating you were emoted.

25 minute timed event.

Various adds spawn.

Avoid being caught in the animated bladestorm Whirlwind Slash AE - Warning trigger will emote when it's incoming for melee to back away.  Colorful rings appear around mob when AE in effect.

Casters you'll be emoted by ancient skull mobs.  When emoted you tank the mob (it hits weak, 3k - 12k).  Do not fade!  You won't have to hold aggro, the mob will stay on you even with Necros DoTing.

Tomb/Traps - Achievement indicates: Avoid setting off the traps on the tombs.  Placeholder.


Tanks:

- An animated bladestorm: Avoid tanking these too close together, otherwise Whirlwind Slash rings overlap and it'll be deadly.
 
- An ancient skull: Don't tank these, leave them be.  Skulls target a caster player by emote and that person tanks it.

- An animated cudgel: Placeholder.

Has an AURA - Curse of the Vault - 196k DD + Mana/Endurance drain 8666

Targets players by name, paths to them.

Various adds spawn throughout event.

An ancient skull   Bite from the Beyond - 300k DD (single-target)
   Panic - Fear + Snare - Target AE (10' range) - 4 targets
   
   * Notes:
   If mob's target isn't a caster class it'll cast Bite from the Beyond and kill its target.
   It'll then seek out a caster by a 1st person emote only.  See example below when I was targeted.
    
   Action: When you're emoted, just tank it -- Do not fade!  Hits weak on purpose, 3k - 12k range. 
You won't have to hold aggro from others, it'll stay on you even with Necros DoTing it.

May 3, 2019 - Trigger Package Updated

Good run on this last night everyone!

Our clue team lead by Dimbly did an awesome job fleshing out the mechanic.  Nice work! :)

We had been backflagging for a few weeks and finally had enough to resume where we left off.  We made good progress last night getting Drusella Sathir to 45%~!

Trigger package updated with an Ooze targeting players emote for run away from raid and a safe to return trig.

Import the trigger set to be ready for the next run!  Thanks!

Just a reminder as per our convo last week .. we need to modify the trigger for Agonizing Needles (cactus "run away" emote).  While I don't have my logs available from last week (different PC atm), I can confirm that his dot hits after 6 seconds, and the ring disappears after 12 seconds .. at that point it's safe to return (12 seconds after initial emote).  As it currently stands, the posted trigger doesn't give the "safe to return" until 24 seconds after initial emote.

Hi Kianara.  Thanks for the reminder.  I changed my personal trigger only for now and will test next Cactus run to see how it works out.  I adjusted mine to 14 seconds before safe to return fires.

Added a little more time to the Expanding Embers trigger to avoid players returning before VIRAL DoT has worn off.

As always, delete old trigger set before importing new and ensure the set is toggled on accordingly.

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

KoS trash is up in zone and in event area.

Before event triggered, room trash can be aggro'd and killed.  In event area the four named and Drusella do not aggro.

Drusella Sathir located in the first room and paths around.   Named can trigger event via hail.  When event triggered, the room exit is closed off.

Non-KoS named located in each corner of the room are part of clue mechanic.  Ignore them unless you are assigned to the clue team.

At HP% of Drusella Sathir various adds come into play.

20 minute timed event.


Strategy:

Short discs on Drusella until 90% -- Then DPS:
  • Rangers/Casters kill Bloodthirsty gnawers adds
  • Melee stay on Drusella until 82%
At 82% - EVERYONE clean up adds!

At 55% - FULL BURN -- Take Drusella to 34% and STOP!  Then EVERYONE clean up adds except:
  • Necros stay on Drusella
  • Mages, once adds down to 2-3 -- Get back on Drusella
At 34% - EVERYONE clean up adds!


Clue Mechanic: Players assigned by group and name and directed to a channel.  Prep done within channel.

Dusty Tombs: Avoid AE's near these tombs or they will AE DD the entire raid if destroyed and kill many players.


Tanks:

- Tank spirits, hex protectors and bloodthirsty gnawers at campfire.
- Tank assigned to: An_Arcron_dread_magus, A_Wulthan_crusader, A_Krellnakor_vanguard - They spawn at door.  Pull them to Drusella Sathir and she kills them.
- Tanks pull unstable gnawers away from raid so explosion AEs don't hit raid.


Healers:

- Word of Greater Restoration spell useful to remove Pain Touch DoT

Also make a note .. no fire spells land on Guardian of Doomfire or General Reparm, even with full debuffs .. so people need to have alternate spell lineups loaded.

Overall good run, we figured out a little more.  Adjusting our tactics accordingly.  Thanks for the feedback all and everyone who was able to make it that night! :)

- General Reparm - Swapped places with pyroniling frog

So, for Reparm .. I'm guessing we need to tank the frogs on top of him to prevent him from poofing across the room when he swaps with them?

Brief Event Overview & Strategy

Preliminary work up.  First sized up event on 01-31-2019.  Subsequent run 02-01-2019, 02.

Old world style zone crawl with mixture of SI mobs.

Jopals at ZI landing point SI.  Beyond that can run invis to 2nd castle area, hug west wall.  From there, we fight in to reach first miniboss.

Guardian of Doomfire gatekeeper en route to General Reparm.

Currently if you die your corpse is sent to the zone GRAVEYARD inside the instance.  Please try and avoid clicking to bind when you die otherwise we have no way to call/rez unless we're at your corpse in the graveyard which is not likely during the event.

Guardian of Doomfire and General Reparm are IMMUNE TO FIRE SPELLS - Adjust your spell sets to be effective!

Guardian of Doomfire:

React to emote when targeted by running away from raid to avoid AE'ing everyone when Doom fades.

MEZ Imps -- Do not kill.  Tanks mark up without breaking mez on Imps.

Everyone BURN Guardian of Doomfire.


General Reparm:

React to Expanding Embers VIRAL emote when targeted by running away from raid -- Run to SOUTH SIDE of room please.

Kill frog pyronilings that spawn at timed intervals.  MEZ extras in meantime.  General Reparm SWAPS places with frogs periodically - Kill frogs immediately!

At 80%~ of General Reparm, seletons: Bone Burner 2x and burnt bones come into play.

TWO bone burners spawn; one WEST and EAST.  CC park Root/Punt burnt bones adds into corners (Dimbly coordinating).

KILL each Bone burner WEST and EAST to stop the burnt bones from spawning.


Based on the /ach, it looks like snails (slugs) will come into play and other guardians prior perhaps.  So we'll see more action as we progress further into the event.

MA Kill Order: Bone burner when up, otherwise frogs


Clerics:

Cleric in the MTO group for General Reparm make sure you're in range of MT so that your HP Aura of Divinity lands on the MT.


Casters & Healers:

Except for Cleric in MTO group - If you're a Caster/Healer, avoid standing within range of AE Rampage from General Reparm.

Remember General Reparm is immune to fire.  Casters adjust spell sets accordingly.


DPS & ADPS:

Coordinate your ADPS and BURNS for BONE BURNER spawns.  We need these down fast, as they continuously spawn burnt bones.


Tanks:

Be ready for General Reparm swapping places with frog pyronilings and quickly re-engage.

MTO - When General Reparm swaps; drag Reparm back to tank spot each time.

Trigger warns when General Reparm swaps with a frog.


Inside Instance - Moving to 2nd Castle

Once the see invis Jopals are killed at zone-in, invis and move south along the west side as the blue line indicates to the 2nd castle area.  If you aggro along the way please FADE or DIE to avoid training the raid.  Thanks.

Guardian of Doomfire

Mini Boss.  Spawns imp adds.  Doom emote targets two players periodically.


Dooming Firestorm145k DoT (18s).  Casts: Dooming Destruction on Fade - 289k Caster AE
   
Players targeted with Dooming Firestorm DoT.
   Dooming Destruction fires when buff fades and casts a 289k AE around player (75' range).
   Action: Run away from raid when emoted.
   
Burning Doom201k DoT (18s, single-target)



General Reparm

Boss.  Wild Rampages and summons.

Spawns various adds such as: frog (pyronilings), burnt bones (skeletons), bone burner at HP% of General Reparm.

General Reparm swaps places with frogs periodically.

Expanding Embers202k DoT (24s) - VIRAL (80' range).
Players targeted via emote.
   Action: Run away from raid when emoted.

Slugless - Do not let the slugs spawn from the bodies of the throne guardians.
Extinguisher - Do not allow general Reparm's Expanding flames to spread.
Reign of Frogs - Do not allow more than six frogs to be alive at one time.
